So crazy we finally have a live service free to play game that puts more emphasis on gameplay than there in game store. I’m super excited for these fixes and ones to come.
As a 35 year old man I'm so happy about this, I was playing a game once in a party, We were close to champion rank, and one of our teammates hopped off to play a game he Always complained about just a collect bunch of new colored items they released, I'm like bro or about to reach champion and he's like but I already have all the items in the battle pass for this game and he logged of to play a lessor game for items🤷🏽🤦🏽

I almost feel as if allot of these triple A studios have been building there games around there in game purchase models and some people just adapted that as what gaming should be. But the Finals is so much more then that and I love it. Honestly there could be two guns and two items in the game and I would still enjoy it more than most FPS games out there. I just hope it stays that way and doesn’t end up doing what call of duty, Star Wars, and fortnight have done where %80 of the game is in app purchases and the other %20 is just the same guns and maps and game modes all just reworked. The developers for The Finals have made it very apparent from the get go that they value there players time and deliver a gaming experience that cuts straight to the fun.

along the lines of customs like you were saying, i would love to be able to bring a party into the training mode, or even possibly a 1v1 mode. my buddy and i have been practicing our aim and movement and we have to do it separately against the training dummies and i wish we could have something available to train aim better
I really love how they are using the rebalances to push people into playing less used builds, keeping the focus on FUN, and not just whatever's meta. Sweats will always try to find the new meta, but I like how they are trying to make you play other builds. It's discouraging when you're trying to play a fun build and are just getting tazed/beamed down every single time.
Exactly, competitive only survives if the casual side is fun. Games shouldn’t be built to be an e sport, they should be built to be fun games and let the e sport scene build itself around the game, not the other way around.
This game is so fun and I seems so rare to have a dev team with consistent communication with the player base and always trying to create a balanced game I hope the finals sticks around for a long time
Revolver damage was heavily nerfed at ranges were bloom was an issue. At ~40m it went from 4-5 bodyshots to kill a medium to 5 headshots. Even at that range the bloom was only bad enough that you *might* miss consecutive headshots. At closer ranges bloom wasn't really an issue, but the damage drop is significant (444 headshot dps to ~320 dps at 30 meters).
I’ve never had love for a dev team like I do with this one, gave us the best battlefields and what will be the best current sandbox shooter for a while. Oh and they care about what we have to say.
I think every medium will still run defibs. Unless they put them on half cooldown after you’ve been revived or something the full team resets will just be too valuable to pass up.
Im a medium main and i think this is an interesting idea to counter the triple medium meta. I wanna see how the current nerf performs tho, it may be enough

first of all lol you compare finals to cod? even if they put a TDM in the finals its nothing like cod at all. do you even play cod? or finals? im not saying take cashout or bank it out. im saying add a mode. adding a mode doesnt take away from the other modes you know. it just gives players more options to keep things fresh. even COD has both TDM and objective based modes. it doesnt have to be one or the other@@DangleSan
That is not a buff in the slightest to the revolver lol. It's essentially useless now. It's not a hipfiring six shooter that's meant to be used in close range. It was designed as a precision slow shooting heavy hitting long range weapon. Them gutting the range by literally 34% is absolutely ridiculous. The bullet dispersion change is made redundant by making people use the revolver in more of a close range where the bullet dispersion change doesn't even affect the weapon. The closer you are the less ghost bullets you have. Terrible nerf and it was not needed. The range needs to be reverted asap. TLDR for anybody reading - The revolver is NOT buffed AT ALL, it is SIGNIFICANTLY NERFED and needs to have its range stats reverted. Edit: Just to be extra clear, this nerf is essentially taking what is normally a 3 headshot kill, up to a 4 headshots required to kill. From a 4 bodyshot kill up to a 6 body shot kill. New worst case scenario for revolver is up to 8 body shots from what was previously a realistic range for the weapon. (Testing was done on a medium target)
I think a good rework to recon could be to have it reveal gadgets and barrels instead of players. Could help spot out nukes and copious amounts of defensive util on cashouts.
I don’t understand why they nerfed the range of the revolver, the whole purpose of semi auto guns are their accuracy, range and high damage that rewards good aim, also I wish nukes and cheaters wernt a thing but oh well
I think they intended it to be a neutral change at longer ranges, as tightening the bloom when ads means you will hit more shots at longer ranges but i tlguess they are cautious about buffing the revolvers damage too much with that so they even it out by neefing the damage falloff. I think it should still feel better overall especially in the medium range fights
I agree with the nukes for sure. Doesn't belong in competitive atleast. I have 200 hours of in-game time and I've only run into 2 cheaters that I'm aware of and I have around 900 matches played

A dev has commented on the discord that Recon Senses is being reworked which is right now the most overpowered thing in the game. Im glad its being addressed.
I definitely feel since the 1.5.5 update the game feels more balanced, I'm probably one of the few that don't carry Defibs on a M build, even before this update and that was essentially because people were getting put straight back down so decreasing to less that 1 second doesn't seem right to me, it almost makes them pointless to carry. I really hope they bring more content like maps and custom modes as player count seems to be falling rapidly.
i like how the game is a casually competitive game, and i hope it stays that way, there are metas, yeah, but raising the skill ceiling and lowering the skill floor is not aways a good idea, and this game, even tho some stuff are broken, it is very fun
A good rework to recon would be to make it pulse the last known position of the enemy every couple seconds instead of fully tracking them, that seems balanced, they still get tracking dart which fully tracks for your team
I think they need to buff the damage radius or damage output for the grenade launcher by 1 point. If you aren't hitting your shot 100% or at their feet, you'll lose a 1v1 before you can get that 4th shot off or need to reload and die. It's still fun to use.
Custom matches even with a small cost, should happen IMHO.A full lobby of 12 of your clan or work mates or such would be a blast! All on Discord together, come on yeah!
i play recon medium mostly. I think that the ability to toggle off and on is too strong, maybe dramatically reduce the time scan is up and reduce the cooldown. So when its on its on, and its not worth it to turn on if you don't have all of your time. In game perma wall hacks is just too much. My brother watched me play, and the strength of being able to tell my 3 stack what team is coming, where from, how far out, low ground, or high is just wayyy too much.
would love a buff to ak, a buff to m60, and a bit to the m11. theres always a gun thats good such as fcar, mp5, and lewis gun, and would love to see that any gun is viable, or has its perks. Macro said it would be nice to have a bounty mode in solo cash and i agree
I would love to see a Mode like "Search and Destroy" from COD or "Trials" from Destiny. Were you can will with the objectrive but also with a Team Wipe. The Finals is really fun but im not that big on objective only play modes. It would be awesome to try a mode like that in the Finals
I would really like a game mode where each squad must have one of each class. The MMM/MHM meta is so stale. I enjoy using the light class with grappling hook and snipe and I am pretty solid with it. However, when I get to the final round of a ranked tournament it just isn’t viable. I’d like to see some more team support gadgets for light.
i am a competitive cs player since 15 years. i just love details about a game. and this game crashed so hard im having so much fun. the most thing i love is that they noticed that a legit wh should not be in a competitive shooter. i hoped they would just removed it :( but the fact that they hear what their community is giving is just so nice. i hoped valve would do it for cs2 :D it would be perfect. i also loved every single patch note.. everything so well adressed what i thought was "a little bit" too strong :D lets see which gamemodes we will get and what this game could be if they keep up this work :)
Fcar still has the same ttk. 6 short for light, 10 med, 14 heavy. They should slightly lower the fire rate to reduce the ttk. Maybe nerf the damage range of other weapons so the fcar continues to shine at longer ranges
The scar did not need a nerf. And if they nerf the damage or fire rate, they need to add a bigger mag! People seem to forget that the tradeoff is a small mag! If anything needs nerfed or removed/reworked, it should be that stupid cloak ability for light! i hate that kind of ability in any fps, except for how such ability works in apex with wraith!
you and your group make the game look so fun, its a shame its not actually fun at all unless you have to friends thats are willing to play whenever you are playing unless you just constantly get shit on playing with random people against people who are working in teams to win the game. game is fun overall you just NEED friends or dont even bother because you might get good but only to play with randoms and mostly loose.
as a medium main, this is great. first of all, Fcar nerf changes nothing, u still need 6 bullets to kill lights, 10 to medium, 13 to heavy, it might changes in crit (headshot conversion), but you won't realize it anyway. guardian turret losing 10% hp is okay, they nerfed mesh shield and dome shield, gadget shouldn't be that powerful anyway. defib nerf is amazing, it came from a long way and predictable, i can abuse it when fighting i went to defib my guy and BOOM it's "clutch", and so the enemies will do to me. amazing balancing. strengthen the anti cheat, it will be 10/10 game for me. I'm PC at Asian server, u know when there's a cheater infestations, i will see them in 75% of my rounds.
Their ranked system currently has nothing to do with your current rank. It uses the same SBMM that applies to you in casual matches. Basically, you can earn a diamond badge by playing against people of the same caliber over and over. It's a stupid system based solely on player retention and the almighty dollar. Apex just switched to this system as well.
I may be interpreting the 26-25 FCAR damage decreased incorrectly, but if you are fighting between a medium (250 HP), with no damage fall off, you still need to hit 10 shots to register a kill. This isn't that much of a change if so.
@@jckfrost36nah bro.. it’s still the same amount of bullets to kill from full hp 350/26 takes approx. 13.4 bullets which is 14 and 350/25 is 14 so there isn’t a difference in TTK if its full HP. Same thing for lights 150/26 is approx. 5.76 which is 6 bullets and 150/25 is 6.
They need to add a game mode where its only light classes with the dash ability & the only weapon everyone is allowed to use is the RPG. And throw in some anti grav every now n then. Solo bank it is boring, the team aspect is where a lot of the fun comes in
Thank god something is being done about recon. Firstly, i feel like its current version doesnt fit its own name and makes the sonar nade all but irrelevant. Ideally id rather it not even be a "wall hack" ability but if it had to stay within that realm, Id love to see something more along the lines of Bloodhound from Apex. Like 2 or 3 charges of a PULSE instead of just literal free wall hacks for a given amount of time.

The ONLY feedback I give the embark studios is about MnK support on console. No it’s Not a xim , not a zen. Mouse and keyboard works direct plug and play into any usb port on your console….it worked on Xbox FOR 40 DAYS of the season AND closed beta 1 &2 and open beta 1! But yea I’ve sent in about 10 of those stupid lil feedback messages and yea…I been checkin my email erryday. No email from embark studios yet….no word from embark if they gonna remove cross play BY DEFAULT (console - console lobbies ONLY) , (PC lobbues - PC lobbies ONLY) because banning MnK on console while still allowing reWASD on PC is crazy to me……
The game is to fast paced for the amount of delay they have on mines and frags, it shouldn't take me that long to throw two frags, it also takes way to long to swap back to your firearm. In a game were you can fly across the map in 5-6 secs it shouldn't take that long. The timing is awful and will need to be fixed before its ready.
I don’t play games that often but the finals for me is fun to just hop in solo and I win quite frequently. That may not be people’s take but I think it’s a fun game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
matchmaking is cap, i still get bronze players as a diamond on ps5. they should just remove recon from the game, i mean they have sonar grenades and tracking dart which seems legit. recon is just straight up wallhacks, but i know they won't remove it because then they would be admitting they made a mistake by adding it
Staycation can you please address the aim assist issue? It’s been turned off within 20m since patch 1.5. It’s getting no attention since some players don’t notice it. I been on the discord and putting bug reports in, but only a few ppl seem to notice it.
What are your thoughts on this? Switch Grapple Hook to medium and Recon to light. That way you can keep the Recon the same with less health (Also might help snipers be more viable) while adding another movement ability to medium.
I don’t think queue times will be effected since it goes off of MMR but it will be nice having more close matches against people that are in the same MMR range. Big W for embark
The devs had said in their Discord that the matchmaking is heavy geared towards fast matchmaking. I thought there was a hidden MMR but I'm guessing it's actually looser than I initially thought. Now casual is geared towards fast matching and tournaments are more geared towards skill balancing
They have to hit recon. Or buff other abilities. Like Invis shouldnt be seen by recon. But all I see in ranked is triple stack defib and recon. Almost impossible to beat

Feel like the game was better in beta. A lot of stuff from all classes was fun and were good, then they started with heavily nerfing big then small now nerfing medium. Seems like going backwards to me. Should just buff the things that sucked for diversity.
I believe that integrating a Battle Royale (BR) mode into this game, while maintaining its core objective gameplay, could be a great addition. Imagine combining all current maps into one large battleground, featuring multiple cash-out points. This could set the stage for 25 teams of three players each, competing in the game. There would be 10 strategic cash-out points, and players could use coin tokens for respawning. Just sharing an idea.

As someone who plays TF2 and love this game, i hope they fix the dagger
would love a buff to ak, a buff to m60, and a bit to the m11. theres always a gun thats good such as fcar, mp5, and lewis gun, and would love to see that any gun is viable, or has its perks. Macro said it would be nice to have a bounty mode in solo cash and i agree
I would love to see a Mode like "Search and Destroy" from COD or "Trials" from Destiny.

The Finals is really fun but im not that big on objective only play modes.

I would really like a game mode where each squad must have one of each class. The MMM/MHM meta is so stale.
I enjoy using the light class with grappling hook and snipe and I am pretty solid with it. However, when I get to the final round of a ranked tournament it just isn’t viable. I’d like to see some more team support gadgets for light.

i am a competitive cs player since 15 years. i just love details about a game. and this game crashed so hard im having so much fun. the most thing i love is that they noticed that a legit wh should not be in a competitive shooter. i hoped they would just removed it :( but the fact that they hear what their community is giving is just so nice. i hoped valve would do it for cs2 :D it would be perfect. i also loved every single patch note.. everything so well adressed what i thought was "a little bit" too strong :D lets see which gamemodes we will get and what this game could be if they keep up this work :)
Fcar still has the same ttk. 6 short for light, 10 med, 14 heavy.
They should slightly lower the fire rate to reduce the ttk. Maybe nerf the damage range of other weapons so the fcar continues to shine at longer ranges

The scar did not need a nerf. And if they nerf the damage or fire rate, they need to add a bigger mag! People seem to forget that the tradeoff is a small mag! If anything needs nerfed or removed/reworked, it should be that stupid cloak ability for light! i hate that kind of ability in any fps, except for how such ability works in apex with wraith!

you and your group make the game look so fun, its a shame its not actually fun at all unless you have to friends thats are willing to play whenever you are playing unless you just constantly get shit on playing with random people against people who are working in teams to win the game. game is fun overall you just NEED friends or dont even bother because you might get good but only to play with randoms and mostly loose.

first of all, Fcar nerf changes nothing, u still need 6 bullets to kill lights, 10 to medium, 13 to heavy, it might changes in crit (headshot conversion), but you won't realize it anyway.
guardian turret losing 10% hp is okay, they nerfed mesh shield and dome shield, gadget shouldn't be that powerful anyway.
defib nerf is amazing, it came from a long way and predictable, i can abuse it when fighting i went to defib my guy and BOOM it's "clutch", and so the enemies will do to me.

strengthen the anti cheat, it will be 10/10 game for me. I'm PC at Asian server, u know when there's a cheater infestations, i will see them in 75% of my rounds.
Their ranked system currently has nothing to do with your current rank. It uses the same SBMM that applies to you in casual matches. Basically, you can earn a diamond badge by playing against people of the same caliber over and over. It's a stupid system based solely on player retention and the almighty dollar. Apex just switched to this system as well.
I may be interpreting the 26-25 FCAR damage decreased incorrectly, but if you are fighting between a medium (250 HP), with no damage fall off, you still need to hit 10 shots to register a kill. This isn't that much of a change if so.
1 extra bullet needed to kill lights and heavies tho. I'm a medium main and the scope alone makes the fcar pretty good so i dont mind the nerf.

350/26 takes approx. 13.4 bullets which is 14 and 350/25 is 14 so there isn’t a difference in TTK if its full HP. Same thing for lights 150/26 is approx. 5.76 which is 6 bullets and 150/25 is 6.

They need to add a game mode where its only light classes with the dash ability & the only weapon everyone is allowed to use is the RPG. And throw in some anti grav every now n then. Solo bank it is boring, the team aspect is where a lot of the fun comes in
Thank god something is being done about recon. Firstly, i feel like its current version doesnt fit its own name and makes the sonar nade all but irrelevant. Ideally id rather it not even be a "wall hack" ability but if it had to stay within that realm, Id love to see something more along the lines of Bloodhound from Apex. Like 2 or 3 charges of a PULSE instead of just literal free wall hacks for a given amount of time.

The ONLY feedback I give the embark studios is about MnK support on console. No it’s Not a xim , not a zen. Mouse and keyboard works direct plug and play into any usb port on your console….it worked on Xbox FOR 40 DAYS of the season AND closed beta 1 &2 and open beta 1! But yea I’ve sent in about 10 of those stupid lil feedback messages and yea…I been checkin my email erryday. No email from embark studios yet….no word from embark if they gonna remove cross play BY DEFAULT (console - console lobbies ONLY) , (PC lobbues - PC lobbies ONLY) because banning MnK on console while still allowing reWASD on PC is crazy to me……

The game is to fast paced for the amount of delay they have on mines and frags, it shouldn't take me that long to throw two frags, it also takes way to long to swap back to your firearm. In a game were you can fly across the map in 5-6 secs it shouldn't take that long. The timing is awful and will need to be fixed before its ready.

matchmaking is cap, i still get bronze players as a diamond on ps5. they should just remove recon from the game, i mean they have sonar grenades and tracking dart which seems legit. recon is just straight up wallhacks, but i know they won't remove it because then they would be admitting they made a mistake by adding it

Switch Grapple Hook to medium and Recon to light. That way you can keep the Recon the same with less health (Also might help snipers be more viable) while adding another movement ability to medium.

The devs had said in their Discord that the matchmaking is heavy geared towards fast matchmaking. I thought there was a hidden MMR but I'm guessing it's actually looser than I initially thought. Now casual is geared towards fast matching and tournaments are more geared towards skill balancing
They have to hit recon. Or buff other abilities. Like Invis shouldnt be seen by recon. But all I see in ranked is triple stack defib and recon. Almost impossible to beat

@@gustavosantiago6679 recon is a counter to the game itself. I shouldn’t be able to see teams fighting or where they spawn, all the way across the map. Give It a much smaller radius. And invis, in ranked, is not the go to. It’s easily seen and heard

Feel like the game was better in beta. A lot of stuff from all classes was fun and were good, then they started with heavily nerfing big then small now nerfing medium. Seems like going backwards to me. Should just buff the things that sucked for diversity.

I believe that integrating a Battle Royale (BR) mode into this game, while maintaining its core objective gameplay, could be a great addition. Imagine combining all current maps into one large battleground, featuring multiple cash-out points. This could set the stage for 25 teams of three players each, competing in the game. There would be 10 strategic cash-out points, and players could use coin tokens for respawning. Just sharing an idea.
