OK so I've read this somewhere and it's so funny i have to share it: Try to keep your cursor on Kripp's nose when he talks at the beginning of his videos.
I faced a warrior with 2 molten giants, 2 pandas and warsong comanders. It goes like this: I win and beat him down to below 10 hp so molten costs 0. Then molten, molten. warsong comander. If I am not dead already, panada the molten giant back... Owned me totally.
The Warrior OTK is pretty popular at the moment. You just have to realize when the Warrior is letting you have the early-mid game, then ease off until you have lethal damage.
I just got beta access a day ago and it is quite enjoyable to play and I have gone 9-2 several times however it is just as much fun to watch it played I think.
i would like more info plz at what turn does he start and plays what? because none of the scenarios i can come up with work he only had the second frostbolt on turn 8 which was after 5 extra card draw from arcane intelect on both turn 4 and 5 and acolyte of pain on turn 6 aswell as ofc the entire plan relaying on kripp never playing a taunt + drawing the right card he needed on turn 8 which is the latest possible point it could end for a mage win
for taunt them later. This strategy based on being low life, so you need a good protection. So two watchers and sunfury protector combo do it pretty well for 6 mana only
Its not draft mode, it was a constructed game, the watcher is to combo with void terror (it sacrifices creatures at its sides and sum up their stats to it)
Gold card is actually ONLY related to rarity and worth in terms of scarciness and crafting/disenchanting. However, in terms of gameplay, there is no difference between a gold and normal version of the card
then i would have to question how good you are / how good your deckbuilding skills are ive seen a deck that consisted out of nothing but basic cards that actaully seemed quite solid the amount of legendarys kripp has is irrelevant because the only one i saw wont effect the deck that much really if he dropped it out granted the deck was focused around epics tho actaully i know this is much to ask but could i see your decklist? im intrested ^^
Personally I wouldn't mind if they implemented a few mechanics that are present in MTG. It would give the game a more familiar feel for players and if it's something that works then they might as well throw it into the mix.
Been playing since 2 week after closed beta, only time i get boored is when i get 3-3 or something twice in arena, then i play something els for an hour and two.
it has the potential to be a brutally powerful card, but it's only as good as the cards on the table. it's extremely weak against massed weak minions if you aren't able to get a big minion of your own out that can survive a turn. there are other really powerful 5s with big downsides: earth elemental (3 overload), venture co merc (+3 cost to all other minions), doomguard (discard 2 cards)... also, a huge downside to faceless compared to those 3 cards is that to have something better than a 5 cost minion on the field for him to copy, it will usually be later than turn 5. so while it's definitely mana-efficient, you won't be able to get him out on turn 5 like you can with other cards. copying an 8-8 for 5 mana on turn 9 is efficient, but it's not as hard to deal with for your opponent as a 7-8 on turn 5. the card would become very hard to play as a 6 cost minion and would be an utter joke at 7 or 8 cost as only copying the most expensive legendaries would be a profitable play mana-wise. and finally, there are plenty of high mana value cards that are strong because of their battlecries which you don't get to use with faceless, and also any damage they've taken before you can copy them will persist. tl;dr i don't think faceless is op, just a good yet situational card
ken wood lol I agree with Daniel, Faceless Manipulator can be really strong, but only in certain situations, making it balanced. It's cost usually nullifies the ability to play something really strong and duplicate it in the same turn, so unless your opponent has something ridiculous (like an Ironbark Protector), it takes 2 turns to get the Manip rolling, and that's assuming you have board control. Otherwise, your big 8/8 could be reduced to an 8/2 or outright destroyed, both scenarios where the manip is downright useless.
I wonder how this works.. because everytime i cast high hp creature against mage i get freaking sheep in my face... and in every deck they have like 2+
Maciek Nova It is possible but the chanses of that happening are 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000331 (Yes i did the math and no i didnt add random numbers)
No contest at all that there are similarities, and MTG and hearthstone are probably siblings if someone made a family tree of TCGs and CCGs. Actually, I imagine the Hearthstone devs will have to work pretty hard to add new mechanics without becoming MTG. Thanks for the civil conversation, and the info on WoW TCG.
Well the mage didn't really draw a flame strike or a polymorph, esspecially the poly, it woulda reeally saved him, atleast before the double molten giants.
Well, I guess therein lies the problem. I've had horrible luck with Arena, so I don't have a consistent income of card packs, so I end up playing with the same cards over and over again. I'd guess people who are in the same situation might get a bit bored with no new cards to play with.
I got a bluescreen last night watching your fight against a mage, you had like 15 health left and mage 28 at turn 5. I heard before the computer died and screen went black that you actually WON. How the hell... what happened? Must have won on turn 6-7 at most.
I love how you look like you're dodging bullets in the beginning of all of your videos.
ikr? he moves his head around as he talks
He's straight out of the Matrix.
kind of is, yeah :/
someone needs to animate this.
And by love I mean hate with a burning passion.
Little did he know it'd become the meta we see today. Along with cancer Hunter.
Dudebug2000 and grim aids warrior
Dystopian Soziopath Not to mention Control "Dick Necrosis" Warrior.
+Svenrei But at least control isn't fucking full aggro shit
MrTrollinglol Agreed xD I was just continuing the joke was all :P
How about Metallica Mage?
I like how even in beta he was so used to the boards that he could click apart everything interact-able by the start of his second turn.
The creation of the Handlock
he moves because he's stoned as fuck
Smoke weed everday
lol, handlock in its fetus form
OK so I've read this somewhere and it's so funny i have to share it:
Try to keep your cursor on Kripp's nose when he talks at the beginning of his videos.
It's impossible! He's like that doll that you put on your car, that makes its head move!

The Warrior OTK is pretty popular at the moment. You just have to realize when the Warrior is letting you have the early-mid game, then ease off until you have lethal damage.
you need to keep him around 15-18 HP so he can't use his combo, then just add up damage untill you can finish him off in one turn.
Sephiroth0232 You can also have some taunt ready on the field so he cant attack you directly
he'll smash through it though, or use some removal on it
damn i wish they didn't nerf the warsong to be 3 damage and below get charge
Alright... I've watched enough of the recommendations for this channel.. I surrender.. subscribed.
You must be a fellow Trumpee, lol.
4:05 AM nolife Kripparrian!
The head just wobbles from side to side.
birth of handlock
Kripp, The Handlock Hipster.
krip streaming, totally motionless, krip doing a youtube? movement, hand motion all that jazz
He is having a ton of fun Kappa
best deck !! cant wait to get to play this game
DAMN! thats a sick warlock deck :D
I just got beta access a day ago and it is quite enjoyable to play and I have gone 9-2 several times however it is just as much fun to watch it played I think.
Apart from the minion sac x3ICEx mentioned, you can also give them taunt using other creatures and use them as blockers
So where can I find the full card list for this deck?
Nice deck. Also, how hard is 3star master to reach?
27 Jan 2015 stream viewers incoming
Beat me to it!
Hi m8
Oh man, really? Handlock before it became main stream.
i would like more info plz
at what turn does he start and plays what?
because none of the scenarios i can come up with work he only had the second frostbolt on turn 8 which was after 5 extra card draw from arcane intelect on both turn 4 and 5 and acolyte of pain on turn 6

wait did kripp invent handlock with this video?:D
Given that he explains that someone else made it in this very video; no, no he didnt... :)
so this is how handlock came about ayy?
RIP in peace handlock
ahh when nat pagel was thrown into every deck like doctor boom was two weeks ago
Shadow flame needs more love. Nothing like empowering your Venture Co. hit opponent's face for eleven and commit board wide sudoku afterwards.
for taunt them later. This strategy based on being low life, so you need a good protection. So two watchers and sunfury protector combo do it pretty well for 6 mana only
Well I've never grown bored of Dwarf Fortress ;)
Its not draft mode, it was a constructed game, the watcher is to combo with void terror (it sacrifices creatures at its sides and sum up their stats to it)
Solid points
you can combo with them well as a priest if you silence them they can attack
if you add that up im pretty sure you cant do it in in two turns either due to mana
You MUST upload the game from yesterday when you played two molten giants and the mountain giant at the same time. That was way more hilarious!
I was hoping you would upload the triple ysera play you did yesterday with FatPally, lol
Do you have link to decklist for this?
Not only that: Kripp had lethal on board. Fireball was the way to survive another turn. Dopey can't even add, it seems. :)
That deck has high value.
Where can i find this deck ? want to try it !
Gold card is actually ONLY related to rarity and worth in terms of scarciness and crafting/disenchanting. However, in terms of gameplay, there is no difference between a gold and normal version of the card
He also had the Sunfury Protector to give it taunt. 4/5 taunt for 4 mana? That's what I call value!
you can sunfury or argent defender them and of course shadow flame
Don't... stop... shakin... dat head.
Can you post the deck list Kripp please?
anyone got a link to the deck?
Any hearthpwn link for this fun-deck?
then i would have to question how good you are / how good your deckbuilding skills are

Deathwing baby!
Them feels
can someone explain to me the point of having those watchers in his deck ?
I did not know handlock was that old.
dem locks
Been playing since 2 week after closed beta, only time i get boored is when i get 3-3 or something twice in arena, then i play something els for an hour and two.
Oh man the argentum Comander was a 6/3...i whould love that today...he ist so vulnerable against any type of removal now it´s awful for 6 mana...
Its still really good. Even if its removed it will likely have made a 2 for 1 trade, as you often kill something with its charge + the removal card.
It was a 4-3 for 6 mana with charge and divine shield, not much of a difference but it's still a very good card.
i have never play any card game other than solitaire :P and i don't get this one too much but danm kripp can make every thing more fun
I always skip that minute were you start talking, at the begining
the infamous "chat lethal" ignores all the mechanics
Early Stages of HandLock
Guess it was still a prototype
Taunt only blocks minion atacks, it doesnt block Spell damage or other Minion abilities.
Oh man! This is the old rank system! *sigh*... OMG THE CLERIC IS A 3/3
Chat lethal strikes again.
Of course. MTG and the WOW tcg are essentially hearthstone without the added hassle of manually building up resources
I like that he's talking about cookie cutter bs, while playing what would become the most cookie cutter bs ever.
Well, I bet the first guy to play aggro shaman thought it was a REAL good time. Everything gets worse the more you see it
what were the silver stars under the hero after he won? :)
+Mitchell Oostveen That is what golden stars used to be in the Hearthstone Beta, this video is from October 2013
Ranked stars maybe?
why the fk im watching this in 2017?
Im surprised they havent nerfed faceless manipulator, card is so damn op for its mana cost.
Not really... Look at Clone and better yet phantasmal image in magic.

Except this conversation is about Hearthstone...

inb4 Daniel rages when he loses an arena match because of faceless manip.
lol ;)

Anyone have a card list for this deck
Pugsylol google handlock
Are related to worth tho, since they DE for more.
show us the triple Ysera moment it is pretty cool pls
is it just me or did that Mage have quite a fair number of cards to wrangle those minions?
I would give anything to see his hand......
I wonder how this works.. because everytime i cast high hp creature against mage i get freaking sheep in my face... and in every deck they have like 2+
Ok, we will just have Mr. "I want my oompa loompa now daddy" tell us how hes superior to everyone who got a beta invite.
is it me or was the coloring, or saturation in the early stages of hearthstone different
+Connor Ryan they looked slightly unsaturated, maybe it's because of different recording program
Beta hearthstone.
*looks at thumbnail* even in arena, where that's possible, the opponent would have 9 turns before you could do anything...
actually its impossible even in arena
Maciek Nova It is possible but the chanses of that happening are 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000331 (Yes i did the math and no i didnt add random numbers)
oh ok then didnt know that i guess the last 30 mins i spend were for nothing
Fabian Hylla Actually it's the first, 10th, 20th and last card.
Fabian Hylla No, they're always rare or better. I'm not sure what thumbnail OP is talking about, but I'm going to assume it's full legendary arena.
No contest at all that there are similarities, and MTG and hearthstone are probably siblings if someone made a family tree of TCGs and CCGs. Actually, I imagine the Hearthstone devs will have to work pretty hard to add new mechanics without becoming MTG.

this video is " skripptat" hehehehehehe
Such creature, much health wow
Souparrian !
I am here from the future, none plays handlock warlock anymore. BGH
+radu alexadre might see slight plays, BGH DOOWN.
Not only that, but he didn't even have the mana to use all of those cards over 2 turns.
kripp, what league are you in?? I want to face you with my paladin deck :)
hey! handlock :D
Well, I guess therein lies the problem. I've had horrible luck with Arena, so I don't have a consistent income of card packs, so I end up playing with the same cards over and over again. I'd guess people who are in the same situation might get a bit bored with no new cards to play with.
why is he clicking things around the playing board at the beginning of the match?
Because objects around the game board can be interacted with and it's a nice little distraction while waiting for a turn to pass.
Same here, I prefer watching than playing.
thats called handlock :P
WOW you are so smart. How do you know?
ludvig2733 Yeah, it's called handlock today. It probably didn't have a name back in FUCKING 2013.
ludvig2733 in 2013 it didnt have name, because it wasnt a "common deck"
leave him alone his mind was fucking blown at foil taunt m giant. the short bus stopped for a minute
