There is a Ford dealer near Monee IL that still has four (4) 2021 black widows sitting on their lot. Their asking price is $91,000!! I noticed that they all have rust on the front swingarms & suspension parts. They want $91,000 for a truck 2 years old....CRAZY. I am thinking of offering them $60,000 out the door. If they turn me down, fine. They can sit and rust another year.
Looks nice and that's it. Those "premium components" in real life are among the lowest of quality. Dealers will attempt to sell you on it with the warranty. Might as well be non existent. You won't be able to reach anyone for anything warranty related. The dealer will blame it on the vendor (SCA) not responding and thr vendor will blame it on the dealer. I'm speaking from experience. I owned a brand new Black Widow build. Quickly realized it was only for looks so I got rid of it and haven't looked back. If thinking about a Black Widow in any model , save yourself a headache, time and money and find a place to do a real build for you.
Exactly this…i owned one and all the aftermarket stuff started rusting out within 2 years…i also had to sign something when i bought the truck saying the dealer wasn’t responsible for any aftermarket component failures..i traded it in and got a Raptor….best decision i made… i paid over 60 for mine in 18 and for that money, the truck shouldn’t be rusting out after 2 years…
Bought a used black widow f150.After doing a thorough inspection of the suspension and workmanship i discovered this guys cut corners. Their workmanship is awful, who knows who leads their quality department but they should be fired. Every one who owns one should check the front break lines. Instead of getting replaced they were just bent to reach the new relocated bracket on front. Exhaust was welded a little to short not meeting the mounting points as they would on OEM. I’ll make a video and post it soon of the quality of work they do.
Yikes, that sucks. I’m betting 70-80% of the demographic who would/are buying these won’t check for that kind of stuff. It’ll be typical pavement princess
100k for a mid tier trim with mostly cosmetic upgrades and 1 or 2 minor functional upgrades and the Limited badge is ridiculous. May as well save 10k and get the regular Limited which actually has all the bells and whistles
I would NOT recommend buying a Ford F-150 Black Widow. We own a 2022 Ford F-150 Black widow and the support for parts is seriously lacking and out right TERRIBLE! You must go through SCA for any claims or parts and the same one guy answers the phone every time!!!!! The dealership I bought the truck through has been waiting for MONTHS (since August of 2024 it is now October 18, 2024) to get the parts our truck needs. They can not provide any timeframe for the parts for my Black Widow truck and just leaving the customer (me) in the dark! You pay extremely good money for one these Black Widow package trucks just to be left in the dark as a customer. I hope NO ONE ever gets into an accident in one of these trucks as you will wait months...........for parts!!!! To say we are not a satisified customer is an understatement. We bought our brand new Black Widow F-150 in September of 2023 and did not know all the issues you would face to get them fixed if something is wrong or god forbid you need a replacement part! Black Widow/SCA needs to do better!
Built for "looks" by what they think looks good LOL, you could build a truck with superior performance for way less than what this thing costs. They think this is "Limited" Cheap parts, (other than the Fox Shocks) their garbage badging and useless wheels and tire... You can keep this thing just another "Pavement Princess"

Lots of cosmetic stuff very few functional features. Not that they aren’t nice, but I’ll take my build over this.
