Malheureusement Rodion Chtchedrin n'est pas assez connu en France. Pourtant son oeuvre recèle des merveilles et les plus grands chefs le portent aux nues, V. Guerguiev, M. Jansons, M. Rostropovitch, L. Maazel, S. Ozawa... Le grand chef Svetlanov, avec l'Orchestre Symphonique d'Etat de l'U.R.S.S ,nous transmet cette symphonie avec intensité et émotion. Admirable.

I think he isn't well known in the US, either. J'quois q'il n'est pas bien connu aux E.E. U.U. non plus.

@@b43xoitThere was a time in the 60's when one spoke of him and his Carmen ballet was played.
Bernstein conducted some of his music but conductors are not very adventuresome in general with unfamiliar composers. A shame.
