    I feel the longer the boilie is in the water, the better it gets. I often pre soak my boilies in lake water for hours before fishing to make them look like they have been in the lake for ages. Soft waterlogged baits are more digestible thus more attractive to carp, in my humble opinion.

    • @shiremotorsport1351
      @shiremotorsport1351 Год назад

      This is a great tactic but best used when you use lake water to soak them in

    Love the videos, you should try having your pod slightly further back and fishing slacker lines with flying back leads and or back leads. In a swim that small, it really helps to keep your line as hidden as possible.

    I would say when your learning people can learn with you. Slowly is good. When things are done fast and look easy, I find it hard to follow. As I learn very slowly. Watching people tie rigs their way at whatever stage you are at.I really enjoy too watch. . Fishing is great for A D H D. When you are out in the fresh air and on your own or with like minded people. I have Bipolar, Autism, and stress and anxiety, fishing is great for me. as I get very nervous and struggle socially. Camping out is great fun.

    Ok ......I just discovered your channel...its totally awsome. Just need you start catching fish...I've fished all my life..hopefully these tips will help you..size 10 hook with hair long enough to take an 18 mm boilie. Put 1 artificial glow in the dark yellow sweetcorn and 1 artificial sinking pellet on the hair. Make a pva bag of fish meal pellet. Using a long baiting needle push the needle through the bag then hook it on the end of your rig and pull it right through so your hook and artificial bait are sitting against the outside end of the bag. You will need to have a snap swivel link at the end of your main line so you can quickly snap connect your rig to it. Plus have a decent piece of rubber tubing to stop the rig coming off the snap link. Using a UV torch shine the torch on the glow in the dark sweetcorn for 20 seconds. Now cast it out. Give it 20 minutes if no fish reel in and repeat process. At night use same system but with a boilee rig. Also fish patrol all of the lake ....if you catch a fish . Dont let the swim rest..hammer the hell out of it cos they wont stay there ...hope this helps...I've probably given away top secrets that everyone that reads this will see but what the hell. You go for it girl...try it you got nothing to lose.

    Just an observation might help might not, works for me. When fishing really short range, try not having 3/4 of your rods over hanging the water, try setting them up with just the tips over. Also fish slack lines not pin straight lines. Might help with your approach it might not. Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing how this series plays out.

      @@chrisbeech9410 not necessarily but I get your point. Maybe back leading would help, like I said previously it’s more from experience I’ve had fishing smaller areas of lakes, I’d understand if she was really fishing up to snags but there’s still enough room to fish slacker lines.

Keep the videos up I see your progress each video is getting better 👌🏻

    Great blog. Small lakes are notoriously difficult. I would slacken your lines and avoid heavily boasting your hook baits. You want them to look like they have been in the water for a while and are safe to eat. Use a pole or a boat if possible and you will have really good presentation.

    One thing I would say to do to select the bigger fish is use bigger hook baits and hooks and also a lot bigger lead, like 4/4.5 Oz the bigger fish can easily shake off a 2 Oz lead and get away with it. My hook to land ratio went up loads just from upping from a 2oz to a 4oz lead. Good look tight lines

    Little tip for you noticed when you cast out you weren’t protecting the hook or your bait when that rig hits the bottom you could end up with a tangled rig or chod masking your hook bait.
    Get yourself some Korda pva funnel web and some rig foam cut two peace’s of dissolving rig foam in half put the first to cut peace’s in push it down gently with the plunger put in 4 boilies two hole and two Brocken up then put in the last two cut up pieces of dissolving foam tie the pva off leave a long tag end tie it off again cut flush to the last not then Nick your hook through the long tag end rap the tag end around the hook then Nick onto the hook point. If it where a hair rig Nick the hook through the long tag end wrap it around the hook shank and the hair to trap it in place to stop tangles and then Nick the hook point through the pva mesh again.
    This insures your rig will never tangle once the lead hits the deck your rig will sit up in the water the pva will melt your rig will gently fall onto the lake bed and the dissolving foam will rise to the surface and you can use this as a target to put out a few free offerings good luck 🤞

    The algae will be the main reason why the fish are not biting. the algae prevents water absorbtion into the lake and the fish slow down through a lack of oxygen. that needs addressing before it gets too bag. bird life often suffer as a result too especially ducks. is there a lack of bird life?

    The more washed out the boilie the better it is in my experience. Match the hatch is the colour to mimic the natural hatching bug colours, not the flavour.

    • @jobloggs8021
      @jobloggs8021 Год назад

      "Match the hatch" is a term also used by carp anglers to describe a hook bait that matches your free offerings, weather it be flavour, colour, size or a combo of all three, So fisherwoman did use the term in the correct context!
      It's a term borrowed from fly fisherman.

  • @daveeagling9372

    No need to change rig after every fish however hook point sharpness is paramount. Check the point by gently pulling it along your thumbnail, if it grips it’s sharp but if it skates along your nail bin it or sharpen it.
