The end of this episode is probably the coolest animated fight I have ever seen. The storytelling with the visuals is insane. That crazy colorful sequence is awesome and then it makes the brutal, simple beatdown hit so much harder. One of the coolest animated scenes ever IMO
This is such a lovely detail it's a shame it's hidden that well. Show don't tell is an important rule, but Arcane is so committed to it, sometimes it's really hard to figure out what they're showing unless you're pausing every frame xD In this case it's an amazing representation of their ways to handle attachment and protectiveness, with Cait trying to hold on tight and shield while Vi pushes away as she considers herself to be responsible and the source of the danger.
@@Arkayjiya Fortiche loves to hide small details even in cinematics, that only few people watching it frame by frame would notice. And thanks to documentary, we know that they follow on what theories people have, and aknowledged that some people would make 20 minutes essay for 10 sec shorts
I mean frankly, this episode should make you emotional because it's really well written and so freaking good. The scene where Ekko and Vi have a little spat and then give each other a hug and he sheds a tear gets me every freaking time. I always cry at that scene. It's beautiful, and Ekko is a wonderful character, the way that he's cultivated this beautiful life outside of the horrible things he's dealt with shows you how awesome of a character he is. 😅 The dude might actually be my favorite character in the series. He's also obviously one of the smartest characters in the series, and I love that bit.
15:38 Vi and Caitlyn's reactions really exemplify their respective personalities and instincts. Caitlyn tried to shield Vi; reflecting her selfless desire to protect people even at the cost to herself. In contrast, Vi pushed Caitlyn out of the way; reflecting her more pragmatic approach to protecting people and getting the job done. 😁😁
It's not just pragmatism imo, it's also because Vi thinks herself responsible for the danger, she thinks she's the source of it so to protect people she needs to push them away from her. (SPOILER) - - - - - - - This also serves as foreshadowing to what happens a bit later.
I'm pretty sure the intention is that Silco doesn't cough because it's the polluted air from the undercity and the other Chembarons are used to the fresh pure air of Piltover where as he has stayed in the undercity so he is used to it, Like how the citizen don't wear masks but the enforcers do.
@@haydynsmith4518 no, they are all people from the undercity in that room. If that would be the case at least Sevika would do the same thing but she wears a mask as well. You can see that Silco takes a very deep breath when Sevika closes the doors. And if that would be the case, what's the point (aside from demonstration of power) of sniffing the mask before giving it to Finn? He took another deep breath because he was running out, too.
Hey there again Yay! Once again i come with some League news and i think you'll be thrilled to hear that despite a lot of struggles and a very hard season (the worst ever from the current roster) Faker and T1 are once again at the Worlds finals! It's absolute insanity, 3 World Finals in a row despite going through some of the roughest years and it's not luck, some way, somehow they always find a way to step up their game when it comes to Worlds, even Faker who's been struggling a lot is playing a fantastic Worlds so yeah it's just amazing to see, i'm not even a T1 fan ( I'm a Fnatic fan rip lmao) but witnessing this? It's something out of this World, one of the craziest stories, if not the craziest, i've see in esports or even sports. But yeah Yay, this means when you do your reaction to the Worlds Opening Ceremony with Linkin Park, you'll be seeing Faker too!! Finals and Opening Ceremony will be next Saturday at 2 P.M/GMT
Haha, this was top tier entertainment. It was hilarious watching shout at them through the screen, if only they listened. Then, to have you go from laughter to tears within seconds at the end, golden. So question... how invested are you now? In the first two episodes you was intrigued enough but still on the fence until episode 3. Very curious to know where you investment ranks at this stage.
I just had a random thought.... During the bomb dismantling scene, when Viktor mentioned that there was always a choice.... I wonder if it had a double meaning. I wonder if it was narratively also referring to his cutting the wire to dismantle the bomb. That was also a choice - he could've blown him and Jayce up. Without them, the Council wouldn't be able to weaponise Hextech. If so, it was also be a nice callback to the scene between Marcus and Silco, where Silco handed Marcus the bomb. Except with Marcus, he _couldn't_ make the choice where as with Viktor, he chose not to blow himself up.
I saw an analysis mentioning this a couple of days ago, I hadn't gotten it because I saw Mel as the one pushing for weapons so I didn't see the choice but it makes sense like this, even to drive his point home to Jayce.
I’m trying not to get more Arcane models to paint until S2. At least I have a Psylocke to finish and a Chun Li. But I really want to paint some of the S2 looks. I won’t spoil, but a couple looks are gonna be fun. My kid already wants one of the VI looks, that means I get to paint two of them. If you have seen the S2 trailer you probably know what I’m talking about.
Love the mumbling on the bridge. Straight back to first episode. Its the place where she lost the sense of life value. Thats why she kills and thats why she doesnt care about herself.
Mel used Jayce to get rid of Heimerdinger to increase her control and mold him into ehat she believes they need. She's not evil, but there's nothing innocent about her. These folks are all repeating the same patterns Heimerdinger has seen for centuries. They slowly march themselves down the path towards destroying themselves.
She does not make the 'peace' gesture, he flutters his fingers as if to imply that they are the antennae of a firefly, which is the animal represented by ekko (for the people of zaun and the game they played when they were children)

that ekko jinx scene is masterpiece
8:15 Subtle touch. The gas was so toxic it killed the plants in the background. Such a nice detail to include by the creators.
15:39 If you watch it in slow motion, it seems Caitlyn tried to use her body to cover Vi and Vi pushes Caitlyn away.

I had never noticed that ! I went back to watch it in HD, and if you frame by frame you see everything. That's so cool.

They just know where to hit that correct spot to hurt you good.
Ekko is my favorite character of the show 💚🔥
Silco took a deep breath when he entered the room with the chem barons- that's why he could hold his breath for so long not coughing while talking

Always love a detail, that Marcus still aiming with his left hand, because Powder damaged his right hand with chompers in ep2
this episode is definitely my favorite episode too alongside the finale episode!

16:40 the unintentional foreshadowing

Great Reaction :)

Is totally double meaning. Most reactors didn't notice it, sadly.

Vi later told Jayce he didn't have a choice is a callback to this too
We: Was it a good episode?
Yay: 10 plums out of 10!

This and the next ep are the best for me
