Little trivia....the female singer Hillary Scott is the daughter of country singer Linda Davis who is best known for her 90s duet with Reba McIntyre "Does He Love You?". She (Hillary) was also rejected by American Idol.....twice!

But recently they filed a lawsuit against a performer that has used 'Lady A' for 20 years claiming that infringes on their trademark - one they just started using.
Oh, and ironically...the Lady A they've sued is black 😂😂😂😂. So how concerned with social justice are they really?

Not everything before the Civil War was racist for crying out loud. It's also a bit like saying a Mexican family shouldn't name their child Cortes since it hearkens back to a time when Spain destroyed the Aztec empire. Just my opinion.

I'm surprised Colbert would have a group on his show named after a period before the Civil War that is clearly a reference to those "idealic" times when slavery was in full force.

@@australien6611 In American English antebellum specifically means before the Civil War. Typically the concept of an antebellum lady usually refers to the wife of a rich slave owner. By choosing this as their band name, they're glorifying a period in American history in which White people owned Black people. Hence, racist name. If you knew a little bit more about history, this would be obvious. I'm not the first one to make this accusation by the way.
