  • Granada in southern Spain’s Andalusia region is a popular tourist destination. With impressive medieval architecture from Moorish occupation, the Alhambra is one of the main sights while the old town also has many churches and monasteries from later periods.
    On this evening walk we start near the Cathedral of Granada coming from Calle Gran Vía de Colón at the Calle Oficios. We check out the Iglesia del Sagrario which is connected to the cathedral and the walk around the old city centre.
    There are mostly pedestrian streets that are getting busy on this evening (in February 2020). We see several squares like the Plaza de Mariana Pineda in the South, Plaza de Campillo Bajo with the fountain "Fuente de las Batallas".
    There in the commercial centre of Granada we visit the Church of St. Anton (Iglesia de San Antón) and keep walking North now until the Plaza De La Universidad.
    It's getting dark now so we head back to the Cathedral and Plaza Nueva in the San Pedro district. After a while we see the Alhambra towering over Granada and end this walk in this Andalusian city.
    For a walk around the Alhambra and Partal Gardens you may be interested in our walk there: • Walking in the ALHAMBR...

    I’m Western Canadian. I love visit Spain. This particular city is a treasure: in the same city you may see a lot of HISTORY. From simple Middle-age town to last Muslim spectacular city-castle in Spain. First Spain Capital. Flamenco Guitar, Dance, Singing. To modern discrete neighbourhood. All at walking distance. Enjoying Mediterranean whether.
    In this video you show a dark deserted city. Winter time. Sad people. Close to no tourist.
    I’m not Spaniard but it make me think in a “Do not go promotion”. A shame published in a public media, which promotes respect and no accept hate vídeos or comments.

      I've had a wonderful time in Granada, and you can see comments on these videos usually praising its beauty. I find it interesting that you perceive this as negative promotion, while this video has no edits whatsoever. What you see is the picture straight out of the camera from that time in February 2020. This walking video is not a promotion. Nothing is staged nor is it altered reality.
      I hope you can visit Spain and get your own impressions. I personally have spent around 7 months in Spain by now on various trip s- even lived for a month in Barcelona and Mallorca each - walked the Camino de Santiago in May 2023 (from Porto). I love Spain and look forward to my next visit.

      Tienes razón, Granada es una ciudad bulliciosa, alegre, muy movida y en este vídeo da la impresión de una ciudad desértica y sin vida, un vídeo sacado en invierno y muy entrada la noche. Por eso a mí me ha decepcionado, Granada es otra cosa.

      I checked 10:50 and don't see an issue or don't understand what you are referring to. Is she saying something other than "cuando"?
      In general the law in most EU countries says that it's not allowed to film people doing something but it is allowed to film in the public with people in it. Certain person(s) should not be the motif of a recording. If people could be exchanged without impacting the picture, it's considered OK. This is the reason why I walk fast to not follow anybody and usually pan away when too close to faces. Within the years I have received mostly happy comments when someone recognizes him/herself. On one occasion recently I blurred faces upon request - several other times I pre-blurred faces when I thought it could be an invasion of privacy. So blurring is now easily possible within RUclips and I comply to requests quickly.

    • @mancityfan45
      @mancityfan45 2 года назад

      @@poptravelorg it sounded like an insult to me , however I may be wrong.
      Just he wary though Spain has very strong Data protection laws and this tends to reflect in attitude of society and stops me from filming walks I do around Barcelona something I would love to do.
      I will need to look into the possibility of bluring images of faces on RUclips thanks for that.

    • @poptravelorg
      @poptravelorg  2 года назад +1

      Everybody has a right to his own face / voice and usage. In public you are not allowed to film people in embarrassing situations or exploit them in some way. When you film streetlife and city architecture data protection laws say that you should not have exact times making people traceable with location. RUclips terms disallow face recognition for example. Germany has the §23 KunstUhrheberGesetz which allows photography under these conditions of people as "accessories". Dashcam videos with timestamps and number plates are potentially tricky in the EU. Street musicians or people's interviews on the street are less problematic as consent of filming is implied. On your channel you filmed and interacted people though - in situations - running a red light from what I understand etc.. That could be more a violation of privacy from my understanding if they don't consent as they are the "subject" of the video rather than the "accessory". I'm not a lawyer yet I keep the rules in my head and be as non-intrusive and respectful as possible while showing the cities
