I started the Keto diet 3 years ago. I lost 35 pounds my joint pain is gone. My brain fog gone. I am also 75 years old. I grow my own low carb vegtables in my small garden. Life is good. I am glad your family is doing well. You both are looking younger and very healthy.

As a clinical psychotherapist, I've got to say how totally impressed I am with the way you two set healthy boundaries in this video with your viewers! It was a masterclass in the 3 steps: knowing which boundaries you need to set, communicating those boundaries in a relational way, and defending those boundaries on occasion as needed. You two are a delight and an inspiration!
I don't raise livestock or a veggie garden with the exception of a few large pots for tomatoes. For thirty plus years, I have grown perennial flowers and herbs and never had a problem with deer eating anything. A few years ago, I became ill and was unable to maintain my flower beds. Within a very short time I noticed my perennials, for the most part, sadly disappeared. I knew immediately that my presence and my scent was no longer a threat to the deer. Thank you for bringing these wonderful videos to us and I hope Kevin continues to carry his saltshaker whenever he is in the garden!!!
I have guineas and yes they help with ticks and do alarm call if anything comes on the property as soon as the sun starts to go down. They also are protective of my chickens.

On the tick thing Kevin, from experience, if the dizziness returns a few days after the antibiotic run, get back to Dr for another run. I had to be on doxy for 60 days, after the fact, the health department finally admitted that here in Oklahoma the RMSF had been harder to overcome. I wore long sleeves a lot that summer. I knew God would look after both of you and your parents as well. Keto for the past year has been a wonder for this 78+ year old. Within 6 weeks I was off injections of Trulicity once a week. No longer on any Type 2 diabetic meds 😊 A-1 c is 5.7 and gone from 240 to 165 with 20 to go.
You both are such lovely people. You are so kind in how you address questions, concerns and even complaints. What an inspiration you are. I want to be your neighbor😊!! I have watched you for years and learned so much. I really enjoy how you try things out and adjust wisely to your needs and likes. What doesn't seem rewarding or cost affective you cut it out or save it for another time. Sharing your wins and losses become such valuable information. Adopt a few opossums for the homestead. They eat ticks and don't carry lime disease. So glad that you're doing so much better Kevin and that your parents are recovering. We got 10 chicks in March. Well 7 are roosters!! We do have 12 older hens so will prosses 6 or 7 of them and 6 roosters the end of Aug. or mid Sept. That will leave us with 8 or 9 hens and 1 rooster. We will be able to use our greenhouse this winter, thank God. Things are growing slower this year than any year before. Crazy!! So I'm going to start some things middle of this month and will have them in pots so they can be moved inside the GH for winter. Thanks for sharing. Every single batch of American Bresse I've hatched out are very friendly. They have consistently come up to me when I feed and water and they love belly rubs!

Great Kevin has bounced back. I have lost 100 pounds on Keto and all blood work was fabulous last visit. Never had better BP and all my Nail beds are healthy again.
I've been on the Keto diet too for the last 3 months or so and have lost about 30 lbs and feel so much better. At our family reunion this week my married kids all told me they could not believe how much healthier my skin looked too. Love it.

We installed a Safe Shed on our property here in Missouri. It is above ground. We really like it. I didn’t want to have to crawl down steps into a storm shelter as we get older.

Pay no attention to people who sit on their rears at home and criticize you guys. I don't think I have ever known of a couple that plans their life as well as you and who follows through on their plans and works as hard as you. It's impossible to dodge every curve ball life throws at us, they come too often and look different each time, but if plan and hard work will help, you guys have made it and followed through on it. @@vahlla78Hair loss happens with any rapid weight loss, keto or non-keto. If you got gastric bypass surgery, your hair would also fall out.
