I used to be such a boring cook not knowing how to make many Hispanic Dishes, but now that I have your videos to watch and learn from, my Family is happier and healthier. Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful talent and love of cooking.

You are so awesome. I have cooked Puerto Rican food for my husband and family, my husband is Puerto Rican and I am Native American. I absolutely love this food and so do our five children, plus extended family. My mother in law gave me a cookbook that I used for 33 years, but was still missing that authentic flavor. When we went to Puerto Rico I would flavor the food to taste what I was missing in my cooking. Thanks to you I am learning the secret ingredients that I have been missing. My husband loved my cooking before, now he feels like we have stepped into Puerto Rico. Thank you for your time in sharing your recipes.

Hahaha!! I can relate with the getting kicked out the kitchen. "Bete paya que no caigan pelos!!" That was what my mom would say when she was doing cooking for special occasions for example when making pasteles. I had long hair and she'd kick me out so no hair would fall into the food. I'd get to sit in n watch otherwise.

Man I was doing everything wrong😟 So much flavor the way you do it. I just boiled the gizzards with some seasoning, boil the green bananas and after it cooks chop everything up mix it in a bowl with shopped onions, peppers, olives I even add some corn and drizzle some olive oil and vinegar but I think the way you do it is going to add more flavor to the gizzards cause you cooked the meat first with the onions and all. Next time I'll try your way! 👌

Some people like my self add vinagre and add bay leaves just for flavor then remove before putting in tray or presentation plate . But i see you add tumeric I’ve never tried it that way did you decide to replace the bay leaves for turmeric in your opinion does that make the flavor better . I just wanna learn how to make it in different ways

Y ahora veo como puedo hacerle, cortandole esa parte que es como "suela o gomita" y dejando solo la carnita. Me volvio el deseo de intentar nuevamente. Muchas gracias!

Two questions.. Can I use regular chicken instead of gizzards? Also, I know you said green bananas, but can you use plantains too? Do they both work? Sometimes you can find green or black plantains but not green bananas.

Hola!

    Hello,
If I want to make a party size pan sheet to feed a thanksgiving party, how much chicken gizzards will you think I need?
Ps. I like the idea in adding milk to the water of the banana
