Can’t believe the price on the flying jackets, here they would get hundreds! I collect just like you , my main interest is WW2 memorabilia. No idea why they call him Timmy Tightpants-he is one of the most generous dealers on the show along with Michael Stevens & Stewart. Often gives over the odds for kids & charity sales. Hilarious as well.
Saw my (former) sheffield plate teapot on the mantle - it was a friend's Chanukkah present. Diggin' on Tim's accent and the crazy shirt David ended up with - had his name on it. We call those leather flying jackets "bomber jackets", because the guys on B-17 bombers wore them. (Lancs too no doubt) As for Antique Dealer's Disease - guilty! Just spent a packet on jewelery at a church sale this morning. People who know nothing think you know a lot. Real dealers know we don't know much!
