His style is exactly that, it’s smooth illusions combined with height and reach, his style combines surprise attacks and random movements while giving his opponents confusion and doubt. Lima just had laser focus and found the gaps, no fear, cool guy

Nah Page didn’t want to give Lima time to recover from the jumping attack and sought to end it quickly and that’s why he left himself open while attempting the strike

@@emanuelpereira871 Well that's the first time I've seen him fight, so I guess you could be right. Strictly based on this fight though, I thought he did well, especially against Page, who's a pretty unique fighter. He was completely neutralized by Page when he had him on the ground, so that wasn't that impressive, but he seemed to keep his composure. As far as the two punches after the fight are concerned, that seems a ridiculous thing to say. You fight until the ref separates you, especially a bang bang situation like that. Page wasn't laying on the ground for 30 seconds and then Lima decided to start hitting him again. Those hammer fists came down within a second of Page falling. Any fighter would've done the same thing. There've been a lot of fights I've seen that had a knockout followed by two hammer fists (McGregor vs Aldo, Holmes vs Rousey, etc.)
The interview after was what struck me mostly. I thought he presented himself thoughtfully, respectful of the other fighters and the sport, and with a lot of class.
Everytime when I have a bad day, I look up this video and feel a whole lot better again 😂😂😂😂

Maershkin Schrabs Douglas Lima is one of the best welterweights in the world. He would absolutely be among the top 10 or top 5 in the UFC. Bellator still has some gimmicks in their roster but there is also serious talent there.
