I actually have some inside information about this Tic Tac shaped vessel. The commander in charge at the Pentagon recently confirmed this footage to be genuine. A well trusted fighter jet pilot said in an undisclosed interview that this was the most impressive manouvering he had ever seen. He followed the vessel for hundreds of miles, over the Nevada desert, and then proceeded to engage it over California state. The fighter pilot managed to match its speed for a brief moment over a river, and followed along its side. The pilot got a look inside the cockpit of said vessel. And in charge of the sticks, little monkey fella.

I do think Ricky enhances Karl. When Karl says things like the pilot was "whizzing about, enjoying himself" I really miss Ricky ridiculing the notion of an enlisted pilot just having fun in his plane as opposed to following strict orders.

I would love Karl to do a series, a bit like the travel ones, but finding out info from scientists. Interesting facts about everyday stuff stuff like magnets, and weather forecasting, and gravity, and i think he would have his mind blown by the large hadron collider. I reckon he would enjoy making it as much as we would enjoy watching :)
