My channel is always going to reflect the stage of life I'm in, and right now I'm just not buying a lot! And I love it! Glad to hear that's resonating with others, too.
Thanks to your help, I just returned home from a family vacation to Disney World. I only bought 3 things. A sweatshirt because I was cold, a blanket for our home, and the 100th Loungefly, because I really wanted it and it was on sale+ my AP Discount! Big improvement from a lot of my trips. Also I'm trying to clean closets and remove things from my house that are not needed or used.
Such a better way to live both for our sanity and our pocketbooks!

Just a thought, if you are concerned about losing income with doing only 1 video a week, maybe you can consider doing one vlog style video and then one content focused video a week. The vlog style could be a less edited, day(s) in your life type of video that (hopefully) wouldn’t take up too much time or require too much prep but would still allow you to post twice a week. I, personally, would love to see what you get up to on a regular basis. No matter what, I will look forward to your videos whenever they come out! Happy New Year, Jen!

I really enjoy your videos. Appreciate the transparency on this topic. I’ll ask what I’m sure other folk might be thinking, how much does Patreon bring in on top of this? It seems to be the modern way and almost live changing for many creators.
My word of the year for 2024 is “simplify” so we are on the same page Jen! My goal is to feel lighter by the end of this year (both figuratively and literally!). One of the things that I love about you is that I know if you’re sharing things with us, you fully believe in the product. The older I get, the less I need excess stuff. But what I do need are quality products (and experineces) that make my life better. I would never have tried Cariuma sneakers or Balega socks without your input. Both have (and I know this sounds dramatic-lol) changed my life. Thanks so much for being informative, but also fun to watch. Can’t wait to see where 2024 takes you!!

First of all, love your videos! You’re one of my favorite RUclipsrs and I don’t watch short content and I really appreciate that you still put the same amount of energy in your videos. Because I can also see a change where people tend to upload less, because they’re making more on TikTok etc. I’m from Europe and I’m going to Walt Disney world this year for the first time and I am sure that I will use your videos to prepare, because I really trust your reviews ! So thank you so much for this.
I had one question, maybe I’m mistaken but, I somehow (mis)remember that you said in the past that you did Patreon so that you never have to do sponsored content. If that’s true, could you let me know what has changed if you feel comfortable about it ?

You mentioned your virtual assistant. I am a busy doctor, mom, wife and have considered hiring either an in person or virtual assistant. I have hesitated because I just don't know how that would work. I would think that it would take longer for me to explain to the assistant what to do than just doing it myself, but yet I constantly find myself stretched too thin. I don't know if it would be "good content" for you to talk about this on a video here or on patreon, but I would find it very helpful!! Thanks.
My VA works particularly in social media and for content creators, but I got fantastic advice when I was considering it: write down or screen shot everything you do in a day or a week that you feel someone else might be able to tackle. That way, if you do decide to hire, you have a working list of actual tasks and in the case of screen recording actual tutorials on how to do those things. I get the feeling of it being just one more thing to manage, I really do, and it would have to be the right person!

If you don't post on the other channel for 90 days YT will stop paying ad revenue. Not sure you are aware of that.

Actually looks like as long as I still meet the threshold they will keep paying. Although they reserve the right to demonitize the channel. Eventually I’m sure I won’t meet the watch hour requirement anymore but that shouldnt happen for awhile. Thanks for caring!

But then my kids had gone back to school fall 2021 and some of my sons friends found me on Instagram and used it as a bullying incentive. So Instagram is now private - and I blocked as many kids as I Could. I want to be a RUclips creator but am thinking I need to wait another 5 years until my youngest graduates highschool . Is it possible for me to post - leave them completely out of the videos - and pray to not be found by kids. 🤔 I do have a blog that I am focused on trying to grow!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
