preformed this to my 2300H prolly 38 years ago maybe more, we worked with the local fire dept. back then, the ic-2300H was my fire radio, worked great, now i'm putting it back in my truck to get back into the ham radio end of it, thanks for the video, I forgot how I did this mod years ago,
I just purchased this radio (still waiting for delivery). Very interesting video. With what are you pushing on the tiny black part? Are you using a soldering iron to heat it up a bit as you push on it? Appreciate it!

That's right, I'm just using the soldering iron tip to heat up the entire part and gently push the part away
I think IC-2200 has been discontinued for a while, current model is IC 2300
