It feels great to find one of these weapons in random chests in random planets where you're casually just exploring, these weapons are so bizarre, but cool.
+GrayoftheGalaxy thats cool i had no idea they did that. although it doesnt put out a cloud of flame, it expels some of the gas that it ignites. Also, unless it deals more damage than the regular attack, i fail to see a use for it other than the coolness of it lol. +Johnnie Johnson thats not how flamethrowers work exactly though. flamethrowers dont normally expel a vapor into the air only to be detonated later. as you said they spew out fuel and catch it on fire. not expel a vapor that is ignited later. Thats more like a fuel air bomb
The weapon Star Cleaver appears to be a reference to Spectrobes. The weapon is similar to the weapons in it and the Cloud it shoots out appears to look like an item that you find at the start of the second Spectrobe game.
+Mason Gilchrist I have 6 flamethrowers. they vary in looks, and in pricing (cause i found them on different difficultys) Shame it doesn't list the damage.. i wish it did >.>
Found the 'Gnome Gun'. Interesting little item, but the damage output makes it essentially useless in combat. Still, it's a nice piece for my growing weapons archive. A pity so many gnomes had to die for me to find it, though. Such a pity.
the one "slave sword" as you called it I actually got, and it had almost 300 thousand hit points of damage every time you swing it. so basically, swing it and they die.
I found the flamethrower, it seems to do damage at different ranges (which makes since) other than that, it's pretty good especially when you're at the point where you only have radiation protection.
Yo randomise, i was going around chest and i found a knife called: Splatterknife, but the thing is, it doesnt have damage at the wiki, but it damage is 3000. But the problem is, somehow the upgraded version has like 26 damage, DaFudge?
want about the bone hammer? the one that the guy is holding just before you fight the floran plant boss? i remember it being basically the water sword except the weapons bones always went to the same place and a gravity effect
3:43 The flame thrower in the current version drains your energy in 3 seconds :P On a side note: It is legendary quality but you can acquire one easily by doing quests. The Gnome and Frying Pan weapons are the most hilarious, but I do wonder if they exist anymore as of the latest update.
+TinchoX I just bought this game 2 days ago to play with a friend, within 3-4 hours found the gnome gun. didn't even know it was rare, guess ill hold onto it
Seagull Jesus To be honest a few weeks after I posted that message I found not one, nor two, but FOUR Gnome Guns, you just destroy the hell out of the Gnome structures if you find any, and you get hilarious crap out of it :P
I remember from older versions of Starbound, that you could find an boss enemy, larger than normal enemy, that boss was dropping eye sword and water sword when was killed. The question is, does that kind of boss type still exist and does he drop any of swords now?
+CrimsonGamer99 What exactly could it be..? :/ I mean, i have only 50 Hours on record right now, since i didnt played it because i try to wait until its (nearly) finished :) But is it allready so good? :D
Chrizzx3 I started playing on Beta v. Enraged Koala way back in 2014. Back then, Starbound plopped you down on some random planet (not a predetermined 'Harmless' thing with pine trees and the same damn mine shaft each time) in a ship that wasn't beat to pieces. You could load up the ship with any fuel you could find and fly it anywhere else if you didn't like the current planet. The game was far from finished but what it promised was great. When they began updating it again, they removed some of the procedural infinity of the once-unique game, and added unremarkable 5 star types, each with boring, 2-word names. In the old game, you could find a bluish star titled "Alpha Beta Tri 533b" and find it with all sorts of unique planets. Now they have you start on almost the exact same planet each time following the exact same quest line. They also screwed up the monsters. Back in Enraged Koala, a monster would roar at you if you came near and charged with a deadly, unpredictable attack. Now they simply make a childish blip noise when pissed and attack with a predictable, easily blockable move. Most recently, they have added a certain monster that pops up on every type of a Lush planet. If you go to a different Lush planet, the same stupid blue and white monster will be there. Overall, Chucklefish is removing procedural generation step-by-step and making the game easier, linear, and more predictable in order to suit younger audiences who demand colorful nonsense and mind-numbingly easy gameplay. Whatever happened to surviving in an infinite, unknown, deadly universe with no quests to follow?
CrimsonGamer99 Sorry, I forgot to mention that I bought it when it was in Furious Koala, but updated very soon to Enraged Koala (and stopped playing it in this version.) I can remember all the variety of planets, the start of a new charakter or the indeed inpredictable attacks of those monsters very well, just like you described it. So yeah, i dont know wether I should give it a try again or just...wait I guess? (But for what? :P ) Thanks for youre response! :)
Chrizzx3 And thank you for not being a dick. So many people I meet try to defend Starbound to it's already dug grave. I still play, but in the back of my mind, I long for the days when the developers actually had a decent plan rather than do what part of the community wanted them to do.
+CrimsonGamer99 Oh well, if only everybody could criticise a game, movie or anything else and talk to each other without being rude or insulting.. Thats what the reality in the Internet is. However, I think I'm gonna give it a try and if I dont like it, I'll try to find a way to downgrade my version back to Enraged Koala. Or just play it along. Or I'll stick to my original plan.
I found two flamethrowers today, so maybe they are more common now. They have been nerfed though, uses ammo very fast and doesn't do a huge amount of damage.
I don't know, but a thing i know: i found a Eyesword on a underground building, with a chest. Inside the chest, i found the Eyesword. I found it on the first day of my game.
Can someone tell me if there are weapons (the swords) with the same effect. Me and some friends started a multiplayer thing some time ago and i found weapons with the same effect as the Eye sword and star cleaver. I cant recall if they actually were the real ones... d:I thought someone that has played the game longer then me (i've played about 120 hours) may know this.
+Rilic The King I had trouble doing so, I think they took out the command to spawn weapons, but you can use the spawnitem command for some of them (but not all).
How can you possible cheat in one of theese weapons with admin commands? I very often get a green cube instead. Could someone help? It would be very appreciated. The weapon I'd mostly like is the slave sword and the most damage dealing one.
I found the star cleaver, the water sword, the legend of Zelda sword, the the eye sword and the gnome gun. I used the gnome gun against the new dreadwing.
Oh trust me. They nerfed the Flamethrower. I found one in the released version, and it does 1 damage, and it drains your energy at a fast rate. But they made it so you can release little gas bubbles on right click that explode when you release it. Also the Frying Pan was removed, ENTIRELY. Meaning, it's not even in the game files.
Isn't the universe randomly generated? And if you're talking about finding it on a multiplayer server, the person who gives you the coordinates likely took the weapon.
i found time pierce and the oculus reaver in the same sewer dungeon on a planet orbiting a radioactive star just north of the starting solar system. aren't all save games different though? (randomly generated)
+Radicrash (Superboy1006) it is, but everyone's universe is the same. the coordinates are like the seeds in minecraft (from what ive heard) and you can give others coordinates so they can find cool dungeons/ weapons that youve found. theres even a "coordinates megathread" on the forums where i assume people share coordinates. keep in mind that even though everyones universe is the same (from what ive heard), they are chosen a random lush planet on a random gentle star to start at
When you said "Eye Sword", I thought you were referring to the Occulous Reaver. ...Also, slightly surprised the Steel Chair didn't make it officially onto the list, because I cannot tell you how many innocent (and not-so innocent) lives I've ended with that thing.
Wow, im really sad now. Back when Starbound was in beta I found the Eye sword in a random chest on one of the first planets I visited. But of course the data got wiped in the next update.
The pan is the least rare of all? I have never come across an ocean planet that didn't have at least one water sword (sometimes more) in a chest somewhere on the ocean floor
Personally the eye sword always underwhelmed me, and maybe it was luck, but I found it on my first planet every playthrough. I also didn't like the look, but that's quite clearly just me.
noooooooooo! the bone hammer wasn't on the list? man, that was my favorite! I could ACTUALLY break blocks with it! also I think your pet is cute. is it on ocean planets? or is it racial tpe thing?
It feels great to find one of these weapons in random chests in random planets where you're casually just exploring, these weapons are so bizarre, but cool.
_fuck off boomerang!_
Oh, it came back.
*Seinfeld theme plays*
And that's how I really lost my Boomerang License. No wait, Nevermind, we already made history off of this. (Seinfeld Theme plays 10x volume)
4:17 also know as the keemstar Gun
xD
lol
It fires lies, the most devastating projectiles in the game.
We all know the sound effect it has...
masterkiller471 I
If you hold right click with any type of flamethrower,it puts out a kind of cloud of flame and if you let of right click,it all catches fire
+GrayoftheGalaxy That's how flamethrowers work they spew out fuel and they catch it on fire.
I know
+GrayoftheGalaxy thats cool i had no idea they did that. although it doesnt put out a cloud of flame, it expels some of the gas that it ignites. Also, unless it deals more damage than the regular attack, i fail to see a use for it other than the coolness of it lol.

I just love it when he complains about a set of rules... that he made
Don,t we all do that ones?
When you have 600 hours in this game and you've never even heard of these. Besides water sword
I believe that #3 is called the Keemstar gun.
The weapon Star Cleaver appears to be a reference to Spectrobes. The weapon is similar to the weapons in it and the Cloud it shoots out appears to look like an item that you find at the start of the second Spectrobe game.
I have two flamethrowers, and there are indeed different kinds. I have an orange and purple one, and they do differ in damage
+Mason Gilchrist I have 6 flamethrowers. they vary in looks, and in pricing (cause i found them on different difficultys) Shame it doesn't list the damage.. i wish it did >.>
wow i already found like 4 of these
+Sinan Işıklar I got like 4 water blades in like 2 hours
Found the 'Gnome Gun'. Interesting little item, but the damage output makes it essentially useless in combat. Still, it's a nice piece for my growing weapons archive.
A pity so many gnomes had to die for me to find it, though.
Such a pity.
the one "slave sword" as you called it I actually got, and it had almost 300 thousand hit points of damage every time you swing it. so basically, swing it and they die.
This is the first video I've seen of you and I've already subscribed
4:43 what is the name of the soundtrack you use there?
That is "Forest Battle 2", an experimental track from the Starbound OST, I don't know if it's used in-game.
It is used as the final boss theme for the 1.0 patch.
+StarboundScout Heart of Ruin
I found the flamethrower, it seems to do damage at different ranges (which makes since) other than that, it's pretty good especially when you're at the point where you only have radiation protection.
Yo randomise, i was going around chest and i found a knife called: Splatterknife, but the thing is, it doesnt have damage at the wiki, but it damage is 3000. But the problem is, somehow the upgraded version has like 26 damage, DaFudge?
Video was hilarious, earned yourself a sub :D
Oh! We found the flamethrower in a random dungeon in our group and I use it constantly for the lower areas, it's so satisfying
Was this recorded before Chucklefish fucked up by re-adding contact damage again in the combat update?
where do you usually find uscm bunkers I have been around the galaxy where I use to find them but all I find now is avian stuff?
I'm sorry, but the Tentacle Gun is my favourite weapon. I've practically made home-made hentai out of almost all of the bosses with it!
*BOI*
The most searched race is Avian, yiu know where. Go ahead
how could i get a wurlitzer(music box) that's on your ship at the beginning???
How long have you been waiting to use the record screech joke for?
want about the bone hammer? the one that the guy is holding just before you fight the floran plant boss? i remember it being basically the water sword except the weapons bones always went to the same place and a gravity effect
+Orion Fritz (Death Its Self) You also got to mine with it because it damaged tiles... or atleast I did. XD
Is the flame thrower still in 1.0 and above?
What type of star and planet are u on for half these weapon show offs?
I have a version of the gnome gun however the gnome isnt holding a gun and the rainbow doesnt curve..?
I'm not very familiar with Starbound but what is that jukebox? It's amazing!
3:43 The flame thrower in the current version drains your energy in 3 seconds :P
On a side note: It is legendary quality but you can acquire one easily by doing quests.
The Gnome and Frying Pan weapons are the most hilarious, but I do wonder if they exist anymore as of the latest update.
+TinchoX Pretty sure I picked up a gnome gun since the most recent update, but it's all starting to blur in my mind.
Randomise User Oh no, throw it away, save yourself before it's too late!!
Nice
Where do you get the flamethrower?
You just got yourself a new sub good sir :)
dude whats the mod ur using in your inventory bar
hey dude i try and spawn in the slave sword and it wont let me how did you do it?
Are these weapons still available in 1.03?
where did you steal that water sword from floran?
Great Video!
Or are you great?
I didn't know half these items existed and I've had starbound for like a year. How many of these weapons were added in the combat update?
I remember from older versions of Starbound, that you could find an boss enemy, larger than normal enemy, that boss was dropping eye sword and water sword when was killed. The question is, does that kind of boss type still exist and does he drop any of swords now?
Please Don't Type Like This.
And *too
are these available on 1.1 patch?
WHAT ABOUT THE BONE HAMMER? HOW CAN I GET IN THE BONE ZONE WITHOUT IT
Does do some Block Damage
What kind of version is your game?
I love this game so much and have over 230 hours of gameplay. It's too bad each update is sending it further from what it could have been...
+CrimsonGamer99 What exactly could it be..? :/
I mean, i have only 50 Hours on record right now, since i didnt played it because i try to wait until its (nearly) finished :)

how do you get the Star Cleaver?
I miss the Item Launcher, it was quite funny to shoot satalites...
but I don't know if it was removed or not...
What version is this??
subbed, liked the commentary.
2:42 Hm... That's Link's Sword from "The Legend of Zelda".
I found two flamethrowers today, so maybe they are more common now. They have been nerfed though, uses ammo very fast and doesn't do a huge amount of damage.
how do u find the giant worm?
whats the song at 2:16
How do you get the jetpack???
What about that sword that has an eye that you can toss to see what's offscreen?
Nvm it wasn't in the game yet lol
how do u find the starclever
Can you make a video of best guns in starbound put the missle that has the guided rocket special
Bubblegun reminds me of Cave Story
Cave Story can remind me of all the stuff that the Internet holds if you go deep enough into those websites.
Gnome gun does more damage nowadays, but the rainbows never leave a straight line.. *sigh*
Both eyesword and starcleaver, and most of the weapons have been taken out? Is there any other way to get these? Sorry im new to the game
I don't know, but a thing i know: i found a Eyesword on a underground building, with a chest. Inside the chest, i found the Eyesword. I found it on the first day of my game.
Help someone i need help finding the music at 2:12

Haven't played this game in a couple years. Think it's time to come back.
how many of these did you ever own? i owned 5, but the pan , isaw it in a crate but didnt pick it up cuz i thought its useless
zan superger you moron pans are no matter what the best weapon in any game by far.
fool
What the, some reason birds are gone from my game, including any special attacks except bash and jump :(
Hey. I wanted to ask is the basic Boomerang Craftable?
+GNEC productions1 (GNECproductions1) No, you have to find it.
Randomise User Chuckle fish you shall paaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy
lol i found it randomly, i nearly trashed iy
Sinan Işıklar I hate you.... Not.
GNEC productions1
Bruh, I'm saving up to make the Lunarang with it, but which boomerang you can make with the standard boomerang do you think is best?
Hey,can you spawn weapons via commands in Glad Girrafe?
+Rilic The King I had trouble doing so, I think they took out the command to spawn weapons, but you can use the spawnitem command for some of them (but not all).
Randomise User Yea, I could spawn a flamethrower and a grappling hook... and diamonds, LOTS OF DIAMONDS >:D.
+Randomise User Could you make a vídeo explaining how to create a Server to play with friends on hamachi?
I would be really glad with it
I have a star cleaver called the nova smasher, it's awesome
I have the Water Sword and the Flamethrower. What do you have?
Where do you find this shit? Off the end game boss, or just randomly in worlds from minions? Or from chests?
I've gotten every single melee weapon on this list, but none of the ranged ones.
I cry everytime
5:07 knife party is dat choo?
I had a lightning thrower that got removed in the combat update. I miss it.
How can you possible cheat in one of theese weapons with admin commands? I very often get a green cube instead. Could someone help? It would be very appreciated. The weapon I'd mostly like is the slave sword and the most damage dealing one.
go to the wikipage of the item at the bottom it should have an itemid:
put the itemid in the spawn command
how do I re add wiring mode>?!?!
I found the star cleaver, the water sword, the legend of Zelda sword, the the eye sword and the gnome gun. I used the gnome gun against the new dreadwing.
The only thing I learned from this is that there are GNOME HOUSES UNDERGROUND?! Well that's something I'll have to go look for.. So cool
i foudn the flamethrower randomly in an apex complexon a planet that is located in a forest butt i don´t remember where exactly
Anybody have planet coordinates for the Snake Boomerang, Flamethrower, or Eye Sword?
Isn't the universe randomly generated? And if you're talking about finding it on a multiplayer server, the person who gives you the coordinates likely took the weapon.
i found time pierce and the oculus reaver in the same sewer dungeon on a planet orbiting a radioactive star just north of the starting solar system. aren't all save games different though? (randomly generated)
Remorsing Puppet I found those exact same swords in a sewer.
+Radicrash (Superboy1006) it is, but everyone's universe is the same. the coordinates are like the seeds in minecraft (from what ive heard) and you can give others coordinates so they can find cool dungeons/ weapons that youve found. theres even a "coordinates megathread" on the forums where i assume people share coordinates. keep in mind that even though everyones universe is the same (from what ive heard), they are chosen a random lush planet on a random gentle star to start at
why would you need these when you have A FRYINGPAN
When you said "Eye Sword", I thought you were referring to the Occulous Reaver.
...Also, slightly surprised the Steel Chair didn't make it officially onto the list, because I cannot tell you how many innocent (and not-so innocent) lives I've ended with that thing.
Scratch that, the Steel Chair got removed...
+Jacob DaGun Whyy
werewolfmaster130 Well, I suppose there's the Folding Chair now, but it's just not quite the same.
...Even though it has Uppercut...
Where can I get new weapons from combat update?
+Jakub Lubiński Some rarely from chests, some need crafting once you have found blueprints.
Randomise User Thanks.
+Randomise User flamethrower seems common to me I have found 4 so far xD
+Randomise User Can you make a video explaining where to get the weapons on this list?
Believe or not, one of the first swords i got on Starbound was the Eye Sword. I found on a cave.
I found a sword that has an eye on it.
Its secondary attack sends the eye flying and you can see what the eye sees instead
Whqt version is this?
+Ryu Muramasa Part Pleased Giraffe (previous version), part Glad Giraffe (current version).
This weapons still exist?
Wow, im really sad now. Back when Starbound was in beta I found the Eye sword in a random chest on one of the first planets I visited. But of course the data got wiped in the next update.
I had an eye sword and had NO idea how rare it was. Also, my game disappeared when my computer got a virus, and when I came back, my saves were gone.
Top 10 Weapons in Starbound:
And in the #8 spot, we have.....
SWAN!!!
The pan is the least rare of all?
I have never come across an ocean planet that didn't have at least one water sword (sometimes more) in a chest somewhere on the ocean floor
This weapons still exist?
I've found like 4 flamethrower in a matter of a few hours, they are common in floran dungeons
wow didn't know the flame thrower was so rare i just randomly found it and use it for everything.
where can i find flamethrowers?
I found mine underground in a mostly harmless planet
Ah...the times where i found the Slave Sword and the Sun Stabber.I gave the slave sword to my friend and kept sun stabber for myself :D
The water sword is rare? I get it on almost every play through. It spawns in chests all over planets.
Good luck not finding one 10 chests in a row!
I feel like you should have added the gutterknife to the list ;-;
wow, once i found a flamethrower i was like, cool! but didnt know it was THAT rare
In the new update the eye sword does 25 damage D;
+EverlastingCritsMC Oh nice!
Randomise User xD also what about the eye gun? It's rare and is so cool!
Personally the eye sword always underwhelmed me, and maybe it was luck, but I found it on my first planet every playthrough.
I also didn't like the look, but that's quite clearly just me.
ThePCguy17 It's not just you
I actually found the flamethrower! I didn't know it was the 4th rarest weapon!
is this stable or unstable version?
+Ricky firmansyah Both. I started making the video just before an update came out, which added some weapons and removed others.
why is the video slanted
noooooooooo! the bone hammer wasn't on the list? man, that was my favorite! I could ACTUALLY break blocks with it! also I think your pet is cute. is it on ocean planets? or is it racial tpe thing?
It's the pet for the plant starter character
ohhh, okai so ratial pet for Floran, okay, can a non floran character get one?
with mods yes
Umm.. You forgot a chacram( a Shuriken kind oF item)
