I loved forced proximity romances. Only one bed, road trip, stuck together for long periods of time.. Add in the end of the world and I am totally captivated.

About Me
Hi! My name is Jenn! I started this channel in April of 2018 to meet bookish-minded people and be nerdy with them. I make new videos every week. I live in Fargo, ND and it is a wasteland. Romance Booktube is my passion and I am so thankful for all the friends I have and will make her.
Thanks so much for watching!
XOXO,
Jenn

"Still Beating" is so good. I was a bit scared to read it because I wasn't sure how graphic the abuse would be. But Jennifer Hartmann handles the subject very well, without going too far. And I loved how the title of the book tied into the story.
Yaaasss I LIVE for this trope!! So many amazing books! One of my favorites that made me BAWL by the end of it is Withering Hope by Layla Hagen. Their plane crashes in the middle of the jungle… on the way to her wedding 👀 so romantic and swoony!!
Yes! Good to know! I still have 5 to read on my list, and Withering Hope is one of them. :)
@@TheBookRefuge ahh can’t wait to hear what you think!!
LOVE this rec video! ive also been looking for more of these survival forced proximity books!
This is exactly what I needed! Now to decide which one of your recs to start with!
I have burned through so many genres that I literally can’t find anything else I want to read. This maybe be a way back.
Love LOVE survival scenarios. Thank you for this!
I LOVED last light by claire kent. Their relationship is developed so nicely throughout the story. I feel like she is such an underrated author-I’ve been very moved by the works she has written.
Recommendation here! Unloved by Katy Regnery
Gotta love the danger banging 😆
Hi Jen!! Yes yes!! One of my fave tropes 😍😍😍 thank you!
Just finished Last Light based on your rec. GREAT book!!! Totally got me out of a book slump!! Thank you! Can't wait for the next on on this list, I love this trope!
Thank you for including an MM book. It's so hard to find recommendations for these. 🥰
I just wanted to say THAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!! I just read 'A Wildness Within' because I saw this video! THANK YOU! That book was SO FREAKING GOOD!!!
Whoop whoop!
Just finished Last Light today... started it yesterday - such a page turner!! Thanks for all your recs!
These all sound so tempting.
Here I am many years later watching this because I’m currently reading Last Light and all I want is more of this niche subegenre
Heck yes!! It pushed me down a whole rabbit hole. Haha!
i love clare kents books. Last light was my favorite. Btw im subscribing in your channel.. I kove travis kind of vibe he loves her very much. and layne and travis love story is soo 5 stars. thank you for this 💟💟💟
I don't know from which one to start... they all look so interesting
Love this trope, thank you for the recommendations 🙏 may I suggest Crash by Drew Jordan for this trope also.
Yay so excited for this!!
Definitely adding some of these to my list! Keira Andrews also has a couple of novella survival ones! Arctic Fire and Voyageurs are two that come to mind, and both have audios on Hoopla. I know you weren't 100% in love with Karen Robards after reading One Summer, but she also has some survival trope ones, such as Heartbreaker and Walking After Midnight.
What?! I totally loved One Summer! It was just super dated, but I would have loved it sooo much as a teen. Haha! I will check those other ones out. I do have some of her HR as well.
@@TheBookRefuge Oh good! I didn’t want to nudge more of her titles your way if you weren’t interested 😆 I def ate her books up as a teen and need to do some adult re-reading to see how many of them still hold up.
I feel like my book slump may be over ! There’s a few I’ve not heard of or read
I’ve had whiteout on my kindle for a long time so I think this is my sign to start it finally!
It's a great read! Hope you enjoy!
Jenn read Heartbreak Warfare by Heather Orgeron . It’s about to soldiers who are captured by terrorists and have to survive together . It’s also kinda like a love triangle too since the heroin is married . Jess from peace love books recommended it Recently and I read it and I couldn’t put it down it was so heartbreaking, wonderful, and sad at the same time . A five star read for sure !
Another video like this please!!
Haha "Danger Banging"... Best description ever
The first book in Lexa Kline's McClary Chronicles, Sgaile Leannan, is a forced proximity story, and it's set in Scotland! xD I think you might like it!
Have you read On the Island by Tracy Graves?
Yup! It's in one of the other videos linked in the cards. :) love that one
Oh I love Transcendence !!!!!
Uuummm thank you for getting me too out of this here book slump. Still beating just pulverized me! Well written and just omg. Loved every single part the audiobook is what I used and loved the narrators Thank you. I’m eager for the next one don’t know what can top it now though.
So tempted to put Flesh by Kylie Scott on your viewer recommends form (mfm romance in a zombie apocalyptic world) since you liked the walking dead. It is really hot but very insta lovely so not sure you would like it.
It's honestly more the MFM part that has me out of it. MMF is the only kind of menage I like. Haha!
Have you read Skin? Like Flesh, it’s a zombie survival story. The hero sees the heroine in a group of people barely surviving and trades for her. It’s a hate to love romance too.
Oooo... I may be willing to try that one.
@@TheBookRefuge There’s also a little kinky stuff at the end of the story. It’s a 4/4.5 star read for me.

🌟dom heroine recommendations🌟
You should read surviving Raine
Have read it! Loves it. I read it not long after this video.
An you new hair is gorgeous.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
🌟Hello Everyone 🌟
Is the Whiteout smutty?
I wouldn't say smutty. There are some full sex scenes but it's definitely heavy on the romantic suspense. :)
