Editing this as I didn’t mean to sound mean: your mother has taste. But Alfa needs to appeal to customers now and they have to be competitive against competitors. Customers have to like it. Otherwise Alfa can just shut their doors. And I love the classic Alfas, nothing more beautiful than a 33 stradale or a Giulia sprint. The company has to sell cars and they can’t sell sixty year old cars anymore than bmw can.
...but a Berlina and a middle engine sporscar on the make was great news in the introduction and the promise of a new model every year was nice to hear... just Do Not go front wheel again!!!❤ ALFA ROMEO
Haters will hate.. This will get me into an electric car though I’ll probably get the hybrid as long as it’ll do short journeys on electric only power. It’ll need to be lowered a little…3-4cm as the base model appears to have excessive clearance, just like I experienced with the Giulietta. It’s got useful boot, good rear seat space and enough styling cues to know you’re in an Alfa. They said at launch they’ve made it class-leading in lightness and handle dynamics. I hope so. It has me harking back to the Alfasud. ( A example of which I still own.) Triumph triples sound fabulous with the right exhaust so there’s no reason to think this can’t be made to sound like an Alfa should. This’ll be the errand/city car and will fit the bill nicely. My Giulietta and 4C will still be used for the fun drives into the country. Looking forward to the test drive. Thanks, Ron for going through the configurator. 👍👍Time for me to give it a go. Cheers👍
Once on their concept cars, Nissan IDX, Japanese designers used an interesting feature. The interior and seats are upholstered in denim. Then they abandoned these concepts. It seems to me that AR could take this idea into service. Since Milano is aimed at young buyers. As example, body color options to match the denim upholstery. And collaboration with some cool Milanese fashion house targeting young people. For example Off White
Tried the configurator for myself. The Scudetto 'Progresso' is the standard front shield grille, but there seems to be no mention of, or option to switch to, the Scudetto 'Leggenda' (wire mesh-look version). The alloys on the Hybrid are 3-Ring, on the electric they're 5-ring. So, where are the 4-ring examples shown for the launch? I can't configure the car to include either the wheels or the grille I prefer. They've certainly got a few issues to work out with that configurator.
Hey Ron, i noticed youre making more effort to get the correct pronunciations of italian words...wanted you to know its appreciated...no one cares if you get it perfect, its the effort that counts. all the best...
I mean it is basically a French car but as long as Alfa doesn't go the "f the enthusiasts" way like Mitsubishi did, that's fine to me. At the end they need the sales and budget to produce masterpieces like the Giulia, Stelvio, 4C, etc.
Shoulda made the big one first like the giant KIA that got rewarded car of the year in the whole world...seems like the world's people don give a Fuck about the future... designwise i have to see It live but Its a joint project from miles away.
€50k hahahahahahaha I paid €52 for my 310hp Stelvio Veloce fully specced with Square Tuned gearbox and ECU. What the hell are they doing? AR: Lets make a car for people that buy Mito's, but lets price it at the same level as people that don't buy Mito's.
...no Dodge copy at least...haven't seen a Tonale in traffic yet but a trailer full of them once... Sweden is not an Alfa country though... boring swedes!
****Making a note here: This is the Speciale version of the Milano. The Veloce will have more horses, red calipers and different options as well!
my 85 year old mother doesn't like it....she remembers when Alfa's were real cars
Bingo!
Whoa... 👵🏻
Your ma knows her cars. Bravo ! Good on her.

Bs! Maybe look at Alfas of the mid 80s and into 90s. So many where average, badly built cars
I showed this to my wife and she said “that looks like a Hyundai Kona”
😂😂😂😂 your wife says the truth

They need ti start bringing money in. Small chassis/motor Sport cars don't do well outside of the Japanese market
Fingers crossed!
@@11enzo11 yes but larger suv's sell like butter there also, and a sportscar is something missing besides the 🍀 models...It's ALFA

same. Terrible bad configurator. 0 options on wheels, calipers, interior....
Must be an early version of the config. Just surprised they released it so early without the Veloce spec present.
Yep agree with you on the scudetto. I like the 'leggende' version.
Looks like a quick hash up of the configurator as there is no rear view.
A new Peugeot 308!
🥴🥴
The sportseat's are made by Sabelt, that Is exclusive for the range...at least
Sabelt is a Ferrari F1 Team sponsor, the single seat of the new Ferrari Sf-24 is a Sabelt

Where are the ambient lights hidden? Not in the configurations?
Doesnt show so it will be interesting to see where they land.

I'm not sure the average buyer can justify the extra €10k for this car, as a Fiat 600e with the same battery and engine starts at €31.5k.
Navy blue
Thank you!
Ron!!!!....is that the price??...that means in Canada it'll be listed at over $60000 cdn....not going to sell ....way too high
Probably wont even make it to North America if we are being honest Pauly.
@@RonsRides With EVs making more sense in urban areas, why wouldn't Alfa want to sell this car in the US?
Only 156HP ???
It‘s a small car
And I believe later on, there‘ll be a 240 hp Veloce version
Just for the Speciale, the Veloce will have more
Cooled seats? At least heated?! No airvents in the back should be some some for the class, most of them don't though...
Yeah will have to double check. Im assuming those sport seats may not have heating or cooling but maybe heated standard seating.
This is a Peugeot 2008
Biturbo is pronounced beturbo over there, It is Latin, even ze Germans use it for a double turbo...
Ahhh thank you!!!
alfa romeo make no petrol manual for uk ffs
0-100 km/h ?!.. the electric one?
I believe so.
156 PS 9 sec. 150 km/h
240 PS 6 sec. 200 km/h

In white it looks even worse... How did anybody approve that car design? The Rim designs are a big step down from the Giulia/Stelvio era...
😥😥😥😥
Looks like every other SUV. The powertrain choices are nothing interesting. A microwave oven on 4 wheels. I'll pass.
Kinda too expensive and ugly in my opinion but we‘ll see how many people want one
I'm hoping a lot because I want the brand to succeed!
