One things for sure though, BTS has not reached their peak yet, they are still evolving, it's evident by each solo release, the members are still venturing outside the box of their genre. They always release music that is unpredictable and outside of their boxes like namjoon leaning into soulful/ballad instead of agressive hiphop rap , jhope into dark edgy rock instead of bright catchy dancable songs, yoongi is practicing singing ans jimin is rapping melodically.
    We literally cannot restrict them.
I can't fathom their growth after they come back.

Daesang's prestige is same as the Grammy's in the US.
    As of today:
The most awarded group in history: BTS (around 1,050 awards)
The most streamed artist on youtube: BTS
Thes most streamed group on spotify: BTS
    Artist with most daesangs: BTS
And a whole lot more achievements with MOST & FIRSTS.
I cant state all their achievements since it's so many but indeed BTS is the biggest group this era. So many records that they broke and even made.
If only western industry is open in welcoming BTS, they would literally break that industry. But even w/ all the struggles they're facing.. They're breaking barriers. There are numerous times they got snubbed or robbed w/ opportunities, records, awards, achievements. But.. Life goes on. They never wanted to play the industry's game anyway. They settle w/ nothing instead of paying someone just to be awarded w/ something they deserve in the 1st place.

Yeah but Grammy cannot be bought for winning BTS because they know what's happening in 2017 event when Big Hit collaborating MAMA for manipulating the awards, giving most major awards to BTS when it isn't suppose to be theirs. Go searchthat even titled EXO vs MAMA. They blamed MAMA not Big Hit or BTS. But the obvious can see in that event and they're continuing it in the U. S. A and or in the West, manipulating Western that BTS should be a big band inthe world, but not all believed their lies and manipulation, like Grammy for instance, only army threatening Grammy why at least giving the nominations. BTS not even a vocal group so why win Grammy? There's many kpop group way more better than BTS, for example EXO the vocal kings, the kpop R&B kings and Ballad. OST kings. EXO is just silent, while BTS is noisy and annoying especially their fans lol!

There are a few factors to remember whenever comparing BTS to any other artist:
While I can't comment on BSBoys, One Direction were brought together by the BGT show, so very much manufactured, and thereafter they were heavily and expensively promoted to ensure their success. BSBoys may not have had the same level of financial backing, but I suspect they were actually promoted by their company even after they got the numbers...
Big Hit had almost literally NO BUDGET to make MVs or promote BTS - and even after debut, the company continued to struggle financially, until they achieved a significant amount of international success. That success was effectively generated by the band themselves by means of their engagement with fans on social media. No other band before them used social media the way BTS did or does even today. Now all the kpop bands do it to some degree.
Most other kpop bands are actively promoted even before debut by their companies - to such an extent that bands from the big 3 companies, who are enormously influential on music shows and media, are almost automatically guaranteed success. BTS never had such influence which was funded partly by payments and even bribes, but also the threat of withdrawing big artists from shows. BTS remains neglected by Korean media. But they keep winning - because of fans. They still don't pay media or DJs for plays or appearances.
BTS' international and especially USA success has occurred with almost or absolutely no support from western/US media. They are still seldom played on radio - a major part of award show success. In addition, rules frequently get changed specifically limit the success of artists of colour - particularly non-American artists. Why? Well, you probably know. There is ample evidence of the racism and xenophobia that BTS have experienced, and even employees of, for example, the Grammys have been open about the active measures applied to keep them out.
Even 1D were OK because they are British, and that more or less means 'almost American'.
1D were around for 4 years and in that time did well. BTS only really started internationally in 2017, so at the point of their hiatus had been known for 5 years and since then their rise has been exponential. That's mind bending. 2025 will be explosive. I wonder what the tally would be if one were to average out these annual measures across the board between these artists. BSBoys were active for 9 years. 1D were around for 4 years and in that time did well.
BTS had almost no promotion in their early years and only really started internationally in 2017, so at the point of their hiatus had been known for 5 years. Since 2017 their rise has been exponential. That's mind bending.
There will come a time when the world has had enough, but so far, all I see is hunger and love for everything BTS do. There is a comparison here to The Beatles - if anything BTS' potential is even greater than them. Like them, BTS are continually evolving, while remaining true to their vision. Like them they are all talented, but there are 7, and all are songwriters producers and performers. All have very quickly built impressive solo careers. Even while they are on active military service they will all continue to work on music. RM is probably already planning, not only for their MMS period, but for their return. 2025 will be explosive.
If, as I think you said, you want to go to their concert when they come back, you need to collect your bank of computers, amass your staff, investigate and optimise your software, practice your finger-clicking techniques, and pray. Oh, and all of you will need to join ARMY fanbase on Weverse so that you can be eligible for priority tickets - because they will ALL go in seconds! I reckon about 50 million other ARMYs are already well along with their personal strategy (and travel and hotel plans) to go. You will not be competing only with USA fans! Enjoy! And good luck ... 😏👍💜

I think its super unfair to compare BTS to backstreet boys and 1D. They do not have the same starting points. 1) BTS are asian artists. Asians are traditionally underrepresented and or misrepresented in western world of music. 2) BTS did not have access to all the resources and recieve the support of the music industry like the other 2 grps did. They grew from social media, from mostly if not purely fan support, just like a grass roots movement. 3) BTS did not even have the industry support from their own country when they started out. All this to say BTS had a longer distance to run and steeper climb to the top. (No offense to the other 2 grps I think they are phenomenol in their own right). I also don't think BTS has peaked yet.

A lot of groups start as boybands and clearly remain so. The Beatles however evolved, particularly after forgoing live performances in favor of creative in studio albums. If you listen to their last full concert in San Francisco, you barely can hear them playing due to all the screaming. What came afterward was remarkably innovative and barely resembled their boyband days. BTS from the get started with some groundbreaking efforts while at the same time trying to appeal to a typical Idol audience most committedly comprised of young females. Regardless of visuals, it took many years of quality music before their efforts to be Idols with a boyband-like giant following took hold. For BTS there was no we are a boyband breakout like One Direction or Back Street Boys. It was more recognizing commercial appeal involved playing that game to an extent. Bang PD moved the group in this direction early on but never stripped BTS of their hip hop honesty to speak your mind. So Boyband comparisons? I am not sure that applies except for groups purely conceived to be boybands.

I like that you are covering so much of BTS....I was and still am a Beetle Fan . My youth and beyond was the 1960's that was my era. I have a vinyl collection and CD's as well. An interviewer on an American chat show Stephen Colbert said to BTS that they were as big as the Beatles, but they said humbly, no way The Beatles were the Best. They look up to them, even though they sold out in a couple of hours a few years ago to perform at Wembley and had about 3 concerts there. Of course I'm bias BTS, they sing and dance live, they all play musical instruments, they write and produce a couple of them act, and some of them have degrees as well. They have been recognised for their message and support to the youth of the world by their own government and also invited to the White House to give speeches and even perform starting off inside the building and the Whitehouse gardens. All except one has released their Solo Album, written all their own material. The list is endless. My First Boy Band was The Beatles . My Father would not allow me to go to stadiums or even to the Town Hall to see them even though he liked the Beatles. Instead, he bought the family an ordinary record player, but I had to buy my own vinyl records.😊😊😊😊 Australian Army Fan 🇦🇺 Borahea 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

They went on hiatus in June of 2022 in order to accomplish that. Since then 5 of them have put out albums with accompanying videos, and 2 have put out singles with videos. The last person put out a single that was number 1 for 8 weeks globally, and then another joined him at number 2 globally. Since 1985 no other band, boyband, group sold more than BTS and they are only 10 yo group... it's mad. Also it us very soon the will aim to overtake GunsnRoses position ...

Most people don't own record players, Cassette tape decks or even CD players. I have them all but I have a big music room. Artists in the USA will sell physical ablums for a couple of US $ or Bundle them eg give them away free if you buy something else like a socks or even what you call Candy they'll do that in order to get up the Billboard Charts. While BTS sell real Physical Albums which are not sold for a couple of US Dollar but are made to make money which we fans buy often having to order straight from South Korea. I order via Amazon UK then wait for the physical album to arrive from South Korea.

Music industry fears BTS cuz they do not follow the path industry has set ! The buying of awards , paying your way up other k-pop groups n Western artist need to do that to survive but BTS doesn't ! Bts trusts their music and army's power ! They know we are great in numbers and honest always follow voting rules no cheating! Bts values are core of army... They understand each other like no other! When they not like anything they clearly say it in live and we make sure that doesn't happen or that joke is never made again ! So it's all about real love and support they have ! They love us same as we love them you might not know but we made song for them too and they reacted and heard it in their live! So I do not think other big groups in west have such tight nit community and bond with their artist like we do ! There artist do not even respond back and it's the difference yk it's not like we only stan BTS they stan us back too ! That's how they are the biggest boygroup yet humble and kind people just like me n you ! Jungkook often comes live randomly and there are more views than Grammy can even gather ! I do not think they need Grammy to prove themselves a better artist ! Grammy needs them not the other way around !
