I’m a western Canadian, I had a 1986 Superliner with a 500hp V8 in it, best truck I ever owned, sold it a few years ago, as I’m 80 years old and retired, sorry I sold it, regretted it ever since, all I got is photos of it to enjoy.
My dream truck color, e9 and everything. Beautiful truck! Tom is a good guy my favorite truck at mats and got to sit in it at macungie which is a moment I’ll never forget. Crazy how well The door shuts lol
The Bulldog still reminds me of Brockway trucks. Edit one , so the Bulldog reminds me of the Husky which was Brockway . A memory from 1960 or 1961 my dad took me to get my first haircut where I was set on a board across the barber chair arms. Joe's Barber Shop Cortland New York right across the street from one of the structure manufacturers building for Brockway new truck sitting here and there around the building. I was very intrigued with it I was like 3 years old at the time I guess but I always was a big fan of Brockway from then on. And I know Mack took them over, but still it's Brockway in my memories. Never been a truck driver though. Thanks for this showing on this commemorative Mack truck some beautiful machine in original condition for sure.
I come from a long line of Mack truck owners being 4th generation trucker, i myself always up until the mid 90's owned macks and Autocars, my first was a used LWTS western and had a mix of RL700's and R600ST and FL600 western cabovers and the last two were one used and one new Super dog's except the FL600's they were all purebred the FL600's had 8V92TTA Detroits and 13spds.
Ich habe in Deutschland genau so einen Superliner bei einem Getränkehändler gefahren .War auch von 1986. Der Motor war ein 6Zylinder Mackmotor.Hat sehr grossen Spaß gemacht.Grüsse aus Deutschland
I had a model of a DM-700 Mack with Canadian Spread axles and V-8 Mack engine. I think it's still out in my garage. I believe it was an Ertl brand model 1/25 th scale.
It was originally built as a Mack Canada show truck displayed first in Toronto. Gribble transport in PA use to do the truck shows for Mack US Corporate and bought it from Mack Canada after the show. The owner Tom Gribble drove it for years before parking it and using it for shows in the 90s

Good trucks the gmc general and Ford 9000 similar in body styles cat mack or Detroit power
