  • Do you ever wonder when is it the right time to call a Doctor a Doctor? In this episode I share my point of view.
    Hey! In this series I welcome you into my home and share with you some of my most bizarre customer service stories in the salon/industry and I allow you the viewer to weigh in on if I was wrong or right on how I handled each situation.
    I decided to make this series to share my experiences but to also free my mind of blah... HA HA HA! I believe this will be fun and it will give those a opportunity to learn about possible customer service situation and how to resolve issues; and give future artist a insight on maybe similar situations they may have experienced and to know they are not alone!

    The “Am I Wrong” series was not designed to be disrespectful or to put down one another. This series was created to hear both sides of the spectrum whether we agree or disagree, this is still a learning experience for ALL people who are in the customer service industry and just dealing with people. I just decided to make it about my work place since that’s where I spend most of my time. I want you guys to be entertained but take from it as well ! Ok ladies catch on “Am I Wrong” 😍

    I think you were right with your judgement. Whenever I go places where I need services, I never even want anyone to know my profession.

    Great intuition. Right call. At the end of the day, it’s your business, your choice, your piece of mind. 👍🏽

    I understand what you are saying. I'm a teacher and I remember a father of my student introduced himself as "Dr. So and So" ...it rubbed me the wrong way. Wasn't sure why but I guess it gives off a "show off" vibe. Most parents just tell me their first name. I remember reading on a message board a female doctor was conflicted as to what the DJ should introduce her and her husband as on their wedding day when they enter the hall. "Mr and Mrs So and So" or "Mr and Dr So and So". It's your wedding! You're a "Mrs" today. Lol! I understand using it in certain settings but not in everyday regular settings. Some of them "throw it in there" unnecessarily for a reason.

      Wow that’s a crazy story! I have several Doctor clients and 2 future Doctor students and surprisingly they all understood where I was coming from and agreed it actually turns their noise up if one of their peers address themselves in that nature outside the work place. Look I get it, you worked damn hard and I appreciate your sacrifice but don’t .... do that

    I feel you, I hate when people try to throw their weight around. Like it's supposed to mean something to you.

    There is no need to announce that you are a dr. If you’re not in a dr/patient situation. Maybe Doctor is her first name? 😂😂😂😂

    I am not sure of my position on this one. I can see it from both sides. Looking at it from the other side - This is the real world and most people are impressed by fame/title/positions etc. She probably thought she was more likely to get an appointment because of her position than if she was just a regular customer. I understand you actions as well but most times it is better to take the high road. By not returning the call, you may have missed an opportunity to form a deep relationship and it may reflect poorly on your business. Perhaps speaking with her may have revealed someone different from what came across in the short message. JMO....

      Yes I considered the other side, and I agree with you totally; but my time and energy these days is precious to me. #sorrybutnotsorry . Thank you so much for tuning and your comment

    I understand why you didn't want to deal with them, no not wrong. I think this is more about tolerance level than wrong or right.

    but you make the distinction that you're a "celebrity" stylist, which makes the suggestion that you accept a certain type of client. Maybe she thought her title was necessary in this instance. To answer the question if you're wrong, I would say yes because you made a lot of judgements against this person haven never given her the benefit of a conversation.

    Sorry, not feeling you on this one. She could of been calling you from work and was using her title a lot that day, and just blurted out her title without thinking. You don't know what frame of mind she was in.
    Next time you can have your assistant return the call on your behalf to feel them out.

    I don’t understand why she felt the need to throw her title out there. You being a doctor has nothing to do with getting a hair service ma’am. 😂 maybe she thought she’d get cool points or a discount or treated like she was above your other clients.

    • @StylistLee1
      @StylistLee1  5 лет назад

      My thoughts exactly.. No special treatments just good service and respect
