So the difference is the packaging. Right... Brake rotors are one of the biggest hoaxes in cycling industry. They all work EXACTLY THE SAME. Real, fake, Shimano, Sram, Magura, you name it. Some cost 20 bucks, some 200 bucks - pay what you like, the results are equal.
So what are the downsides in the real world of using a so-to-say fake sram rotor?? Did you noticed anything or just compared it on the desk rather than actually riding it??
the fake works fine. i worn out two pairs whitout any problem. i guess it's steel laser cutted, still made from good steel. Just swap before they hit the limit point just for being extra safe.
Did you use metallic pads with the rotors? I assume that's the case since you mentioned the rotors are wearing out. So if I use Resin pads I should be good for a long time with these fakes right.
Thans for the information!
Thought I’d spread the word and save people out there thinking they are paying for a real SRAM item. You’re welcome!

No difference! Works Fine!
The fake literally works like a dream XD no point of buying original
Yes😂
Can imagine that both come from same place, at least the rotors.
heh, definitely could have came from the same place. Choice of materials and machinery on the other hand are different.
Fake and original same works for me
Agreed, I haven’t noticed much of a difference actually
yeah almost bought those but figured the price was too cheap to be real and also there was some reviews that said the cheap one had bad tolerances.
Thanks that's helpful I subscribed 😉

Been riding with it (and a legit SRAM) rotor. Brake feel seems about the same, but time will tell if the pads start wearing prematurely.
Fake works fine actually,
i visited sram website and found out they were on the list, A2 with the outlined logo and A1 with a solid

@@3ngineer627 resin
Does it work like the real one?
I just installed the fake one on my hardtail, and it seems to work about the same so far, with just bedding in a set of new pads.
Works the same
I use fake rotor fake pads and they work perfectly. As good or better than my magura set.
Just stop
I got those fake rotors but they work really good for 8.00 203mm😂
love the video!!! but please stop moving the objects around so much
Good point, I do that so the camera can find and focus on the items, but I’m sure it can get annoying quickly! Thanks for the input 🙏🏽
good tip for next videos. I just bought fake ones from china to try it out. will see. I ride alot also
"Fakes? Dime size bag." 🤣
shimano japan and shimano china rotors next please
helped me 👍
