The Dreamstone was an old 80s cartoon based on a film called The Dream Thief. It's about a Noop (a green, hobbit-like creature) called Rufus becomes the apprentice of a wizard who brings dreams to all the beings of the land with the help of the Dreamstone (a rainbow coloured crystal). However an evil dragon-like demon called Zordrac, who lives in The Land of Nightmares, constantly tries to steal the Dreamstone so he can control everything with it's power. It was a rather good series.
It was a wonderfull series. I still have all the parts of VHS :D BUT she tries but sorry it is just not possible to reach Mike Batt -> ruclips.net/video/XyDED6Vr8G8/видео.html . She sounds great in her own way but i stay with the original one :D
The Dream Thief was just the pilot for the series. Anyway, yes, this song was written for that series

I was so young that I couldn't recall the name after growing up and couldn't find it. I actually sang it many times filling the lyrics whatever my brain could recover. I even composed a music piece from I could recall. Yesterday I decided put a 90s compilation of cartoons starting from 80s and prayed I accidentally run into it.. I did. No coincidence. This cartoon has more depth than I understood just like Never Ending Story the movie but that's just one of things that's magical about them!!! Can't wait to watch all episodes!!! I saw some and fragmented episodes on state TV - but the ending credits was my favorite part!!!

Lovely to see Katie, she came across the road once to help me find my bus in Birmingham 2006 that was first time I saw her. (I'm blind in my left eye and right one is weak. Just in case your wondering why I needed help). Meeting her was more than a dream, better than my wildest imaginations. Glad I found her again, saw her on justinguitar sometime later...

The Dreamstone is, and always will be my favourite movie from my time as a kid. It's inspirational, emotional and beautiful. The track to the movie crowns it, and long may it retain the throne!

This was the theme from Dreamstone, it was created by Mike Batt who also created another of Katie's songs 'Blame it on the moon'. So not really surprised to see Katie now singing this!

I really love Katie's voice, and I used to watch this show all the time as a kid. I'm so glad to hear a cover of the song, but it's made better by the fact that Katie's singing it.

The Dream Thief was a five or so minute promo they made showing the story and characters in their prototype stages (you can find it on the site). The first two episodes were originally made as a one hour special, but were still designed for the finalized Dreamstone series while the third episode is a separate story that was edited together for a VHS compilation.

Great voice, composition with harmony and a touch of nostalgy.
What a smooth and sweet performance. The final touch is the way she pronounces the word "wild". I just can't get over it.

@BYERE The movie's on VHS and is made up of the first three episodes of the first season. Until about a week ago, I'd always thought it was a one-off movie! I didn't even know there were four seasons!
