Once again Risa brings us the most complete and honest review of the makeup products available on the market for the YT community and her social media. Definitely everything she adds to us on YT is the best reviewed. Thank you Risa for respecting us so much and also bringing your experience, kindness and honesty to all your followers. You never cease to amaze me…

What a thorough review Risa! I could see the difference. The NARS was much more smoothing over your texture. I'm pretty confident it would work better for me. Wonderful video! Thanks for this! Beautiful!🥰

I have normal to dry skin, but I think I’m going to try the Nars. I used to use the Nars sheer glow and loved it. I don’t like an overly glowey foundation, especially for my mature skin. Great review Risa. Thanks.

Damn……Nars used to be cruelty free. And I loved so many of their products. If they ever decide to revert back I will be first in line with my list 👍
I enjoy the new CT foundation - it’s quite lovely but it’s not the holy grail I was hoping it would be 😔
I am 57 with normal to dry skin and my skin is in excellent shape. I prefer a dewy radiant foundation and this on my skin isn’t quite as radiant as I was hoping for. Don’t get me wrong - I’m using it and enjoying it. My hopes were a tad higher:)
I think both look gorgeous on you but if I had to choose I would say the Nars looks a wee bit nicer/smoother.
    Happy weekend Risa 💕
    Xo

Out of all the beauty RUclipsrs your my favorite! I’ve watched most of your videos and I’ve learned so much!! Long story short I’m 39 almost 40. Close to 6-7 years ago you wouldn’t catch me without makeup (I only wore drug store brands) Close to 5 years ago I stopped wearing makeup completely, started tanning and learned to except myself natural (was very hard and took a couple years but because I wanted to feel comfortable without makeup I was able to accomplish it) About 6 months ago I wanted to step back into beauty/makeup and boy was I in for it 😂 Makeup/beauty products are completely different from what I remember. Mind you I wasn’t into the RUclips makeup world. Until I found you/you’re channel I felt defeated when it came to foundation and not looking like a clown when I attempted to apply it. I bought Mac, Ik Makiage, Too faced, Charlotte Tillberry (sample) Lancôme (sample) and some drug store. I was literally done lol Then I came across your video on Estée Lauder (mind you I have very oily skin) I’ve tried many primers and setting sprays that only made my oil worse) and in that video you spoke about Mac-studio fix primer so I decided to give it one more go. GIRL you SAVED me!!!! I absolutely love them both and they work so well with my skin!! I’m still learning how to apply and not look caky, it’s still a learning process because of how much my skin has changed over the years. I’m not used to large pores or texture, both bother me quite a bit. So thank you Risa for all you do 💜 You literally saved me 💜

I had already been using the new Nars foundation when I saw this video. I have normal to dry and sensitive skin. So far, I am liking the Nars. I think the CT though looks like it is a bit more radiant which I usually prefer. I will probably end up trying that one as well. I really enjoyed your comparison of the two. Great video!

Thank you for reviewing these foundations!! I am 40 and I also have oily skin. I thought the Nars might actually work for me for a more natural look, but it did not. I used a primer and even powdered it heavily, but my skin ate through that product like acid. I also found the coverage to be way too minimal and I could see all my redness and sun damage coming through big time. I wanted to love the Nars, but I gave it 2 attempts in 2 different shades and it failed. I thought maybe I had picked the wrong colour, but at the end of both days, my skin looked the same: blotchy and tired 😭
I love Nars, and I am very aware of my oily skin, but I wanted to give it an honest try. I am yet to find a Nars foundation that works for me. I can’t blame the product for not performing on my skin type, but just wanted to share with my oily friends on here 💗

Risa, it's also important to note that CT doesn't make a good color range, so that is a consideration for some, too. I can't wear the CT because there is not a color that is pale or cool enough. CT doesn't make a color for me, so it would be an easy choice for me. I think the NARS is better on you, too.

I really want to try the NARS foundation, but I still think that I will probably try to get a sample of it to try before buying it if I can. I am very intrigued by the NARS foundation, but I’ve never bought a foundation that cost almost $50, so I’d want to make sure that I was really wowed by it before investing! @@Ionabrodie69 the initial finish often looks great! I personally have struggled with CT undertones (I’m in the 14-15 range). But I know lots of people struggle with Nars undertones and I do well with them! I tried both as well. (I'm normal/dry & "mature". Lol) I tried the CT first. That was the one I was initially interested in. On that first application, I thought it was pretty. I did however need to tweak the shade. Really expected I'd be buying it.
So then tried the Nars. First application was nice, but I noticed I needed to build it up a bit on my cheeks. After that tho I really liked it.
Added a third option into the mix tho. Decided to try the new, reformulated Dior forever glow. I instantly fell in love 💕. That was my favorite with the Nars coming in second.

Good to know the CT would likely get too oily on me. I wish I could figure out color with Nars foundations. I usually get a cool light to medium shade, ie fresco in EL DW, but the cool shades are so peachy in Nars. Cool does not equal peach for a lot of people. I thought one of the neutrals was almost better, but still think not great. I can wear the creme brulee concealer shade, but ugg the foundation shades.

As a person with oily skin, I mix a pump of the CT Beautiful Skin with a pump of airbrush flawless foundation and it creates the most amazing combo that lasts yet has a healthy natural finish. No NARS base product/foundation has ever worked on me so will give it a miss because from experience, it will look heavy, oxidise to dark orange and cause congestion.

@@MyCleverHandle I don’t think they make foundations for mature skin but some work better than others. I have normal to oily skin which seems to be rare in the mature skin. The ones that work for me at the moment is the new Chanel, Lisa Eldridge and Clinique’s Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation. I tried the new Dior and that one oxidized on me like crazy. I’m getting ready to test a foundation from Frankie Rose cosmetics that is geared more toward sensitive skin. Visit my channel if you would like. I would love to have you. Xoxo 😘

Are you going to do a comparison to the Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue?

Thank you so much for testing these!! I have been thinking about trying to Charlotte Tilbury but I am more of a matted kind of gal for preference. I also work outside and live in a very humid area of East Tennessee. Therefore I just don't think it would linger with me through my journey of the day. To be honest I have mixed feelings about they dewy, glow look. For me it seems to look as if I am just extremely hot and sweaty or oily instead of dewy looking. Nonetheless, you always look so beautiful!!!

Thank you, Risa for this great video. So helpful because I was literally trying to decide, which one to get over the other. I have oily skin too and just picked up the Nars. 🥰

Thank you, Risa! I have normal skin. Decided to try the Nars. I have never tried either before. Wearing NARS for first time today. It looks beautiful but definitely light. Will definitely need to layer in the future. But for my sons basketball game with a mask on its perfect. Oh! I called Ulta for mine did not come with a PUMP! I thought I got gipped! Lol

I wanted to love the CT, but as an over 50, the Nars legit looks so smooth and flawless....

Thank you! Never too much info provided no matter what anyone says- it’s always in the details!!! Would you discuss hair shade color with brow color choices and foundation color choices - what enhances your eyes with all these together - you eyes pop - how is this achieved- overall - it’s a package in a way …. Brows are a framer of the eyes as you k ow yet the best foundation can’t announce the eyes - help us achieve success -

I love Nars foundations, and I’ve worn Punjab, but I feel like it pulls a little yellow on me and yet I see it on you and it looks great! I may check this out. Thank you 🙏

This was so helpful. I ordered the Beautiful Skin Foundation. I wanted one that is hydrating for my dry skin. Let’s hope it works!
