I SAW THIS IN 2016 FOR FIRST TIME. WHY HASN'T THIS BECOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE? I'M A TRAINER IN SILICA, AND BELIEVE ALL SHOULD LEARN THIS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. KIDS BEGIN TO PLAY IN THIS DUST, AND ALOT OF HEALTH ISSUES LATER ON CAN BE PREVENTED.

Not sure if the soil our kids play in contain that much to harm them, but the workers sure are breathing it in. Apparently the government was afraid the information on this would deter ppl from working in these fields. Sickening.
It is sickening that they knew about this back then, but did nothing about it.

Yeah - it took 80 years to get Frances Perkins recommendations enacted into law. Could have save a lot of lives.
I live in vancouver Bc. These building being constructed are still filled with silica
