This time a shorter edit, mainly because I have a few interesting transitions left and I won't let anything go to waste ;)
I also have to thank you for so many positive comments on the previous video, it really motivated me to make a second Spider-Verse edit.

Editing coordination to make Edgar Wright jealous!
So, having worked with the first movie, it tends to just be Like That™️.
There's a lot of springy and arcing movement, which lends itself wonderfully to transitions, and the high contrast in many of the scenes also helps- in fact, I'm fairly certain that the first movie at least has 2 major pallets. The colder blue/black/purple that contrasts with spidey's red, and the warmer tone that we see in the forest, aunt May's, etc. Been a year or two since I did the edit tho.

a factor contributing to that observation is because the animators actually did reuse some scenes from the first movie in the second movie, and drew over the scenes. (not saying that this is bad or lazy, in fact, it’s very resourceful of them considering the epic magnitude of animation they have to do)
I also like how Spider man is struggling to fight his opponent each scene
These cuts are genius. I especially love the one at 0:27 with Miles to Gwen's dad to the Prowler, and the one at 0:33 with Gwen to Miles to Miguel. The way you match them to follow the motion and guide the viewers' eyes across the screen is amazing.
This is my favorite 0:40 from Gwen to miles to miles again and back to Gwen
Another one is at 0:14 where miles is getting pulled back and then it switches to the original spiderman

@@miggy8thepro I think they meant by the one at 0:29 and perhaps just got a few seconds off
@@miggy8thepro ?? Never said he was. I was talking about the 3-shot sequence of Miles getting pulled forward by a web, Gwen's Dad getting pushed backward by a web, and the Prowler hitting a wall. I think there's a shot of Spider-Noir right before that but I didn't mention him since he's not part of the fluid motion I was praising.

THIS WAS LINED UP SO WELL!!! the fact that no clip was repeated twice is insane, and the way you perfectly synced up the sound and the imagery IS EVEN GODDAMN CRAZIER?!?!? i seriously can't imagine how long this took, and I'm mad this doesn't have more views and likes.

Favorite part was the transition from Miles falling to Miguel landing to him recovering and launching, it worked so well together.
Off Topic, the thumbnail makes it feel like Miguel and Gwen are judging my fashion choices.

i was accidentally watching this in 720p and holy crap that just made me appreciate how much texture the animation has for me to notice it IMMEDIATELY.

As a rhythm game player, the sfx in sync with the music itch my brain in the most heavenly way possible
this is perfect, itches my brain just right fr fr. loved the transition where Miles is trying to grab his web shooter to Nior grabbing his hat. oh not even to mention doc oc splitting the tree to the kingpin? there's so many more, it's just perfectly in beat and the clips just flash by so smoothly and the transitions are awesome.
