John Munch- the guy who works in the system but has never really trusted the system. They also at least implied back on Homicide LotS that he committed vigilante homicide himself against a guy who slipped through the system, but the cops assigned to investigate let it slide.
RIP Richard Belzer.
THIS! It's a long-standing (and pretty plausible) theory that he killed Gordon Pratt, the racist scumbag who shot and nearly killed Bolander, Howard, and Felton, but it was never dwelled upon further.

If armaro didn't loose his cool, he could've charged that guy for assaulting a police detective.

I'm shocked that Elliot Stabler was arrested when he was an SVU detective for almost killing a pedophile I mean he came really close I bet Elliot would help Nick Amaro beating and almost killing Simon Wilkes.
What season was that one with Elliot killing a pedophile? Because in Season 10, he beat the hell out of a pedophile for having a photo of his youngest daughter, Elizabeth on his website, and Cragen reamed him for that.
@@omarcogle1965Stabler didn’t get arrested no, but Cragen putted him on administrative leave with payee and reprimanded him about his actions, especially on controlling his temper.

Lol, about a year ago, I told my sister that EXACT joke, since she’s the biggest “Cold Case” fan I’ve ever known. She cracked up! 😂

He wasn't trying to be a vigilante sistakia33. Amaro had a child of his own and was more so thinking as a fiercely protective parent in the moment. I do agree he should have exercised self-control though.

Detective Armaro should’ve told his fellow officers to stand down or he would charge them with assaulting an officer
Taking pictures of random kids at a playground shouldn’t be legal idc if your in public land
It’s not legal. It is 100% illegal to take pictures of someone, especially children, without their consent irregardless if you are in public.
@@Ronin.Samurai Its 100% legal, you dont have expectation of privacy in public, anyone can photograph or videotape you if youre walking in a public park or just down the street. Doesnt matter what age they are or if they have consent. If you try to take their camera away or intimadate them thats illegal. Not that im siding with creeps but what the detective did was wrong in the eyes of the law. Why else would things like paparazzi exist?
@@chrisp.7432 wrong. As I stated before it’s completely illegal to take pictures of someone without their consent irregardless if you are in public. You need to do your homework.
@@Ronin.SamuraiFrom ACLU: Your rights as a photographer:
When in public spaces where you are lawfully present you have the right to photograph anything that is in plain view. That includes pictures of federal buildings, transportation facilities, and police. Such photography is a form of public oversight over the government and is important in a free society.
When you are on private property, the property owner may set rules about the taking of photographs. If you disobey the property owner's rules, they can order you off their property (and have you arrested for trespassing if you do not comply).
Police officers may not generally confiscate or demand to view your photographs or video without a warrant. If you are arrested, the contents of your phone may be scrutinized by the police, although their constitutional power to do so remains unsettled. In addition, it is possible that courts may approve the seizure of a camera in some circumstances if police have a reasonable, good-faith belief that it contains evidence of a crime by someone other than the police themselves (it is unsettled whether they still need a warrant to view them).
Police may not delete your photographs or video under any circumstances.
Police officers may legitimately order citizens to cease activities that are truly interfering with legitimate law enforcement operations. Professional officers, however, realize that such operations are subject to public scrutiny, including by citizens photographing them.
Note that the right to photograph does not give you a right to break any other laws. For example, if you are trespassing to take photographs, you may still be charged with trespass.
Taking photographs and video of things that are plainly visible in public spaces is a constitutional right-and that includes transportation facilities, the outside of federal buildings, and police and other government officials carrying out their duties. It is legal to photograph or videotape anything and anyone on any public property, within reasonable community standards
From Photographers rights: The General Rule
The general rule in the United States
is that anyone may take photographs
of whatever they want when they are
in a public place or places where they
have permission to take photographs.
Absent a specific legal prohibition
such as a statute or ordinance, you are
legally entitled to take photographs.
Examples of places that are traditionally considered public are streets,
sidewalks, and public parks.
Do your homework instead, my friend, since as a photographer I did mine already. Both straight from Photographers rights and ACLU.
Unless youre referring to somewhere outside the USA, inside the USA its 100% legal. So unless you come with some actual proof or law that says its illegal, youre just making it up.

He was on a public sidewalk. You can photograph anything you want from a public sidewalk.
@@trwentwrong. You cannot take pictures of someone, especially children, without their consent. It is 100% illegal. Do a little homework.
@@Ronin.SamuraiNo, there is no law in New York City that prohibits photographing children in public spaces, as long as you aren't blocking sidewalks or traffic. However, there are some things to keep in mind when taking photos of children in public:
Be respectful: Don't linger too long and make anyone feel uncomfortable.
Don't be a stalker: Avoid going to extremes to get a certain view, like climbing a ladder over a fence.
Respect their privacy: Don't take photos of children in places where they feel alone, like in a sandbox in a fenced-in backyard.
Public space is where most street photographers will be taking pictures--luckily! As a photographer, you have a huge amount of freedom in such places. “Public space” is basically any space that is readily accessible to the public--think streets, sidewalks, benches on those sidewalks, parks, etc. In New York City, it’s beneficial to know that even the subway is considered a public space (although, unless you’re a member of the press, you are restricted from using tripods, reflectors, lights, and other additional equipment). Not only is it legal to photograph in such locations, but you can also photograph people or objects that are in public view, even if they are actually situated on private property. For example, you may snap a photo of people sitting on the front stoop of a brownstone, or people eating lunch at an outdoor cafe. Keep in mind, you are not going to be protected if you go to great extremes to get that view--for instance, you shouldn’t haul a ladder with you to peer over a fence on the side of a street. Note that you are free to photograph anyone in a public space--adults, including officials like police officers, and children, alike. That said, don’t be a creepy stalker. Especially when photographing kids, take a couple of shots and move on--don’t linger too long and make anyone nervous. Remember, treat others as you’d like to be treated--especially children.
@@eDDyL666 100% wrong. As I already said, it’s illegal to take pictures of people, especially children, without their consent. It is the law.
