In an interview with Patrol Gaming Austin said that he'd really wanted to show off "opera Rob"; however, Rob said he wouldn't unless Austin sang it with him. Austin said he thought he'd been okay but that Rob was fantastic. I love how they support each other. Although they're both classically trained, Rob's training focused on opera, Austin had some opera training but not to the same extent.

Both are trained vocalists. Rob studied opera in college, though it was 15+ years ago. Austin studied musical theater.
Both sing in the fantastic country a cappella group, Home Free. They have dozens of videos on RUclips, and many aren’t country. They also feature one of the best beat boxers in the world, Adam Rupp, and a couple of great bass singers.
    I’d recommend starting with these:
    Man of Constant Sorrow
    Sea Shanty Medley
    End of the Road
When a Man Loves a Woman
    My Church
    Can’t Stop the Feeling
    Blue Ain’t Your Color
    Seven Bridges Road
*Mayday (watch only after you’ve seen 5-6 other songs)
They’ve also done Never Gonna Give You Up and a few funny (and excellent) medleys, including the Butts Remix.
Of course, you can go to their channel and watch the most popular songs too. You really can’t go wrong. (Just wait to see Mayday. Trust me.)

Rob and Austin are 2 of the 5 members of Home Free, my favorite a cappella group. They did justice to iconic opera, being as their many years of singing together has never encompassed the operatic genre! The professionalism of the group, however, is not questioned. I think you would enjoy Home Free's performance of "Helplessly Hoping", original by Crosby, Stills and Nash. That number shows off their timing, their tight (!) and beautiful harmonies, their unison, as well as the perfection of the visual production. Enjoy it! I enjoyed your reaction and comments tonight. Someone recently posted who studied at the same college as Austin, pointing out that the music theatre students had the same demanding classical training as the opera students, and that both were required to prepare for and perform auditions for college shows, both musicals and opera. Austin's teachers wanted him to study opera, presumably because they knew that a good-looking lyric tenor with "spinto" (incisiveness) was worth his weight in gold!

Rob Lundquist (glasses) and Austin Brown (long hair) are members of the a cappella vocal band Home Free and have been singing together for a good 10 years. Austin also has his own music YT channel which is not a cappella and he's often accompanied by his close friends Steven Martinez on guitar or Sebastien Douyon on keyboard. He's done several videos with each of them in his living room or outside on his deck or on the grass with his fishing pond amidst the trees behind them. I highly recommend his simply awesome rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Miz.

Both these men are highly trained singers with years of experience under their belts. Their technique is impeccable, though Rob (beard) could have opened his mouth a little more at times. They have sung together for 10 years so know how to make the voices blend.
Praise is due to Sebastien Douyon, who arranged, recorded and produced this. He will have used pre-recorded backing, but every change you make to those needs careful rebalancing.

To correct you: Bocelli is not an opera singer! He does what is widely known as popera, which is a mix of opera and pop. Why Bocelli isn't considered an opera singer you would probably ask? Because he does not sing in opera houses. To be an opera singer you have to sing in operas, meanwhile Bocelli decided to stick to normal concerts and sing various repertoires. Be careful, you would be eaten alive by opera elitists if they saw you mention Bocelli and opera in the same sentence 😅

Rob and Austin came from different musical genres but found success in the acapella group Homefree singing the American genre of country music which is distinct from folk music. Nashville is the home of country music as opposed to New York City, Los Angeles or London for other popular genres for english speakers.
In a 5 man acapella group there are 2 tenors. Austin is the high tenor of the group. They have been singing together in Homefree for 10 years.

I have forced myself to listen to Home Free on several occaisions and despite the horrible country music vibe ( like sitting through fingernails on a chalkboard), I was able to recognize that they were very talented vocalists.
If only, someone had suggested this performance. This was wonderful.😍👍🌹❤️

Her movement didnt distract me at all, unlike a lot of reactors who talk over the music. She obviously enjoyed their singing, as well as showed much respect to Rob and Austin.
