Saw billy joel in Dallas 3/24 Michael D, was backing him up singing and rhythm guitar. I didnt realize tonight how much he sounds like bj and Robert plant, . Michael D very talented. Great tribute band.
Great show, great filming! Brings a nostalgic feeling; I remember seeing Billy Joel at MSG in the late 1980's, then driving out with a friend to the end of Long Island late at night as it started snowing. Beautiful. One of my favorite memories ever. Seems like everyone has been sneaking in a John Denver song into their concerts lately, can't ever go wrong with JD! But "Hit The Road, Jack" is so perfect to hear as everyone left at the end of the concert. Thanks for putting this up, Barry!
@soaringnewengland1970 Yes ACTUALLY, everyone except for the Bass Player Nick Dimachino(WHO WAS THE BASS PLAYER FOR 9 DAYS) & Carmine Giglio(WHO IS ALEXA RAY JOEL'S KEYBOARD PLAYER!) & ALSO this Guitarist that's playing on this show, but it's usually Tommy Byrnes from the Billy Joel Band! And MOST times, Mark Rivera of Billy Joel plays, but John Scarpula plays quite a bit as well, & has been with BIG SHOT for Years, & so was ORIGINAL Sax player Richie Canata! I've been Friends with Mike since He started BIG SHOT in 2000, & look, 13 YEARS LATER Billy asked Him to join the Band, & now He's part of History with the MSG RESIDENCY, & HE JUST PERFORMED ON THE 66TH GRAMMY AWARDS! I'm so proud of this Guy, He's so sweet, & humble, & I've been VERY VERY fortunate to have been able to perform with them quite a few times! They're ALL GREAT CLASSY, HUMBLE GUYS!
