- Alicante is a city on Spain’s Costa Blanca. With plenty of sunshine at the Mediterranean coast it is also a favourite among tourists during summer thanks to the beaches and nightlfe.
We are in Alicante during the winter (February 2020) and start our walk in the modern part of the city at the Plaza de los Luceros / Plaça dels Estels.
First we walk around the residential shopping district with several department stores, eventually heading to the Alacant Terminal west of the centre. The old town, Barrio de la Santa Cruz, is in the East from 20:20 as we walk down to the marina.
We pass the casino and check out the view of the Mediterranean as we get to the beach "Playa del Postiguet". The Pasarela del Postiguet is an interesting winding bridge leading up to the old town. There in the Barri Vell - Santa Creu we stroll around the colorful houses for a while as the carnival is starting. We end our tour at the Concatedral d'Alacant Sant Nicolau de Bari.

San Juan beach who is just next to alicante city beach is very amazing. White sand. The water looks tropical. And you have nicer view of mount castle and background

@@viktoryiam8160 Si fuera otra ciudad tendría su propio Ayuntamiento, pero es un barrio de Alicante, y como tal, está gobernado por el Ayuntamiento de Alicante. Hay una avenida que cruza toda la ciudad de Alicante, que va desde San Gabriel hasta Playa de San Juan. Se llama la Vía Parque.

Alicante looks like a very underrated seaside destination.
It is and the chap walking around hasn't touched on some of the interesting parts.
One of the best places to live here in Spain. Unless you like big cities or villages. Everyone I know from the capital says the same thing: Alicante is like a capital withouth it size

Thanks for the hints.. There are such requests sometimes. Lately I've been recording GPS tracks. RUclips has no interactive map overlay feature. I would also like to have an additional commentary track for audio. There seem some way to do such features on a custom website and extended video player. I still feel that too few people would visit for such effort as I am monitoring poptravel.org landing page and email signups. I will see that at least the GPS tracks get posted as an image sometime soon. Thanks for watching!

You probably made this video with a GOPRO. During walk there is a shake of the walking, can that be avoided by using a software or should you live with it?
It's an Osmo Pocket 1 here as noted in the video description. There is a way to stabilize the Z-axis for less up/down movement. However, my experiments with a Z-Axis stabilizer weren't satisfying mostly due to the bit noise the springs make which gets into the audio. I'm now using a DJI Pocket 2 with a wider view where the bopping is less apparent ruclips.net/video/sIf5E-dGZf4/видео.html . In general larger gimbals and weight might counter the movement yet overall you have to live with it within this budget. I'm using a small rig as it's more fun and I wouldn't do these walking videos with heavy and bigger equipment. Thanks for watching

Estoy usando un DJI Osmo Pocket y un micrófono Zoom H1 para el audio. El audio se optimiza y se sincroniza antes de subirlo con el vídeo. Ambos dispositivos están conectados a un banco de energía para filmaciones largas. En caso de que el audio provenga del Osmo Pocket se indica en la descripción del vídeo

Thank you! Sure I'd love to live there in Spain. It's hard to pick a place though. Barcelona has everything - and the overtourism before. I liked Malaga as well, which seemed more comfortable to me than Valencia. It takes a while to get to the beach in Valencia and the inner city is rather big. Marbella seemed a bit more suited to retirees and is smaller - maybe similar to Almeria. I spent too little time in Alicante which looked fun in some places. It's really hard to chose - maybe Malaga would be cool due to plenty flight connections though I'd suggest to travel the coast east/west and around

I like moving faster here and film without fisheye which I personally find annoying after a while and can't watch longer. Text descriptions come to another channel at some point to keep the original experience here. What city video do you like there? Different tastes I guess though I sure like to improve.

That street is the "Comic and Manga" street in Alicante, there are some shops related to manga, comic and videogames. Maybe there was an event in one of them, or they just wanted to cosplay to visit the shops xD. Sometimes you can see Star Wars characters too :)
I surely noticed them as it's from a fantastic anime series "One Punch Man" (1st season was great) 😎. The walk was filmed during Carnival at the end of February 2020. I was looking to get back to South East Asia again next winter. Depending on time and budget it may work out. Last time I've travelled around 3 weeks from North to South in 2010... It was an amazing trip back then and I hope to return to Vietnam

One hour of 100 Mbit / sec from the Osmo Pocket is around 45 GByte. I'm uploading though 38 Mbit to RUclips - that's what QuickTime gives me at around 17 GByte / hour. RUclips encodes everything further

¿ Cuando vienen a España de vacaciones a tomar nuestro sol y comer nuestras paellas , no se les ocurre aprender español por cortesía ? Luego en sus paises nos obligan a hablar en inglés . Nunca hablo otro idioma nada más que el español , segundo idioma más hablado y subiendo del mundo , después del chino mandarín , que no solo todos los que están lo hablan , es que además tienen la cortesía de cambiar su nombre por uno español . Nuestras universidades se llenan de chinos y todos lo aprenden ¿ por que unos , sí y otros no ? Da igual donde esté , Alemania , Inglaterra , eeuu, ..... solo hablo español y resulta que antes o después me contestan en español . De nada por disfrutar nuestras playas , nuestro sol , nuestras paellas , nuestra sanidad gratis total , nuestras siestas , y este paraíso nuestro tan asequible para sus pensionistas que con sus pensiones no pueden vivir en pequeños pueblos hechos al estilo español donde solo viven ingleses , hablando inglés con súper de productos ingleses
