    I used this guide and it helped me in a set with a friend, I ended up winning with a Forward Smash, it’s funny because I whipped him hard with the help of your Mario guide.... he ended up sd-ing because he couldn’t handle the power of your Mario guide! Thanks :)

    idk if this combo is known, but it's insane!
    at around 30% near the ledge, back air, run into them, grab into up throw or down throw (down throw better imo), up air, up air, foward air spike into oblivion.

  • @PotatoTheProgrammer
    @PotatoTheProgrammer Месяц назад +1

    At 37% to 46% on Battlefield:
    Up tilt, short hop up air, double jump up air, fastfall onto the top platform (optional until around 44%), full hop up air, double jump up air, up b
    This is a true combo that kills
    Percentage values are based on Mario, you may have to adjust when fighting lighter or heavier opponents
    In training make sure to turn on stale moves!!!!!!!! (why isnt it enabled by default)

    • @PotatoTheProgrammer
      @PotatoTheProgrammer Месяц назад

      Also it gets quite inconsistent for me around 45%. Note: I am absolutely not a top player or anything, I struggle with fighting level 8 CPUs and I have never been in a tournament

      @@Pro9Brisk I usually use this in online play since I actually haven't done a non online play Smash but this is a good combo when it's one big platform and three smaller ones on top hit them with the cape three times drop down then hit them with the up special if you need space so you can use the fireball ability you can use Mario's down special F.L.U.D and if you jump then he initiate the down special you won't fall through the platform

    Out of curiosity do you have any tips or any tricks at all when it comes to finding combos at the heat of the moment or finding combos like with what you did to the incineroar on the platform? In short just being able to actually find and see the combos as Mario

    • @Pro9Brisk
      @Pro9Brisk  2 года назад +3

      I think something important to know is to know when a combo is true and when it’s not true.
      Sometimes it’s just worth it to do combos that are guaranteed then wait to see what your opponent will do.
      - EX: As Mario, I up air bridge a Joker player to the top of the screen. I have multiple options here. I can up b the joker and get more garuentred %. OR, I can NOT Up B, wait for joker to an option, then keep that in mind for later.
      Let’s say this Joker player air dodges over and over again to escape my combos. I can use this to my advantage to punish him even harder.
      - Let’s say As Mario, I do Up air, Nair, Up air up air, Forward air. It may not be guaranteed to kill if my opponent isn’t far enough to the corner of the stage. Instead of going for a forward air that might not kill, I can wait for his air Dodge and try to charge a forward smash to punish the air dodge.
      It’s also important to understand your opponents character and where they feel comfortable. Let’s say as Mario, I’m fighting Fox. Fox usually struggles offstage. I can do a up air combo that brings Fox to the top of the screen, but it may not kill. Since Fox’s fall speed is very fast, he won’t generally struggle too much to land.
      - if you get him off stage to a corner, this won’t kill him, BUT I’ll be in a much better position to edge guard him, which Fox struggle led against. Even if I don’t kill Fox offstage, I can still pressure him offstage and rack up a lot of Damage between edge guarding and ledge trapping
      It’s also important to experiment in your friendly matches. Try putting yourself in situations that you normally wouldn’t do in a serious or tournament match. Actively learning white works and what doesn’t work is key. The more you actively pay attention when you play the game, The easier it’ll come overtime to know what will work and not work as Mario, or any other character!
      I hope this helps in answering your question!

    How do you buffer short hop fair after you dthrow to double up air? I always go forward and can't spike them at lower percents because of it

    • @Pro9Brisk
      @Pro9Brisk  3 месяца назад

      I don't think you can buffer a fair with the C-Stick while jumping and not move forward, its a dumb mechanic in Ultimate. Either try doing fair with attack and your left stick, or you can try to not buffer the fair with c stick, but that'll make the combo work less consistently at lower percents

      There are tons of videos out there that go into more detail than I can in a comment, BUT TLDR...
      If you condition your opponent into shielding, you'll be more likely to land a grab. Tomahawk grabs are a nice mixup to get grabs. You short hop in place, making it look like you're gonna attack someone's shield, but you fastfall and grab them instead. First, you need to make your opponent shield. There's so many layers to conditioning in Smash. so I suggest looking up some guides on conditioning in Smash. You'll find some great videos. Hope that helps :)

      The timing can be tight in a lot of these and you need awareness to decide when to bridge or ladder or when to end up with double jump upper to up b or double jump down air, I'm a pokemon trainer main btw.
