Tumblr has always been weird, the NSFW ban just brought the weird to the top because a lot of people used Tumblr for either NSFW, game news, or fanart. Without the NSFW there was a vaccum as there where a lot of casualties in all 3 major groups from people who had overlapping accounts, or just quitting in protest, or multiple accounts on the same address which lead to losing non-NSFW accounts when the NSFW where deleted. Thus the weird parts filled in the cracks rapidly to keep the site alive. Now the Gamer and Fanart groups have stabilized but there's no burying the weird
So basically, Tumblr had a city sized sinkhole that took out at least 50% of its inhabitants and a bunch of aliens decided to help rehabitate.

The moment the male/female/prefer not to answer one came up, I immediately thought of Fallen London. I'm thrilled that it was actually referenced. Fun note, if you pick that, your character profile refers to you as a person of mysterious and indistinct gender...and npc's are like "Si-, err, mada-, ah, yes" The game is amazingly well written, and I highly recommend it. If anyone does, let me know. I can always use more friends for social actions

@@thatrandomcrit5823 Yep! Fallen London is a story-driven browser-based RPG. The screenshot in the video is the actual bit from the game where it asks your character's gender. The game is free to play, though there are some paid dlc stories. If you subscribe, you get them ahead of time as part of the subscription (and the sub is a few bucks cheaper than the story by itself) as well as a few other perks. It's great fun, even if more than a bit grindy at times

As a professional cook, I fully agree with the minced garlic post. Dried garlic a garlic powder are inferior, but not minced garlic from a jar. The chemical changes in dried garlic and garlic powder effect the flavor and nutritional values. Simply mincing it and storing it in a jar with a bit of water doesn't effect it as much. I've never met a chef that turns their nose up a the raw minced garlic. It's a great time saver.
We'd PREFER to use fresh minced, but sometimes a jar of pre minced is actually better for what you're making. Pre minced garlic has had time to mellow without losing its flavor. Fresh minced has more bite to it. For instance, garlic butter, pre minced is better; for Caesar dressing, fresh minced is best. Pre minced is better for pizza sauce, but fresh is best with home made Alfredo sauce, either works with marinara sauce, depending on many factors.

Can concur. Not a pro cook, but someone that's cooked from the age of like 10 for the family or himself and cooks primarily chinese food. The other thing to note is that the garlic for the pre minced are usually 1 type of garlic so if you're looking to use a different garlic with a different flavor, you'll have to go fresh minced. But, for the most part, there's very little difference, even in chinese food which usually requires a good amount of garlic between pre minced and fresh. Any lost in flavor is usually small enough that you can make up for it by adding a little more. The other thing too is that, even without the garlic having a chance to mellow, jars of minced garlic isn't usually purely garlic. It'll be like garlic, water, possibly salt and/or preservatives. Sometimes, it's that combination alone that has the flavor that you want, like say for dipping sauces.

I just wanted to profusely thank you for recommending this to me. It’s probably the best-written fanfic I’ve read in years and I love not only that it builds upon Luna (probably my second-favourite character in the original HP arc) but that it develops a realistic platonic relationship that you quickly become invested in seeing progress and blossom, rather than going the typical (?) route of a romance arc.

That can work, but there are some exceptions:
1. They're a REALLY big asshole who will just get rid of the dogs.
2. They'll make the dogs dirty, go on social media, and start making a fundraiser to help the dogs; not only making them money to sustain the dogs, but also making it so that people will want to adopt them.

I'd suggest that the train station announcer is in the UK. There are a load of drivers and conductors who make hilarious announcements, usually on a trip that's going to be mostly filled by regulars. The thought of a station master doing the same seems to be pretty normal to me ;)

Loved MLP as a kid bc how they handled Fluttershy. They could teach her to be brave, to stand up for herself, but at the end of thr day she was her shy introverted self and sometimes needed to learn over and over. But she was still herself. Because she wasnt flawed, she just needed to learn when to be strong. I had a lot of anxiety as a kid. So. Fluttershy episodes were ACTUALLY helpful for me lol
