Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think "Tharkad - Checkmate" also had an enemy count increas. On recruit mode, the force that fights against peter on the other end of the capitol looks to be 2 awesomes and 2 longbows, and on higher difficulties it looks like 4 awesomes and 4 longbows. I haven't played that level enough to confirm this however, it could be that on recruit peters force simply defeats a lot of them quickly, but every time I've got to that section before I always count one lance on recruit and two lances on regular. I can't think of any other level where enemy amount changed, which makes me wonder why the developer only used that feature for 1 level (Mabye 2).
