So I’ve been styling like this for years and never knew it had a name, I can’t believe it. I’m now excitedly looking through everyone else’s take on it. Timelessness, minimalist, calm and I believe this all comes from its natural inspiration as of course nature itself is the most imperfectly timeless minimalistic beautiful thing we have.
I've started doing this in my home. One room a time, declutter then nice clean white walls stick to earthy tones too and I'm quite eclectic and random in style too but it's actually going well together. it makes you fell mutch lighter ,, more clean air I sware it's easier to keep clean n tidy also.
Many thanks for this video! Japandi and Wabi-Sabi are my favorite styles - most of my projects in planner 5d are one of those style. These tips are just super handy!
I’m so happy to have found this video. It’s so beautiful and inspiring. Imagine coming home to this after a tiring day, you would be transformed by its peace and calm. Thank you for explaining this so well, I didn’t know there was a name for this. It’s utter simplicity is just the loveliest thing and achievable too. I’m going to try to incorporate this into my life.
I love the wabi sabi signature look. I'm just now decorating my home after years of living in it. I didn't want my home to have the same copycat look of others. Thanks again!!
Wow! I loved that about, "what you have right in your home can be looked at with fresh eyes." This style reminds me of Hygge. I guess all cultures have their own interpretation of a peaceful environment.
Watched this at 3am UK time after having a really bad day. Thank you so much Liz - this was much needed. I loved every bit of it and will watch it several times to take inspiration from you x
Hi Liz 🤍 I didn’t know much about the WABI-SABI way of living. I love that it is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. I really enjoyed the tips you provided! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend 🕊
I wouldn’t totally agree, it’s all based on what you personally enjoy watching from me. I do a few types of content here. But I appreciate your opinion. ☺️ I filmed it all on my IPhone lol! 🤍
😍 yes! I’m in the middle of changing my whole entire style and I was going through my decor and I have a lot of the wabi sabi style decor, and now I know how to style it! Thank you love
*I LOVE this short and very informational video Liz* . Your voice is very calming. You're sooo good at practicing restraint and curating your items down.
Liz I just love your channel you actually made me want to be in that calm soft and peaceful atmosphere. You are so good at what you do. Thank you for bringing this home decor to us. Blessing for a good day.

Very beautiful video. I'm first time- watching your channel. Firstly impressed and got subscribe 😊 for this beautiful video. Do more like this videos 👌🏻
Right. BUT, if you study interior design and are truly immersed in the trends, you would already know that many have adopted a “wabi-sabi” way of living. The way you think about something that is perfectly imperfect is how many are approaching their homes. Wabi sabi isn’t just a philosophy it has become more than that to those that embrace it’s true meaning. The trend became big in the design space last year. There’s tons of books about the wabi-sabi life..look it up. ✌🏽
Feels like wabi Sabi interior design is just minimalism with more earthy tones. If people wanted interior design that was also true to the philosophy it would be making things on your own or buying used furniture.
only have what you love is probably the best tip. if you only possess things you love, you will automatically care for them more, interact with them more, and your place will become more lively.
In regards to textiles - If you are thrifting for a particular colour in drapes, cushion covers and throws etc, dont pass up the perfect item because it's the wrong colour. Remember most textiles can bleached and dyed.
Sorry, but I will "declutter" over my dead body! I love each and every object, furniture piece and work of art in my home. I have a wall filled with works of art spanning over 4 years of collecting.
Wabi-sabi has nothing to do with "Less Is More". It's actually can be seen as opposing of "less is more", which is the motto of Modernism aiming for getting rid of decoration, ornaments in favor of standardized, modularized and perfection of rationale (hence the cold, soul-less glass towers). Wabi-sabi is about the imperfect, unconventional and incomplete. Both wabi-sabi and "less is more" design can "look" simple, but the aesthetics and the philosophy is completely opposite.
I am speechless right now? Anyone else feel the same. You nailed this video.

When did wabi-sabi become a ‘lifestyle’ ? .🌿 It’s an ancient aesthetic philosophy. 🌿

In its fullest expression, it can be a lifestyle
I didn't know that my decorative style had a name😔. I am so relieved.

only have what you love is probably the best tip. if you only possess things you love, you will automatically care for them more, interact with them more, and your place will become more lively.
The tcup in the beginning of the intro 😍 where can I buy them!!? 😍
RW Guild but Etsy has a ceramic artist who makes these exact ones..look up scallop dish/bowl should pop up.
Yeaas Liz! Bringing that calming voice
In regards to textiles - If you are thrifting for a particular colour in drapes, cushion covers and throws etc, dont pass up the perfect item because it's the wrong colour. Remember most textiles can bleached and dyed.
A good definition of Wabi-Sabi is beauty acquired through a natural process such as aging, or through the creative process itself.
Love
Spot on! Awesome presentation, useful and informative! ❤️
I appreciate that, so glad you enjoyed the video! 🤍
Wabi-sabi also believed imperfections are beautiful such as a crack in a bowl period and just filled in with gold
😍 😍 😍
What paint color are the walls? Lovely
Nice tea cups and saucer at the beginning of the video. Can you share where to purchase?
RW Guild thank you! ☺️
where are your gold rings from? :)
where'd you get that glass kettle?
Hello! Where are your curtains from? Or what material are they made of?
Not sure which you’re referencing but all of my curtains are Belgian linen or sheet voile in the back room. 🤗
Sorry, but I will "declutter" over my dead body! I love each and every object, furniture piece and work of art in my home. I have a wall filled with works of art spanning over 4 years of collecting.
Way to go Ron! 👍
Where are your mugs and plates from? The white ones
They are from RW Guild ☺️
Where is your dining table from??
Restoration Hardware
❤️🙏🏻🦋
