    All the 'U.S. american' people out here thinking that Dulce needs to speak English in all of her videos just need to suck it up. Just learn a different language. Most American people are too isolated from other cultures and they think English will take you anywhere. That's kind of true but so narrow minded. It's much better knowing more languages because you will have a more open look on things and people in Spanish speaking countries or other countries will have more respect for you. See this as a motivation. Love this video, Dulce!

    • @kristhemuslimah
      @kristhemuslimah 10 лет назад +6

      I think you said this perfectly. There is no reason not to try and learn a new language. As the world is progressing, we as individuals need to also. Spanish is the next most common language next to English in the US, and people shouldn't be intimidated by learning something new. Spanish is a very easy language to learn if its something you'd really be interested in learning about. I think dulce did a great job in this video, being able to connect to her Spanish speaking audience and still having her English audience giving her support.

      So true! I am French and I have to study English really hard, but most of the English speakers do not think it's important to learn other languages. So when you meet an English or American person, you can speak English with them but they are disrespectful because they don't try to talk to you in your language.
      Ps : of course, I'm not saying you're all like that. DulceCandy is a good example!

    I am a high school Spanish teacher (native English speaker) and I love to show parts of this video to my students! However I'm afraid to show my students the comments on here because of how negative they can be. Those of you who learned English, you should know how scary it can be to learn a new language and the younger generations have the most trouble with speaking a second language when they are learning because they're afraid of messing up and being talked about/made fun of like some of you are doing in these comments. Instead of hating you should applaud the efforts of a highly-watched youtuber to speak another language instead of hating on her for the "technical" or "formality" of her speaking. I think she's done a great job and I would love to see more videos en Español.

    I like hearing you speak in Spanish even though I don't understand 99% of it lol(4 semesters in college didn't help at all). I love the video.
    And for those of you asking for English subtitles....OMG get over yourself. She hasn't put Spanish subtitles on any of her 300+ English videos. Or any other language subtitles. And she shouldn't have to. For the most part you can understand and see what she's doing and she shows all the products. Like seriously if it's not one thing it's another. Plus she literally has 100s of other tutorials in English some probably similar to this one. Stop being lazy and go back and watch them. Dulce didn't have to do this video, but I'm pretty sure her Spanish viewers are thankful but she didn't HAVE to do this video and she doesn't HAVE to include subtitles. (Ok my rant is over)

    Hi Dulce! I just wanted to say I love you and your videos. I remember a few months ago you were complaining on some wrinkles appearing on your face. My mum is a beautician and told me, when moisturizing, washing or doing makeup with your hands on your face you should ALWAYS:
    For forehead: Sweep upwards towards your hairline.
    For cheeks: Sweep upwards towards your temples and forehead.
    For the upper lip and chin you move your fingers back and forth in a side to side motion.
    For nose: Sweep up towards your forehead
    For neck: Sweep upwards towards your face
    For eyes: Sweep your finger from the outer part of your eye into the corner of your eye, then go up to the frown line and around the upper eyebrow and back down to where you started, making the figure eight on your way.
    I hope this helps anyone!!

    I can't speak Spanish but I still enjoyed the video, it's not that hard to follow, turn it down and play some music if it's that big of a deal.
    I DONT think she should start another channel for Spanish videos because it is a part of HER. And how confusing is it to read "my first Spanish video"?
    You'll be okay, it's really not that serious..
    Great video Dulce, I'm happy you are expanding and trying new things for your channel!

    Hey Dulce. I see a lot of comments saying that you should've put this on another channel. I am only fluent in English but I still watched it and was glad to see it on your main channel because being a Spanish speaker is part of your identity. You shouldn't have to separate parts of yourself for anyone! If they don't understand that, oh well. It's not like the tutorial is cannot be completely understood if you aren't speaking English. You show the product and how you applied it. I think it's great that you are planning to add more Spanish speaking vids. English or Spanish, this is you.

    I think she did an incredible job. Personally , I was born here but learned to speak Spanish first. Now that I'm older I can articulate myself in English a lot better than I ever could in Spanish. It is difficult formulating phrases that do not directly translate into Spanish from English so yes it does make me nervous. Especially if I am speaking with someone who's fluency in Spanish outweighs mine so I understand perfectly why at times it seems like Dulce seemed like she was faking an accent that was simply her nerves seeping through her voice. Regardless, nicely done dulce !

  • @kristhemuslimah
    @kristhemuslimah 10 лет назад +22

    I loved this video but honestly some of the comments here are very rude. Let me point out...
    1. Dulce doesn't need to have a second channel for her Spanish speaking subscribers. There's really no other way to put it. She can cater to both her English audience and her Spanish audience on one channel. There are other RUclipsrs who put videos up in English and their native language for viewers to relate to.
    2. Although this video is in spanish, it is quite easy to understand. BUT dont ASSUME ALL of the people who view this video can understand. People from all different age groups and countries watch her videos. Something that may be easy for you to understand may not be easy for someone else to understand.
    People, there ARE ways of getting your voices and opinions heard and understood without being rude rude people. Yes, there may not be a need for subtitles or this or that; but be polite. Your rudeness can ruin someone's whole day.
    And, (like I mentioned on someone else's comment) the world is progressing, and that includes the United States. Next to English, Spanish is the second most common language in the US which means we are more likely to come in contact with people who speak spanish rather than any other language. Im not saying there aren't people who speak other languages but Spanish is very common now. It wouldn't hurt to learn it, its fairly simple and very easy to understand. Dont knock it till you try it!

Yo que hablo español tome clases de lenguaje español para hablarlo y escribirlo mejor. Same goes for English. Some people talk proper English and some others talk broken English. Casi casi nunca le vas a dar por su lado a la gente. Siempre va haber alguien que te critique. Pero tu solo sigue haciendo lo tuyo y aquí está tu fan apoyándote todo el camino. Dios te bendiga Dulce! me encanta que hagas videos en español!! te puedo comentar un par de cosas? crease se dice "banana" o "cuenca del ojo", foundation se dice base de maquillaje, concealer es corrector, bridge of the nose es el puente de la nariz, bronzer se dice polvos bronceadores o polvos de sol, top of the cheekbones se dice en la parte superior del pómulo, lid se dice párpado móvil, color bajito para las cejas sería color más suave para las cejas, I really really hope that will help you, I completely understand your position I actually have my youtube channel and even being spanish I do also upload english version of my videos and sometimes is a bit hard to translate! good job!

    I honestly think it comes down to how your parents talk to you at home. I was born in El Salvador but raised in the US since I was 5 but my parents have always spoke to me in spanish only and I always speak to them in spanish so spanish is still my first language. I haven't lost my Salvadorian accent either lol Then I have a friend that is Spanish too born in the US but her parents speak to her only in english so when she talks in spanish it sounds kinda funky. Like shes trying too hard to pronounce words I guess you could say? So yeah Dulce sounded kinda rough but honestly it wasn't too bad. Especially since talking about makeup in spanish is hard. lol Its still a good effort from her part!

      @KatherineGuevara12 10 лет назад +3

      I'm salvadorian too! And even though my parents raised me with a lot of Spanish I still kind of struggle with it, I can't even talk in an salvadorian accent :(. I think living here has really taken a toll on my Spanish.

      katherine guevara totally agree with you! Im actually mexican and spanish is my first language and even though we always talk to each other in Spanish i tend to struggle with it and i think its due to the fact that i came here at a young age and everything revolving around me is in english! Lol

      I'm salvadorian too! I was born in Canada, but my situation is the same as ***** I picked up Spanish pretty fast when I was little, and I speak it all the time with my parents, even though they can speak English too. I also went to med school for a year in El Salvador so I was forced to write and speak at a university level, it was tricky, but I managed perfectly well! I purposely speak to my parents in Spanish just to make sure I get practice, it's pretty helpful :)

      I agree with Johanna Carter ^^. My first language is Vietnamese but like Johanna says, you basically get so used to speaking that you forget how to speak your native language...I used to be more fluent when I was younger. That was a naive comment ...

      I'm Filipino but don't speak frequently because my children don't understand it. When I do go to talk to my dad or what not I'm at a loss for a bit. So it didn't annoy me at all. Actually I didn't even think twice until you pointed it out.
