Plan on a minimum yearly operating expense of between $400,000 to $1 million for any of the airplanes you showed here depending on the number of hours flown. Plan too on replacing or overhauling the run out engines on these at a cost of between $750,000 and $1,400,000 within the first two years of ownership. Also, for the jets you show here, plan on a lower than 50% availability due to maintenance issues, especially waiting for hard to find parts.
A few other options: Vintage military has always been an option for the jet pilot on a budget. I've managed to find a Fouga Magister, an L-29, and a BAC Strikemaster for well under $250k. You could also build a SubSonex for that price. The single seat version has been around for a few years now, and they're developing a 2 seat model using the same engine. That's a tiny thing, about 260 lb of thrust, so fuel burn should be nice and low. This one's just an idea, and I'm not sure it would work, but how about putting a jet engine in a Velocity XL? If a rocket engine fits (see Rocket Racing League), why not? The others I listed can't really fill the same role as the planes in the video, but this one has a big enough cabin that it just might. Think of it as a cheaper, better looking alternative to the Cirrus SF50.
