Been Binging your videos recently, hands down the best luxury hotel review channel on youtube!
Agree!!
I stayed at Vdara some years back with my friends at one of the suites due to Aria messing up our reservations. The suite was great and it was nice walking to Aria to get all the Vegas casino action and then being able to walk to a quite area for your room. It’s nice to see the upgrades they have made since then. Keep up the great work and information my man!! Hopefully this is just the start and you can do other cities and resorts in the US and possibly around the world.
I just recently found your channel. And I love it. I retired after 20 years in hospitality and 10 on the strip. Your reviews are fair and accurate. I enjoy seeing some of the properties I've been as well as those I haven't. Keep up the good work. 😊
Loved your video of restaurants and pool areas. Architecture and design is so important to the overall experience:)
The city corner suite is my favorite. Not even $100 more than a studio usually. Love the full size fridge and washer/dryer. Plus there’s an awesome vanity in the bathroom separate from the sink area that is terrific.
Stayed at the Vdara a few years ago. Vegas “pool day” or 2 is important and I agree 100% with your assessment of the Vdara pool and service. I also loved that a covered walkway behind the Starbucks takes you right into the Bellagio, giving you 3 great places to gamble, drink, and dine.
Great presentation as usual ! Love the objectivity and honest reviews. Thanks again Sir James From your brothers in the P. I. (Filipinas)
Great video!!! Most underrated hotel in Sin City. I only stay at Vdara when I go to Vegas. I stayed at the Aria this past Summer and I honestly wasn't too happy. I missed the calm and serene vibes that you get at Vdara.
When I took my Mom to Vdara in 2019 she still talks about how nice it was. Good video. I'll going back in Dec of 22. I have a parlor studio waiting.
Your videos and pompsiie are my two favorite Vegas vloggers , I went to Vegas last August for the first time, I'm an avid gambler in the northeast where I live, and a high roller at the casinos I frequent, Vegas I can tell will be my second home, love all the insight and info
The best views and pan arounds!
I couldnt agree more having tranquility w luxury close to the action
Nicely done!
Found this video and your channel whilst researching our next trip to Vegas. Really helpful and very well-presented! Subscribed!! 😀
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 days this past week after seeing your video. This place was amazing. Thanks for all the videos of Vegas, they came in handy for our trip. Will be Planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta next year based on the other videos you’ve made lol. Keep up the great work!!!
Awesome Bri 🙏🏻 - so cool 😎
Great video again james.. Jean George’s looks incredible definitely one to visit. 👏🏻👏🏻
I enjoyed my stay at Vdara, I've stayed there a few times. I never booked the penthouse suite but have stayed at the corner suite and I loved it. I agree about the pools, it's small but quite and very relaxing.
I love the Vdara it is a bit farther from the strip but I love how quiet and chill it is after a long day walking on the strip. The room are nice and love their bathtub :)
When he was like there’s a problem…funny bait and switch there. Love your videos helping me figure out what’s best in Vegas and how to maximize my trip!!!
Wow...over the top luxury. Simply fabulous and such a great review.
Aria also used to have one of the best buffets in Vegas. My sons and I also love Bardot Brasserie, Catch, and Din Tai Fung (known for their soup dumplings). Salt & Ivy has a really nice patio great for breakfast or lunch. Love Aria for all their great dining options.
Loved Vdara when i stayed there in Oct 2018.
I remember coming back to the room around 5AM after watching Armin van Buuren at Omnia Nightclub and it was all quiet and calm. 👌
"I love that Italian muff" Me too. hahaha
Wow! The blue & red rooms remind me of the blue/red rooms inside the Playboy Mansion gameroom...they weren't for eating necessarily though! If you do Vdara again get a corner executive suite, much better layout! I'd rate it higher than a 3. The only things I felt it lacked was an oven and a balcony. You won't usually need an oven, but I like the idea of having a group in Vegas for Thanksgiving! Signature MGM & Platinum are the only ones I know that have ovens in their full kitchenettes AND they have the balconies! I haven't tried a cap steak yet but I definitely will during EDC Week. Another great video James!
We love your channel! Thanks for the detailed reviews & coverage of restos! Btw my husband loves your blazer. Where is it from? TY!
Great job on this review! Stayed there recently and agree with you on everything. It was super loud with street noise and sirens all night long. There is a fire station at the bottom of the tower. Also very annoying that the toilet area has no door.
James; you are so on point. Thank you! CAB😎
Hey, dude, glad to hear you loved Jean George's and Carbone, as we haven't been there yet even though we have stayed there 3 times! So we are going now, and going back in November. Skybar, everyone check out James' video on the Waldorf Astoria we are going there as well. And Javier's as its likely the best Mexican in town. Ahhhh Vegas.....
Best of Vdara is the pool at Aria. You can use it for free, because the two hotels belong together. Had a very calm and relaxing time at Vdara.
The instrumentals on this video 🔥 🔥
Great video! Thanks!
Jean George is an amazing restaurant! I'm an Aria regular but from time to time I'll stay at Vdara for a more relaxed trip.
Great video, very helpful
Again, so informative. Always on point. We opted for Delano earlier this month after watching your review, Morea was perfect. Bringing the kids in May both will be 21. Was going to do 6 nights at Bellagio but I think we may do a few nights at VDara. Keep having fun! This channel is about to blow up!
I was thinking about going to Delano this November but I opted for vdara instead. No microwave and mini fridge at the Delano. That’s the only reason
@@kayshabella2440 Have fun. You will have in door connectors to Cosmo and Bellagio completed by then! V is a great hotel with a fantastic location. Enjoy
I think nice room. Perhaps needs a pop of accent color to pep it up ? Quieter location, yet proximity to other great things is appealing. Wonderful pool and cabana. Very helpful review. Cheers
Love the vids btw keep up the good work!
Thanks! 🤝
Awesome review. Great job!
🤝
that bar decor at JG's looks A1
Wow...looks like so much fun..........
Vdara has been my go to for my last 10 trips to Vegas
here's to the long-forgotten Vdara Death Ray. )
That steak looked amazing! Sold we are gonna give it a try!
Cool 😍 we were just thinking about book our room in Vdara for our next cheap
Trip i mean 🤣
I'm looking to spend a full week in Vegas next summer. After your videos it will probably be at Vdara or Elantra.
Panoramic suite is the best!
Always our choice.
Thx for the vid my parents are taking my family to Vegas for his work and we are staying at this hotel
Gets better every time...🤙🏼💯
Cc!! 🤟🏻🤝
Love that this property exists for someone who wants to enjoy a, peaceful, conservative, introvert-friendly, non-casino and no smoking property... I wanna buy a unit there hehe.
going to carbone for my birthday next week!!!
Wish I can do Vegas like you. Who is funding you the Gambino family if so tell him I'm available. But for real thank you for your videos and the time it takes out your day.
I've had both Jean George's wagyu and Strip Steak's. Loved both, but I personally give Strip Steak the edge
I love Italian muff too!
Welcome onboard the Jean George train!
Your right...Jean-Georges is the best,,,,and is very special!
It was awesome!
Love skybar...was there last year
I just ate a Jean George, probably my favorite place. The beef carpaccio!!!!
Carbone is sooo good! Also, does vdara have its own gym or does it just share it with aria?
Thats a badass room hehe
Loving all the videos man but that Mastro’s comment was out of pocket😂
Love that Italian muff!
I also felt that the penthouse was not great. Everything else was spot on, but I wouldn’t waste my money on that room
Do you need to book those restaurants before arriving in Vegas? Thanks
I stayed at Vdara 2 years ago, it was different. I wasn't use to seeing a kitchen when I first walked in. The rooms was very nice. The cons were no Restaurant on the property. and a very far walk to the north end of the strip. You say it a 5 star hotel but I beg to differ after staying in the LAP OF LUXURY known as the Wynn/Encore.
Agreed. Vdara is most definitely not a 5 star resort. It's more like a time-share considering it has a kitchen and washer dryer
I can say vdara is a 1000x better value, I also heard you can use the Aria pool if staying at Vdara. I think it's a weekday thing.
Did any of your restaurants offer happy hour james? I think a very overlooked segment is having a happy hour in these upper echelon establishments that people don't know about or go to.
The gf and I like to eat early bird before the restaurant really gets going and a lot of the time they offer happy hour from 5-6pm or something similar.
No happy hour at those places. If the happy hour is decent and memorable, I'll usually mention it like I did with koi and sushi samba.
Im wanderong if you get all these suites half price or free for doing these videos as influener for the hotels 🧐 maybe something i can try on future (: thanks again for a great review
That’s my favorite hotel very modern
We liked Vdara too. We had the 1 bedroom suite which didn't have a living area quite as big. However, the bedroom and bathrooms are identical. We were most happy with the location. We were able to bring leftovers from Mon Ami Gabi, Catch and Vegas by the Slice (where they have good vegan pizza). We were able to explore a bunch of different properties by day and gamble and dine at Bellagio and Aria by night. 1 day, all we did was relax, eat leftovers and do laundry to get the casino smell off our casual clothes. But I have to say, we were delighted to get back to our suite at the Wynn. Once we check into the Wynn, we don't bother to leave until it's time to go home. We love Sinatra's. We've celebrated every anniversary there lately. We hear the Oso Bucco is top notch and shouldn't be missed. (We wouldn't know, being vegan). But I believe it's their signature dish and Frank Sinatra's favorite family recipe.
You have good taste in restaurants.
Vdara is a sleeper! I have stayed in all of their configurations accept the penthouse! Is it true they were supposed to be actual apartment/homes for sale?
Is the Vdara pool heated or just at Aria? I will be staying at Vdara next week
You can go to Aria gym when staying at Vdara?
Are there free chairs at Vdara, if you don't want to rent a cabana. Thanks
Cool room, although I have always been curious about rooms with full kitchens; what would one cook on? Do they have cookware available to use or what?
Yes! You can contact the kitchen and they will bring you pots/pans/silverware and can opener. They had a nice supply of disposable utensils (individually wrapped fork/knife/spoon) in the kitchen drawer without asking too. I've heard of other hotels (with kitchenettes) supplying cooking items as well.
Vdara is boring and lame but the new inside walkway connecting it to the Bellagio definitely helps.
its like renting out a condo! too bad no free comps on myvegas apps, be like 500k LPs for one night 😂 😂
Are you using a dji gimbal?
Staying here rn lol
Are the sunbeds free to use mate?
Had to leave 777. Such a lucky Vegas number.
The problem is that the decorations are super blend and dull…there’s no fun in it whatsoever…or sophisticated and elegance of Bellagio or Wynn. It’s probably best for people who come here for business purposes…so they can use the kitchen for extended stay.
Posh Burger🤤
I’ve dined in Jean George’s steak house before & I absolutely loved it! I’m just a little embarrassed because after watching this video…I realized I was pronouncing it wrong 😑
Who doesn't like a good Italian muff?
The suite appears minimalist, modernist and a little sterile. Maybe that is the feeling that is missing. I like something a little more exotic or thematic.
Great comment
That Russian girl called it V dara. That was funny.
Dirty carpet, broken furniture had to change suites twice back in August, no restaurants on site ( one bar and one market store) no in room dining (so you’ll starve to death if you missed dinner time😂) , gym,spa and pool open only 4 days a week. The only good thing about vdara is they have passage to Bellagio and some suite with Bellagio’s fountain view otherwise it’s a waste of money!
👍👍👍❤❤❤
Jean Georges steakhouse is boo-boo IMO. TONS of bad reviews on JG. SW way better. I never had the carmines meatballs but the ones at raos were the best i had. I thought about getting a condo at Vdara or veer towers but i thought! Do i REALLY want to keep waking up to the stirp EVERYDAY? Vdara for its location and clean hotel at least a 4-5/6
How much pot can you smell in Vegas hotels now?
@@bidencockboy7608 weed is legal now in vegas? i don't smoke so this aint good...hate that funky smell!
Sorry to say but the rooms at Vdara suck, I "almost" stayed there 3 months ago. The room was dirty, carpets were stained, drapes didn't work, toothpaste on wall of bathroom, furniture was chipped and scratched like an old Reno room.
Went downstairs to trade room and the people ahead of me said were on their 3rd room for the same reasons and they found used women's underwear in the closet in the 2nd room.
Staff was nice she said they had nothing better, they let me check out no charge, I went to Cosmo. Never got a reply from management. 2 thumbs down for me.
Sorry to hear. I've heard of things like that with Vdara (and Aria) this year, but I've stayed at Vdara many times and never had this issue. The rooms were always clean and well maintained. Hopefully it's a fluke and they get it back together.
@@chrisanderson9981
Depending on what room at the Aria you get, even as a VIP, is hit and miss. Last stay, it was disgusting.
@Chucky Gold
Smart, I’m thinking of re-directing over to Resorts World and Wynn/Encore myself. You’d laugh if I tell you I had a pretty nice/ large room last year downtown at the Golden Nugget, you wouldn’t believe me.
It would seriously tick me off if I was spending many hundreds of dollars on dinner and some moron was wearing shorts in the dining room. Why don’t they enforce the dress code?
Great comment! I had reservations, wore designer jeans with a “cut” tailored blazer jacket and a shirt that complimented the jacket but was denied seating because the $275.00 jeans were ……….. jeans!
That’s the first thing I noticed was the guy in shorts.
Vdara pool is plain and small
3 out of 6 man there’s some stiff competition lol 🫣That’s how I know you’ve been staying at some great hotels because I would have thought it was 5 out 6 easy lol 😮 I guess it’s the Wynn for me lol 😏👌
