I'm interested in getting the new Marvel Legends Holocaust/Nemesis figures as well as figures and accessories for the New Fate Route Anime Remake/Reboot Adaptation.
I managed to avoid every one of those. That’s a first for me. I’m finding being more picky with purchases is more rewarding than just buying up everything. There’s a little FOMO, but far less buyer’s remorse.
Just because a figure wasn't needed doesnt make it bad. The problem is when hasbro goes cheap with old molds, pins, no accessories, minimal paint, bad engineering on articulation, and terrible proportions on body parts. Which unfortunately, happens too often.
I think the problem with the brightness is the lack of detailing or washing to bring it out. The vibrancy is cheap looking instead of the bright but smooth and high quality look from the movie.
It ridiculous Hasbro hasn't released a Hydroman inspired by Diamond Select's incredible Sandman figure. Swappable lower body, swappable forearms. It works great for Sandman and would work even better for Hydroman.
Instead of Miguel being reissued, they should have reissued Noir in the Spider-Verse wave. The multiverse gadget and Miguel head could have been included with Gwen along with Lila (or with anyone else is in the wave).
I would sort of agree with the Across the Spider verse figures BUT I have to say with the Gwen, the headsculpt is so solid that I see it as a $20 headsculpt, which given the cost of custom headsculpts is excellent value... much cheaper than $40...
how to upgrade that black panther. swap the torso with retro black suit Spider-man. and keep the broader shoulders arms and legs od the Vulcan buck. and if you can remove the gold belt section and glue in on cuz that part doesn't move so it'd be in place
I was about to buy this 2099 Spider-man but chose to buy others instead when was beginning to regret it. Your video helped me to stop regretting a little! ☺️
Hasbro’s New Year’s resolution should be to get rid of dumbbell neck joints on all figures permanently and go back to the disk hinge for the neck for now on or at least find an alternative neck idea that still allows the figures to look up far, especially flying characters like iron man or guys with wings. I’ve heard you mention the dumbbell joints so many times Shartimus and every time you do I say to myself, “he’s damn right, that dumbbell joint was a very dumb idea from the start and I don’t know why hasbro is sticking with it still”. I agree with you 100% man, those dumbbell joints have ruined so many figures for me and the need to go away. You make the best review videos Shartimus and I’ll never stop watching them, you’re honest about the figures, you make the videos fun to watch and you inspire me to want to do my own RUclips videos but of stop motion with my action figures. Happy new year Shartimus, PEACE ✌️
The only one of these that I got was Spider-Gwen. I like the new colors, especially the hair. She’s ok. I didn’t get very many Marvel Legends this year and I wasn’t disappointed
I think people forget that 2099 he's also half Irish he's not got a Latin American surname so being pale isn't too bad but I get it in the movie they made him darker
The only figure I own on this entire list (including the figures you showed all together in your opening) is the Mark 9 Iron Man. So I'm glad I managed to avoid spending any money on 19 of the worst figures of 2024. LOL! Although I personally don't hate that Mark 9 Iron Man. While it's not my favorite Iron Man armor, it's not one of the worst figures of the year, IMO. Then again, these days I've become much more discerning when it comes to which Marvel Legends I buy. I now skip a lot of the re-releases like the Secret Wars Wolverine, Captain America, Spidey, and Iron Man. I'm personally pretty happy with the retro-card brown suit Wolverine, The 20th Anniversary Cap, retro-card black suit Spider-Man, and the 80th Anniversary classic Iron Man (and Thor, and Hulk, etc.) I'm just done buying the same figures over and over again with minor "improvements", such as pin-less joints which I really don't care about. The only character re-do I'm really interested in these days would be a classic Byrne style Cyclops. Otherwise I pretty much only buy new characters that have never been done before like Titania and The Beyonder.
I like the deadpool and wolverine deadpool and wolverine figures. The hasbro at least gave him scabbards and his guns can be removed and holstered. His suit has the gold accents as well that other versions lack. The wolverine does have a bright yellow suit and they could have done a wash or something but thats not something i will get too upset over. I used some soft pastels and dirtied him up a bit adding some shading/depth. Its a pretry easy way to customize it and make him look better. I have some bare arms on order and i chromed his claws with liquid chrome. Have a pair of wolverine claws, gold pistols and a spine on order for Deadpool. I picked up the Goblin figure and he looks great on the glider. I have the no way home Spider-man figures but am a bit hesitant to pose them. Their joints feel a bit stiff eapecially the Holland one. I saw someone say the leg joint snapped when they tried to hard pose them. I may try warming them up and see if it loosens him up.
I found a whole 6 pieces of Iron Man Model 9 at ROSS for $7/ea and the marbles and cheapness kept me from picking it up! they were all gone the following day, but It just looks like rubbery plastic to me, so no loss.
Honestly, i hope that they do a hydro-man man figure like the retro sandman where you could swap human form hand with the water hand form! Maybe swapping legs with water effect like the cannonball!
I was actually happy with that justice figure. Needed that version for the Avengers collection. Same for crystal. Won't defend lockjaw though. Too small, doesn't have the right face. Looks more like Puppy from the Claremont fantastic four run
I've finally given up on Marvel Legends & selling them off, just look so friggin' cheap looking compared to other lines and am so sick of the overly shiny/glossy plastic and the legs & thighs never match up either in tone.
The only figure I actually have on this list is the Last Stand Spidey, and yeah, it’s pretty disappointing that he’s got no ab crunch at all, but I still like the figure because the sculpt is good and I actually really like the Last Stand suit. Overall, good list.
Maybe I'm forgetting something, but I can't think of the last time we got the classic red and yellow Iron Man. I guess the AI Iron Man comes pretty close if you're OK with the blue eyes. Otherwise, the ML 20th anniversary figure had that Ditko pointy head and the Alex Ross IM had gold instead of this version's classic yellow.
As far as I'm concerned, your opinions are rule of thumb. Hey, but what the hell do I know? Today I just bought Speedball from Ollie's for ten bucks, and I'm having all kinds of geeky fun with it. That twelve year old kid inside me has way too much freedom.
First appearance rogue and the sarnies were 2 of my least favourite figures due to rogues scrappy articulation and warbirds height and lack of ability to look up which is something that Hasbro really need to work hard on.
The Namor and Brother Voodoo figures I wanted so much I pre-ordered them as soon as they became available. I would really love to see an MCU Namora and a comics Attuma too.
Wow! Those spiderverse figures were awful. Kind of glad as for the price of the figures they should be putting in more detail and giving fans what they want.
I only got India and Prowler Miles as they are the only good ones and they were the only ones I wanted (unfortunately got Peter as a gift and he sucks but thinking about selling it) The rest of the characters I didn't buy as I bought the CT Toys versions of, and I have way better ones because the ones in this new wave are TERRIBLE
the only fig that i liked in your list is the Pinless Ironman, I personally liked the color of the Ai Ironman however I dont like the visible pins, so when they announced this one, i got so excited. so Im getting it instead of the Ai ironman
Don’t agree with Secret Wars Iron Man. They updated the figure and it’s arguably better than previous releases of the figure and it comes with more accessories. But I gotta say the rest of the list nailed it.
I keep seeing the Wolverine Hugh Jackman in the worst lists and I really don’t get it. I think he has Hugh Jackman long proportions and the suit looks good to me. And both heads are a treat. Could always articulate better but no way it’s one of the worst imo
His thighs stick out way too far, his arms are too small, the yellow is too bright, and the worst part is that hasbro will probably sell it again sleeve less.
Justice and the Spidey figs are great IMO. Crystal would be in my top 10 worst. Looked fuckall like the comics. Fun video though, love seeing what people liked and disliked. The Spiderverse wave 100% deserves that top 3 spot
wow 3 IronMans 😂 yeah, that's a great list. most people's (bottom) 10 list I wouldn't watch cuz gripping and complaining is the point, right? but you're my favorite 🫶 your gripes are very matter-of-fact, and your complaints are not super aggressive (I just don't want to listen to people who are probably yelling about toys they don't like) thankfully I skipped most of these, 😅 so thanks for buying them and reassuring me that I was right not to 😊 my Boy likes Superior IronMan. he asked for it when we were pre ordering the Zabu wave. that Red Widow is definitely worse, like useless. man! I feel like Zabu came with a lot of luggage. I repainted the hammer that came with (dark Thor, aka IDGAF, aka more Zabu luggage) and gave it to Hydra Cap, so it was good for something. the Destiny 2 pack 🙄 objectively so bad. [it's not but] I feel like I got 2 repaints of {Cloak and} Dagger for no reason except to have one of them literally just stand there next to Magneto (yeah she's a Magneto accessory 🤷) and the other 🫤 I'm not even going to bother using it as kit bash fodder. best use I have for that Rogue (aka Destiny's luggage ) is maybe a paint test swatch.
2024 was a really good year for Marvel Legends almost as good as 2019 was. Thanks for this top 10 list Shartimus and have a happy new year. For now my next picks for 2025 will be The Lizard and Electro to finally complete my NWH display and see what other figures Hasbro has yet to be revealed.
Shart I know you're doing the thing, but I am soooo tempted to make a parody video of all the top ten action figure lists being uploaded to RUclips right now
So, you put Last Stand on here because...you don't like the concept? Seems like a waste of a slot if the figure itself is fine. I think Miles is a terrible character but I'm sure he's probably got some fine figures.
I'm surprised deadpool wolverine didn't make the list. Maybe not top 5, but certainly top 10 worst legends this year. For me its not so much the bright clean colors or lack of paint, but the terrible proportions that gives Logan a stubby fat look with wide hips. Also weak on the articulation. I'm surprised that model 9 Ironman and the black panther made the list. They don't seem that bad to me. More like just average figures. I like them for what they are. I agree with the rest tho. I probably would add that black thor. The sculpt is cool, but the figure was unnecessary. Just a really cheap repaint.
Honestly, I'll watch your reviews and a few others, MCU Collector/DanWho, and decide based on you three what figures I buy. If you guys say it suck, I don't buy it. Long story short, I don't have a top ten worst that I've bought

The fact they gave a second chance at 2099 and still didnt give him clawed hands blows my mind
@@gLOLdos 🤔 would the claw hands from Superior Spiderman, or a Black Panther be a suitable swap?
I managed to avoid every one of those. That’s a first for me. I’m finding being more picky with purchases is more rewarding than just buying up everything. There’s a little FOMO, but far less buyer’s remorse.

Last Stand Spider-Man felt like a slap in the face.
Funniest part is that they tried to pose it 😂
Talos body lol
I got mine as a gift and still feel ripped off
3 iron man and 4 spiderman, that should say something
@@franciscojavierdiazdeleonn5453 that's cuz Shart doesn't like Spiderman
😉🤥
I've said for ages, the Spider-Verse toys look like knock-offs imported from Mexico that you see on sale at the 99 cents store....
Yeah I can’t support that line anymore. It’s not great and feels super cheap for the price
BRING BACK THE OLD INTRO
As soon they announced the “updated” 2099 spider man, it was the motivation to make the purchase for the SH Figuarts version and don’t regret it
Last-Man Spider-Stand felt like a face at the end of a slap.
Man-Last Stand-Spider faces a slap like the end of his face felt.
0:51 Deadpool and Wolverine's costumes are bright in the movie (at the beginning at least) so I'd argue the figures are pretty accurate to the film.
I think the problem with the brightness is the lack of detailing or washing to bring it out. The vibrancy is cheap looking instead of the bright but smooth and high quality look from the movie.
This Justice's head sculpt goes so incredibly well with captain America Secret Empire
It ridiculous Hasbro hasn't released a Hydroman inspired by Diamond Select's incredible Sandman figure. Swappable lower body, swappable forearms. It works great for Sandman and would work even better for Hydroman.
That chrome paint looks badass! Wish thats what we got!
Extra $0.01? No thank you.

I legitimately thought that SpiderPunk was Hypno Hustler when I first saw it
The only one of these that I got was Spider-Gwen. I like the new colors, especially the hair. She’s ok. I didn’t get very many Marvel Legends this year and I wasn’t disappointed
I like your list, it's the huge disappointment on figures that shouldn't have been so weak, it's extra like wtf,
I think people forget that 2099 he's also half Irish he's not got a Latin American surname so being pale isn't too bad but I get it in the movie they made him darker

This should have been a disappointed list than worst. The majority of the issues you have are all on rehashed builds and lackluster paint detailing.

Its a shame they made so many bad spider-man figures this year
Always fun catching your vids. Tell me, what night are you & Sentry doing your show now?
Could you post a "coming up" announcement on here each week? Is that a pain? Idk
Honestly, i hope that they do a hydro-man man figure like the retro sandman where you could swap human form hand with the water hand form! Maybe swapping legs with water effect like the cannonball!
They went out of their way to give us repaints/reuse of the spiderverse figures, but no deluxe Octavia figure. Shame.
I was actually happy with that justice figure. Needed that version for the Avengers collection. Same for crystal.
Won't defend lockjaw though. Too small, doesn't have the right face. Looks more like Puppy from the Claremont fantastic four run
I got scared when I saw spider shot on the thumbnail cuz he’s my fav
I think a cool idea for a tier list would be failed action figure kickstarter tier list
I want a Spiderverse 2099 with butterfly joints from Hasbro. The design lends itself to it.
Oh my we have Shard the News Anchor!!!
If hydro teamed up with namor they would be very powerful
I hate seeing spider shot/assassin spiderman, I was asking for that costume for years in legends form
I think the multi verse figures would have sold better had hey been released with the movie. NOT 3 YEARS LATER!
I've finally given up on Marvel Legends & selling them off, just look so friggin' cheap looking compared to other lines and am so sick of the overly shiny/glossy plastic and the legs & thighs never match up either in tone.
Love man! Have a great day compa.
I’m sure that version of justice is the same one when he joined the Avengers along with fire star. It would have been volume 3 the. Hero’s returns 93

The Namor and Brother Voodoo figures I wanted so much I pre-ordered them as soon as they became available. I would really love to see an MCU Namora and a comics Attuma too.
So glad I didn't buy that 2099 and bought the CT Toys one for way less and the CT is a really great figure
This guy complaining about Deadpool and Wolverine when they are the best marvel legends in a long time
My opinion is justice is underrated 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Justice has the best head swap head for retro card Gambit. Just saying
Imo that's the best black widow hasbro given us, the one before this was very plain and trashy.
Wow! Those spiderverse figures were awful. Kind of glad as for the price of the figures they should be putting in more detail and giving fans what they want.

Awesome bad legends list 🔥🔥
as a some what new marvel legend fan i’m really happy to get that classic iron man!
Okay, you lost me at Model 9B
I'm sorry but model 9 iron man is goated 😭🙏
It looks great and I don't really know why would you put him there
Iron man looks like a ugly version of mega man. If it was 2 tone blue it would be a 1/12 mega man
Don’t agree with Secret Wars Iron Man. They updated the figure and it’s arguably better than previous releases of the figure and it comes with more accessories. But I gotta say the rest of the list nailed it.
I wish my deadpool 3 figures would arrive it's been months
What's wrong with Deadpool I thought he was fine. Brother voodoo looks cool too
Shart said Deadpool and Wolverine are good figures but just needed more paint
I keep seeing the Wolverine Hugh Jackman in the worst lists and I really don’t get it. I think he has Hugh Jackman long proportions and the suit looks good to me. And both heads are a treat. Could always articulate better but no way it’s one of the worst imo
His thighs stick out way too far, his arms are too small, the yellow is too bright, and the worst part is that hasbro will probably sell it again sleeve less.
He also has a dad bod which in the movie he does not. So yeah there's some proportion issues.
Justice and the Spidey figs are great IMO. Crystal would be in my top 10 worst. Looked fuckall like the comics. Fun video though, love seeing what people liked and disliked. The Spiderverse wave 100% deserves that top 3 spot

I’m surprised the ATSV Spider-Man Peter wasn’t on this list (I’m not) but that figure is the worst of the year for me.
Jees more like a barbie to me. The last 3
The dog is the worst out of all of them
I’m actually happy with the namor figure
2024 was a really good year for Marvel Legends almost as good as 2019 was.

I'll give you 5/10
What?
Big time spiderman is better than them
The Wolverine and Deadpool are so overrated. Saw a it of people put t on their favorites.
Yeah those were bad figures.
What make/type of chrome paint did you use for the Iron Man dude?
Vampires have pale skin Shart

Wait until you see shf Deadpool and wolverine.... this ml figures feels like hot toys
Shart I know you're doing the thing, but I am soooo tempted to make a parody video of all the top ten action figure lists being uploaded to RUclips right now
Everything about that Secret Wars Iron Man screamed HARD PASS. The bright colors alone were a turnoff for me, making it look like a baby toy.
So, you put Last Stand on here because...you don't like the concept? Seems like a waste of a slot if the figure itself is fine. I think Miles is a terrible character but I'm sure he's probably got some fine figures.
Last Stand Spiderman is a TERRIBLE figure.
@RIME387 Looks and feels like every other figure 🤷♂️ and Last Stand Spider-Man is rad, so
They tend to make black character molds smaller for some reason
Literally every figure I didn't grab!!! So 100%agree!!!!
You have very bad taste in everything
