I was gonna go manticore for blood and wine, usually I wear ursine but in toussaint feels kinda weird. But this video is tempting me right back to sticking with my ursine gear… 😱😱
Add Levity to Ursine armor. Keeps the heavy armor stats but turns it into light armor so you get the plus 30 percent stamina regen. It’s broken as shit. Best of both worlds being fast and strong attack. Insane Melee build.
Arachas Decoction decreases dmg taken with 50% while wearing heavy armor. 33% with medium and 20% with light armor. Use this if you want to be a tank. Also Chort is good against stagger, very nice for a heavy attack build. Combine it with Archgriffin and Ekhidna and you heal a lot, however that’s hard this patch because you need the metabolism talent for that (+30 tox) and even then you don’t have room for other potions. So you can use Ekkimara instead of Archgriffin and Ekhidna.
This is by far the best armor set in the game and nothing comes close (maybe griffin)...I guess the guy here don't want to make the really OP late build with the levity enchantment. You will take advantage of resistances of the heavy armor and add fast attack bonus for light armor then add some cat school techniques combined with metamorphosis....
Or not use Levity and make use of the heavy attack buffs that the bear school techniques skill affords. Rend+bear school armor and skill+Archgriffin decoction with Water Hag decoction/Invigoration enchantments produces crazy numbers like 150k in crits from a single rend
Nah, it’s slow and crap imo. You’re a one dimensional tank. It’s boring x the whole game is strong attack. I like feline build with fast attack and insane damage. It’s risky and “edge of your seat” sometimes but it’s incredibly fun.
you can swap the protection enchant for something else since you can buff yourself with Quen before battle and stamina regen outside combat refills very fast, you can go with retribution instead since you're a tank taking a lot of hits, or deflection to block arrows.
I am very excited to see what you can come up with for the Viper build. The Viper set is my favourite (aesthetics-wise) but doesn't have as much potential for interesting builds.
I usually take the Fleet Footed skill, makes the small dodge have a full duration('ish) i-frame. I almost never roll anymore unless I need to cover distance. Has been working really well for me so far to the point I can't go without it anymore
@Kevin-zz9du Can confirm. It is satisfying considering you built towards this the whole time and it only comes together fully with the grandmaster build. I'm killing anything that gets close to me in seconds. And critical hits make them explode! Bit switching to bear for some more interesting sword play

Honestly using protection on heavy armor pretty pointless I would use levity the one that turns it into light armor. Protection would be better of cat gear.
lol use the skill swap trick to make the build more into the UNDYING TANK, take off Rage Management and switch it Metabolic Control, drink 4 decoction... Ekimmara, Troll, Arachas (+50% DR), 4th decoc is up to your preference, Succubus for more dmg, Ancient Leshen for stamina regen, Chort, Griffin, Wraith for shit n' giggles, and then skill swap Acquired Tolerance and Metabolic Control to something else, also switch Poison Blades as it doesnt work on poison immune enemies, and Undying is so moot if enemies are shaving off 3-5% of your life every damage u received, plus for you last skill slot too... Endure Pain, Hunter Instinct, Killing Spree, Deadly Precision, Gourmet (if u have Horn of Plenty), Fixative, and lastly IMO... for Armor enchanting Deflection is more beneficial than Protection, and for the swords enchanting Preservation is a must have (use the Preservation offhand swap trick) and for your attacking swords enchantments Elation (w/ Ancient Leshen decoc) or Rejuvenation are way better options than Severance.

I’ve had w3 and all it’s add on content years ago, recently bought the next gen upgrade version but never really played passed the wild hunt! I assume you get this extra stuff in one or both the expansions? My game is bugged. I took undying skill on my first playthrough using deathmarch difficulty and game became normal difficulty. I putted only 1 talent to undying and that's it, whenever I suppose to die I have new 70% or 80% health. It's very imbalanced. I stopped using that skill and game is fine now, kinda difficult.
why even use one armor for everything? i like to have 1 set for humans, one for monsters, and switch out some abilities for each scenario. especially in ng+ when you have so much choice. if you add sockets to undvik set it makes human enemies irrelevant in ng+, even made 2 chest pieces of some armor so i can switch between deflection and levity.
Honestly if this game had some loadout system I would be more willing to use this, but having multiple sets on me and having to manually switch is a bit too cumbersome for me personally.
@@YYorle idk, it's like 3 seconds to change...but to each his own. It's not elden ring where the fighting continues even if you go in the inventory, that would make it impossible.
@@medovk Yeah, personally I already don't like having to dive into my menu to oil up for example, much bigger fan of continuous action. So having to go into the menu to switch around and look for descriptions and making sure I equipped the right parts all the time, too much of a flow breaker for my tastes.

That's the problem The viper set looks good but that's all about it nothing else i think wolven is better.

The most OP build for me is the Griffin's build. You just put an yrden tramp and spam igni with the 360 rune.

Arachas decoc specifically states the lower the inventory/armor weight, the more damage reduction. Is this another dogshit tooltip that's wrong?
Would switching out undying for whirl affect the build to much
pretty much the same build im running on DM i like this build feels great and combat requires some finesse and timing good stuff!
Please do viper as maybe viper is what you should use before you get to master armors.

Tried to make the new toxic blood work, but you need to make a glass cannon so enemies hit you harder. I'm playing with metamorphosis right now.

Yep, just take the fast attack skills and cat school technique. Use the runewright vendor to turn the Ursine set into light armor :)
