Everything that you are doing does nothing to remove the nutrient accumulation that happens each year. A lot of your nutrients are coming from surrounding tree leaves that contain nutrients absorbed by the tree from the soil. Waterfowl add lots of nutrients. The bacteria may and can breakdown organic materials back into the the basic nutrients that will in turn grow more plants. All pond aging is due to the accumulation of nutrients via various processes. Unless you harvest stuff from the pond you are not removing any of the nutrients that grow plants. All the things that you are doing are just delaying the current plant growth that will in some form eventually happen. First plants you will probably see using your management methods will be Cyanobacteria and duckweed or watermeal that thrive in heavy nutrient rich water. As your pond ages you will see more and more of some form of plant growth that tolerate your current management methods. Again you are doing nothing to reduce accumulation of more nutrients that Nature is adding each year.
Would be more fun to add the bacteria and especially the pond dye using your boat and trolling motor to disperse it
Always learning alot. I like watching your channel !
Love the decoy trick. What do you think about Barley added to the water?
I have heard that barely works great. I haven’t tried it myself though.
lets see some of those fish
Good common sense video except for your choice of Chinese aerator. Good luck with that in the coming years. "Penny wise ,pound foolish".
