    Don’t get why they would still require this when leaving from US port..but not other countries. CDC just basically gave them the green light to end this. Also, if you aren’t going to test EVERYONE…then testing anyone is dumb IMO.

    Very fortunate to have found your NCL specific channel. First time cruise to Alaska. Biggest thing has been anxiety finding a place to test within the 48 hours. Found a place that takes insurance and gives priority with certificate of results in 20 mins. Cool. Going one day early. Didn't like returning airfare, cancelled and booked "independent" as wasn't flying back with spouse....got first class...cuz i'm not stressing about the trip. Thank you.

      So glad that you found the channel also! Alaska is one of the destinations that's still on my list. I've heard so many things about how beautiful it is!

    When I called NCL they said you DO NOT have to do covid testing if sailing from the USA. I even asked from my port of Canaveral and they so no do not need to do covid test before if fully vaccinated.

    Off topic but do you book your cruises thru NCL or travel agent?

    • @CruisewithGrant
      @CruisewithGrant  2 года назад

      Hi Brant, great question! I usually book through a travel agent; this initially had to do more with earning travel points, but on my last cruise I went to great session by the Cruise Next team that advised that you always book either with an agent or NCL cruise consultant. In general they said they will almost always be able to help with escalations if anything goes wrong. I experienced the benefits first hand when I ran into an issue with rebooking a cancelled cruise in April this year.
      If you have any other questions also happy to connect on Instagram offline @cruisewithgrant Hope this was helpful! 😀

    QUESTION - We are leaving on The Norwegian Jade from Athens in less than 2 weeks. Do we know if they offer testing at the port?

    • @CruisewithGrant
      @CruisewithGrant  2 года назад

      Hi Scott, thanks for the question. As the testing requirements have been changing it would be a good idea to check in with NCL directly to find out if they offer testing at the port. It would make sense to me given the current requirements, but better to be sure. I've found the chat feature on the NCL website a great way to get an answer quickly. Wishing you safe travels!

    I am NOT vaccinated. Can I take a cruise on Norwegian from the USA ????

    • @CruisewithGrant
      @CruisewithGrant  2 года назад

      Hi Kevin, great question. Currently NCL is requiring guests to be vaccinated for all cruises regardless of departure port. They are looking to introduce some big changes in September. Stay tuned I'll have an update video on it shortly!

    Any info on the ArriveCan app requirement? On the NCL site it mentions to check the Arrive by Ship for the ArriveCan app. But I'm flying into Vancouver BC for our embarkation, so I would think that I'm arriving by Air... Or do I have to fill out 2 different ArriveCan aps for Air into BC from LAX, then 1 to arrive by Ship to get on the cruise ship. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    • @CruisewithGrant
      @CruisewithGrant  2 года назад +1

      Hi Luis sorry for the delay in replying. I think it's definitely best to review the Canada Border Services website for details. I've only used the App myself when entering by air. My understanding is that anytime you leave and re-enter the country you would need to complete the App. NCL may also have some guidance as this comes up alot for Alaskan cruises. Hope this helps point you in the right direction.

      @llroxs1 2 года назад

      Hey luis, you just have to do the arrive can thing to get into Canada, you do not have to do that twice. If you're arriving back to canada via the cruise you have to do arrive can again.

      Thanks for noting this Caroline! Things are changing and so you're right not every cruise line has the same requirements. As of writing Virgin Voyages has dropped their US testing for example. Always good to keep checking the latest requirements. Wishing you safe and happy cruising 🛳
