Yes, but it was completely by accident. He just couldn't stop tapping his toes from "This Is My Country". In all fairness is IS quite the infectious groove.
Let's see. Where are they now? Trent Lott resigned over racist comments, 2002. Larry Craig resigned after gay scandal, 2007. John Ashcroft lost re-election to a dead guy, 2000. Jim Jeffords left the GOP to sit with the Democrats, 2001. All of that said, I actually quite liked their singing. There should be more of this kind of thing in politics.
@@Dilster2000 His opponent died in the middle of the campaign, AFTER the ballot papers have been printed. In those cases the election goes ahead and if people vote for the dead guy there is then a special election to replace him. Ashcroft lost to the dead guy (sitting Dem senator Mel Carnahan, killed in a plane crash in mid campaign).
There was this video about anti-gay conservatives caught being gay that sent me here. Also, I grew up listening to some Oak Ridge Boys songs, long story.
Raguleader Note that none of these men are members of the senate anymore. Also, Jim Jeffords became an Independent in 2001. He was the Senator before Bernie Sanders took over in 2007. He died in 2014.
I put this on expecting to just have a quick laugh, but by the time they started doing 'Elvira' I was clapping and singing along with them. Unexpectedly charming performance, this.
@@Master-vv4gn He was the best of the four at being a decent Senator and decent man, yes. Still a better singer than he was a Senator, though (especially at this time when he was still a Republican).
I wonder if Larry Craig did anything in the bathroom after the show
He was a wide thinker if you will, and that comment is way too wide outside of the box.

Hold up how do you lose an election to a dead guy

It's a shame, they seemed to be pretty good singers.

Why is the backing track a budget casio keyboard from 1981?
“We’re gonna make it out of the senate with this one”

2:16 is surprisingly good.
They killed on Elvira
For the most part, they were _much_ better singers than they were Senators.
Stumbled across this because of all the press about Congressman Ocasio-Cortez's old internet video of her dancing around.

Because you've got to dig a little deeper in the well. 😂😂😂😂
