    Ok, stupid question, but what's the advantages vs disadvantages of straight axles and indipendant suspension??

      Mainly suspension travel and strength is going to be much higher in a solid axle truck. It depends what your end goal is, if you're mostly doing logging roads and street, IFS is a better option. There is a lot of crazy new technology making IFS a competitor in rock crawling, but the general consensus is if you're going to build a wheeling rig, it has a solid front axle.

    What kind of rear springs do you have on your pickup?

      63" leaf springs from an old dodge 1500 if I remember correctly. Any 63s would suffice.
