Jean Sibelius Impromptu Op.5 for string orchestra Orchestre de Chambre Nouvelle Europe Nicolas Krauze, conductor Live concert in Vincennes, France, May 2017
I've never liked the string rendition, it's just too simple and bland whereas the piano can use glissandos to bring the piece to life. Nothing wrong with it, just not my preference. Also the piece is in B minor on piano and E minor for strings I've noticed. Just me being picky I guess haha!
I agree with both you and Peter B. Beautifully played here, but the piece cries out for a full orchestral version à la Wood Nymph in my view - but Andsnes's piano version is majestic.
Beautiful ❤️
Una preciosidad!
멋진 연주 감사합니다
Ihanaa musiikin virtaa 🎶💙
Hear me out, the first part on strings and second, more livelier part on piano :) Excellent performance nonetheless!
Works well with Nimrod

i'm the opposite---i much prefer the string version ... it feels much more finnish
