I guess it was 40 years ago now so some of them are bound to have passed away. I remember collecting these stickers as a child so remember a lot of those names. Apart from Italian legend Paolo Rossi, England and Liverpool goalkeeper Ray Clemence joined this list in November 2020. His late teammate Ray Wilkins scored a truly spectacular individual goal against Belgium during this tournament that is well worth watching. It was probably the highlight of his international career as he otherwise never really showed his true potential in an England shirt. Also I was confused as there is another Belgian player called Francois (Franky) Van der Elst who is a few years younger and still alive. The one who passed away and is mentioned here is the one West Ham United fans may remember as he played for them in the early 1980s.

A disproportionate number of car accidents compared to the general population?
