From someone you've never met, I find your stories that you explain so entertaining with the humour and vigour from South Africa that makes it all the more interesting. Well done guys you are inspiring!

Well done you 2, i really enjoy watching your journey all over the world, i am planing to do also, my question 2 you, is that: RYA Yachtmaster offshore Cert.. is only for a max of 150 Nm ! i thought ! can you please rectify ? many many thanks for your feed back
well, that is 100% true, and on our second passage we were further away from any coast than what any yacht would be crossing the Atlantic...but we could not claim a crossing eventhough we went many more latitudes going from south to north :-( that said, the insurance requires some certification, not mentioning any specifics because that would be tuff to decide whether US, UK, Asia, or South Africa, or Australia is right. Heck, it would be difficult to claim that a captain with no certification, who won the Volvo Ocean Race is wrong! So, it is still a grey area and we experienced that the rest of the world outside of the UK, does not necessarily know the basic COLREGS...not even the big carrier ships know to stay clear with 8 cables...anyway, my answer to your many questions is, what is your question? in what context are you trying to frame it? what country are you targeting? do you want to say that Turkish fishermen needs RYA? or for that matter, any fishermen outside of UK or inside of UK? if we intend never to be in UK (that small island close to France) waters, does the 150nm count? does other countries acknowledge RYA? South Africa for one does not acknowledge RYA for SA flagged boats... Anyway, as we said in our RYA videos (did you watch them?), we only did RYA to enrich ourselves with basic knowledge to sail our boat. we had to start somewhere so, we started there...
@@SailingSisu many thanks for your help and God bless you 2, enjoy your journey, and i am watching every episode, next year i will try to realise my dreams like you did. cheers

Good question, which I myself could not answer. The announced the L50 a few weeks after I put the deposit down... And since then I was asking that same question. And they did offer a spot in the L50 queue. But it is a big boat. But it is a lovely boat. Tough see saw of thoughts really.
We are wondering the same thing! 😂 It is a boat and plans are ever changing. So we decided not to plan and stick to that plan 😅 in general, we are heading to the Med
By far not yet sir! But we are circumnavigating 😏 perhaps not qualified, but even a small child behind a wheel of a car is called a driver... Perhaps a crazy reckless driver or even stupid driver... Or an inexperienced driver, but a driver non the less. We sure do not have the experience of sailors who has done a complete round, nor even the same experience than a lifelong fisherman who never go further than 50nm from the coast, but even you should acknowledge that we did a couple of miles of the coast for a long time, and we did start our circumnavigation as we said we will do. Oh, it will take us hopefully just like Delos, more than 10 years to do it, but we are doing it 😉

probably shouldn't drink and vlog.
😅Probably not but it will happen again, for sure! We try not to put a false pretence facade of who we not are 😉
You are not circumnavigators, by any stretch of any ones mind, post after you've done it, not before
Go back to your cave sir...
@@Eddie_-_ more likely just the basement...
dhamma58 haha.... true
Oh, it will take us hopefully just like Delos, more than 10 years to do it, but we are doing it 😉
Sailing Sisu Just do it and ignore or delete the haters.
J’adore vos vidéos ça me fais rêver et permet d’améliorer mon anglais, cela serait encore plus facile si il y avait des sous-titres☝️
Vous êtes un beau et gentil couple c’est beau de voir votre belle complicité 🤗
Bon vent💨
