I think having the access to the kitchen from under the stairs was a mistake. Coming down the stairs and walk right into the kitchen would increase flow. Imagine all the counter/storage space that you could have under the stairs and make the kitchen a U shape!

unlike the stunning beam upstairs, i would have painted the beams downstairs and the stairs in white

Lovely little house , but no parking and painting the beams and staircase white would have looked nicer . I like the kitchen and upstairs shower room was a good idea 👍🏻👍🏻

The kitchen could be better, i would change the baluster of of the stairs into something modern and lighter in colour, the dark stairs is an eyesore and so in your face, i would paint the beam white. Love the wood parquet restoration.

I agree painting the stairs white would have improved it and not cost a lot. Looks good though.

I'm surprised he didn't realise how much the place would be worth after the changes he made.
I don't necessarily disagree with what other people who have commented have said about the wood, but I would add that because of where it is and the type of house it is, painting the wood downstairs may have taken away from the feel of what the house is.

Should've painted all the brown woods to grey , white or slate grey.
