Ive been a maker for years, stay away from Zebra wire, it just sucks, ok to practice with but for detailed wirework it just chips away the color.

What’s the best economical choice for looped wraps on a pendant? That won’t wear off in a few months

It depends on the color you are using for the project, but we have some great economical options to choose from! We have many color options of copper wire that are great for adding color, but could begin to rub off over time if the wrap is going to be contacting the skin constantly while wearing. For silver colored wire, you could use sterling silver or a more economical option like stainless steel. You can find all of our wire options here: www.firemountaingems.com/jewelry-supplies/wire-wrapping-wire/?pageType=CLP
If you have any specific colors or materials you are looking for, please let us know. We would love to help!

What is good for half round half flat?

Hello! Half-round wire is a favorite for creating ring shanks and wire-wrapping since there is a flat edge that will lie flat against skin, square wire frames, cabochons, etc. It works well for “hugging” things such as another wrap, piece of wire or object.
