I didn't really liked how the Z's grandma and her friends were gaslighting Isabella. I would be devastated if my friend picked the dress that I'd really wanted. But, at the same time I feel like you should communicate with your friends beforehand since it's really important incase if your friend picks the same dress as you then obviously there will be some tension about it. At least they didn't have a huge argument about it and I thought that Isabella was being really sweet and supportive of Z which I thought was really nice.

The way I'm understanding is that a quince dress is just as important as a wedding dress maybe, or a baby name. Just like it's foul to steal your friends wedding dress or baby name, it's foul to steal a quince dress as well. "Oh I didn't know", well you did know before you willingly tried it on so that's not an excuse anymore. It may not be that deep to YOU but for most humans, especially women, and for an event such as this : no one likes to be copied.
