Someone really should hire you to do commercials. You could sell me a rock. You are so positive that it radiates off the screen! Excellent chicken waterer!
Love the format of the new 2 Minute Tuesday. Informative, snappy and awesome as ever. Thank you for sharing, fortuitous timing as I was just looking at these! All the best from the sunny Scottish Highlands.
Nice job! We just installed the same nipples in our chicken waterer! We drilled and tapped the hole, which really helped with threading the nipples. Also, those types of nipples don't work when mounted horizontally, at least ours didn't (we learned that the hard way). Thanks for posting such useful information, we really enjoy your channel!!
Great video I've been using those nipples in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket in my chicken coop for 10 years pretty handy to be able to keep a lid on top, keeps it clean a lot longer then open trough. I know a lot of chicken barns use them in the bottom of a PVC pipe the runs the length of their Barn
I’m super excited about this video! The chickens were getting in two weeks are trained to a nipple waterer and we were trying to figure out how we were going to make one. This is much easier than what we were going to do!
Something to note: I use something similar for my birds and found that even with the pipe threads taped it leaked like a sieve. I followed all the directions but the only solution I have found that fixes it permanently is to also add a rubber washer and a nut. The nut was difficult to find, just to give a heads up to anyone that may find this useful.
Great tip, and a wonderful DIY idea... thank you! I'll share this with my son, who also raises chickens! 🐔🐓He already recieved some good instruction and help from the videos that you made about installing your wood stove!! 👍🏻👍🏻☺
Add a hole on top of the lid, large enough for a cork to fit, use a funnel to fill your buckets from the tops. I don't need to go in the pen. Been using this method for about and year now and love it. We have only 11 Chickens and fill every 3 to 4 days depending on the weather.
We don't have a well and are on city water so we get water from the store for are self and the chickens. There water is in 2 gallon contenders at $.30 a gallon × 3 contenders 2 times a week. We don't like the chlorinated water to drink. So we fill there waterer very 3 to 4 days, depending on the weather. We add 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to each contender.
Here we go: Monday’s Moment; Two Minute Tuesday; Three Minute Thursday; Five Minute Friday; Six Minute Saturday. NOW what do we do for Wednesday, ah a day for Jason to rest & recharge!

adding a funnel would not work for us. We move this chicken tractor daily and a hose would not reach. Thanks for the tip!
